Approval of the loan came two days before Vice President Joe Biden appeared via satellite at a Solyndra groundbreaking Sept. 4, 2009, emails released by the committee indicate. "It's the same day unemployment numbers come out and we'd want to use this as an example where the Recovery Act is helping create new high tech jobs," states one email written about a week before the deal was approved.
