The bust is gone (it was stolen). The graffeti is all gone and the grave is almost as non descript as any other in the cemetary. The grave wa roped off so that you could not come closer than about 5 feet away and there was a gaurd stationed nearby to prevent people from going past the ropes. It was still cool, but I had seen all the pictures and heard the stories of the site and made it a "must see" on my trip to Paris, so was a bit disappointed with how "sterile" it was. (Hugo, Jaures...), and if you're in France for a few days go at the cemetary on the Normandy's beaches of course In the US i saw a few famous graves, all the great ones at Arlington (JFK...), i saw General Lee's in Va, and the place that gave me the more thrills :the Gettysburg cemetary, where Lincoln made his famous speech. In there you can find the gravesites/memorials for: - Marilyn Monroe - Dean Martin - Buddy Rich - Natalie Wood - Mel Torme - Heather O'Rourke - Frank Zappa among many others. The most interesting thing, was on Dean Martin's memorial (he was creamated), his stone was covered in lipstick lip prints! http://www.seeing-stars.com/Buried2/PierceBros.shtml I also spent quite a bit at Arlington National a number of years ago.
