Bills still interested in Jared Gaither

Recommended Posts

It did not say a whole lot, but billsdaily.com is reporting the Bills STILL have interest in ravens OT Jared Gaither.

LINK: http://billsdaily.com/

the part is under the picture of CJ Spiller holding his jersey

This would make some sense on why we did not address the Tackle spot in the earlier part of the draft-

It says: "In other news, the Bills reportedly showed interest in Ravens OT Jared Gaither."

This is not new news my friend!!

Agreed, this isn't news. This is the same report that was circulated pre-draft. The possibility of trading Gaither was supposedly used as a way of motivating him to get into camp for workouts.

I would love it if we could acquire him and sign him to an extension. This would allow us to develop some depth in our line.

Is is at all possible to trade Marshawn Lynch to Baltimore for Jared Gaither straight up?

In theory, yes, but they've already got two good backs. I was hoping they would've done something during the draft, both with Lynch and with Gaither. Oh, well.

No.

Baltimore is not trading their franchise LT for a guy who AT BEST would be a Number 2 RB, but might be the 4th best RB on the team.

no offense but gaither is not their franchise LT-its micheal oher (blind side ha ha)

Gaither would have to move to RT or ride pine. And he is in the last year of his contract, and he wants a long term deal

so if your the ravens, you either trade him, or LOSE HIM TO FREE AGENCY AT END OF YEAR-

"Reports circulated out of Baltimore that the team's interest in trading Gaither was more a ploy to get Gaither to report to the team's voluntary off-season workouts, but speculation still exists that Gaither could be on the trading block. Set to make $2.5 million in 2010, Gaither is seeking a long-term extension, and if Baltimore doesn't move him now, he's likely to leave as an unrestricted free agent after next season. Baltimore plans on starting Michael Oher at left tackle, and Gaither could be forced to move to the right side or ride the pine if that move happens with Gaither still on the roster"

In the English Language there is a thing called PAST TENSE and PRESENT TENSE...

words like: "sniffed" and "showed" are PAST TENSE words. Meaning the Bills in the past maybe 3-5 weeks ago contacted Baltimore regarding Gaither. But if you read all the reports and stories Baltimore put Gaither on the trading block as a ploy to get Gaither to go to off-season workouts.

Please stop posting stories from the past that we have all heard already, just because Buffalo Rumblings and Bills Digest and other Buffalo media sports outlets are about 2 weeks late picking up the story it doesn't mean its news.

In conclusion.. Nowhere in those articles does it say the Bills are still interested so change your title of the thread. All it says is the bills "showed" and "sniffed" at trading for Gaither in the past

In the English language, nowhere is one word, if you're going to be a stickler for the English language.

Im not being a stickler, Im just saying its obvious the articles where saying the Bills where interested in the PAST and that nowhere in the article does it say they are still interested. Theres a difference between hammering someone for a typo and hammering someone for misleading and not knowing the verb tense something is written in.

Incorrect.... OBD doesn't approve every article especially opinion articles or analysis articles
