California has a ton of money, and can easily afford to put illegal aliens through college. Now, if the state was massively in debt and about to go bankrupt, that might be different. But we're not. We're flush. In all seriousness, Tom is right. They ruled correctly. It's the law itself that is a mess, and I suspect this will find its way to the Supreme Court in short order.
