Beastly Dareus Posted April 5, 2012 Share Posted April 5, 2012 In response to the Maurice Claiborne wonderlic score being released, Goodell released a statement today: "As we near our annual college player draft, please be reminded that certain information obtained during preparations for the Draft, including personal and family details, results of drug tests, scores on the Wonderlic test, and the like, are strictly confidential for club use only and are not to be disseminated publicly under any circumstances" Looks like, if teams release this information to be publicized it can result in penalties: "You should be reminded that disclosure of inappropriate private or confidential information concerning draft-eligible players is conduct detrimental to the league and will be met with significant discipline when a violation can be established." Goodell also goes on to say: "Bear in mind that the publicly-disclosed information is frequently inaccurate, incomplete or misleading, and often results from an effort of an individual to advance a self-interested goal." So according to the league, most wonderlic scores released are false and done with one's own self interest. Looks like you can't believe everything you read. Claiborne's score might not be a 4; it might be worse or it could be higher. The original report of Claiborne's wonderlic scores came form Pro Football Talk anyways. The same people that kept reporting that their sources told them "Mario left Buffalo on the first night," and "Mario was going to visit other teams before making a decision."
