The Bills run game was going nowhere in the first half and Marrone smartly didn't want to hand Brady another short field and give him a chance to put the game away by halftime. As it turns out, the Pats ensuring drive went 3 and out and gave the ball right back to Buffalo, so I can't see the justification for all the criticism. Over 29 years of fanhood Posted September 9, 2013 Share Posted September 9, 2013 If we didn't get the first down we would have gotten the ball back with enough time to score rather than give the ball back to Brady with enough field to run the clock out. I'll never crucify a coach for trying to keep the ball out of Brady's hanks. Should have gone for it an let the chips fall where they fall. I think you need more experience before you can start making those kinds of calls. Lots of rookies including the head coach the quarterback wide receivers and On down the line. It will come.
