They have Min & Stl drafting ahead of Buffalo. What happened? Did NFL.com mess up or are the rules different this year. In other words, an 8-8 team will always draft before a 9-7 team (unless the 8-8 team gets to the Super Bowl). If there are two 9-7 teams, and one makes the playoffs and the other doesn't, the non-playoff team will draft first in the first round. It will rotate after that just like any of the other tiebreakers (e.g., strength of schedule). NFL says Bills pick is below playoff teams, CBS says playoff teams are below Bills' pick. 192067[/snapback] No, the CBS list simply omits the playoff teams, and explains the ommission as: The Super Bowl winner automatically picks 32nd while the Super Bowl loser picks 31st regardless of regular season record. All other playoff teams are placed in the selection order based on their regular season record upon losing their playoff game. If a playoff team and a non-playoff team are tied based on regular season record, the non-playoff team will pick first. It could be 8+ hours before the Bills get their first pick. 192292[/snapback] There's an upper limit: Bills first pick is #52 barring trades. so, 32 first round picks X max of 15 min per selection = 480 minutes. 19 2nd rnd picks before Buffalo X max of 10 minutes per selection = 190 minutes. (480 + 190) / 60 = 11.16 hours. In 2001 the 1st round is about 4 and a half hours and the 2nd, about 3 hours, so six or so hours might do it. Loooooong wait!
