The problem with DV cases is not whether they are easy to prove or not. The problem is that in our court system the victims become victims all over again. It is too hard for them. Penalties are too lenient, burden of proof is too hard, enforcement is not consistent. And like everything else, the rich get slapped on the wrist, while the poor serve time.

 

The problem in pro football is that the players are coddled to from high school throughout their adult life. For the most part, colleges do not educate them nor enforce minimum academic standards. The other problem is the side effect that HGH, steroids and other drugs have on these guys. (see OJ). Their brains are fried. Drug testing in the major leagues is designed to catch those that are too stupid to mask what they are doing.
