26CornerBlitz
Cincinnati has a lot to play for with a potential 1st round playoff bye available to them. Not responding thus far tonight.
Just in Atlanta
Ben Roethlisberger looks solid out there. Wish we had a QB like that. EJ could be, but it's looking doubtful. Makes all the difference.

ecgetty
Now that Dalton has to do the holding on kicks doesn't he have to change helmets. That was the green dot radio rule right?

The holder is the technically the QB on FGs so I wouldn't think so.

4merper4mer
Peyton Manning is SI Sportsman of the Year. Boy that cut out in the promo looked nothing like Manning. My guess was Mike Tyson. Manning is funny though. He must have dressed up for that and hunched his shoulders all up just to fool people. It worked. John in Jax
Just saw on ESPN's "NFL Insiders" that punters & kickers are supposed to be given "protected status" at all times when they are on the field. The ESPN crew says it definitely should have been flagged, and that Hochulis' crew will suffer a downgrade, and the guy who made the hit will likely get fined. Sssssoooo, just wondering if that would have made any difference in the game's outcome, since that punt was returned for a TD by the Steelers, and it should have come back....Steelers would have started that drive somewhere just short of midfield. Also, IMHO, those are the kinds of hits (Blindside hits) which should be outlawed in any case, no matter who makes the hit. There's absolutely no need for the guy making the block to "lay out" the other guy when he's unaware the hit is coming. Hell, as the blocker, you could probably stop/knock the guy down with your arms alone.
