Cuse getting beaten up (as usual) at the face off X. Also, they are sliding too early from the crease to defend the attackman at X behind (Wolf). Johnny Hammersticks Posted May 27, 2013 Share Posted May 27, 2013 I'm afraid Duke's dominance facing off sealed Syracuse's fate today. The defense was exhausted, and Duke took advantage. Sloppy play all around. Too many unforced turn overs, weak on the ground balls, and horrific goalie play. The decision to play zone defense was puzzling to me. Duke took advantage, and started to create offense with their midfielders. Great season for the Orange though. We need a good face-off guy.
