'Running up the score' accusations are for overmatched school children, not professionals who are being paid millions of dollars to play the game at a competent level. The Bills were a helpless bunch of crybabies who had already quit, led by a clueless coach who was wondering where the hell he was. What was the point in taking it to a bunch of guys who shouldn't even be in the NFL to begin with given the way they played? Now had the bills actually not given up already and might have mustered the strength to defend against a fake punt or even to go on down the field and score, it would have been a different story.... Teams like the Patriots stay sharp by keeping their foot on the gas. There are far fewer practices nowadays and garbage time equals legitimate practice time.
