Billboard This!: FIRE JEFF LITTMAN

Think about it, the Bills start to decline in '93 after his little spat with Bill Polian and Bill resigns/is fired. John Butler tries to do his best but can't put up with it anymore and leaves after the 2000 season. Just reading around articles on the Web, you can tell this guy is a cheap skate (articles about the condition of the Ralph) and judging by the website he has a lot of power being listed 2nd after Ralph on the FO page.

Um you know he is his son in law right? the only way Litman goes is when Ralph dies.

Jeff Littman acts on the owner's behalf. He is doing exactly what the owner wants done. Littman has a prominent position in the organization because that is what the owner wants. In essence he is the guardian of the owner's vault.

That's the first rant against Littman I've heard in awhile.

Wilson is insulated from the world by such a large group of lackeys, one can sometimes forget how many there are.

Littman, Overdorf, Brandon, Guy, Modrak, etc. would any of these sheep be able to get another job in the NFL if the Bills let them go?

Certainly Jauron and his staff weren't the only ones to blame for this past decade of failure.

Guy and Modrak would get jobs. Doubt the others would.

This is true

Littman is not in the Bills organization.

he is basically the chief financial officer for ALL of Ralph's holdings.

and has done a damn fine job of protecting Ralph's money.

It seems that none of the Bills top front office people have ever bothered to develop a good relationship with him to convince him that hiring better coaches and executives would generate a bigger return than spending the same amount on players/.

Tried and failed. Not possible.

Ralph Wilson...hall-of-fame owner

And he absolutely deserves to be in the Hall. Without guys like Ralph, there would be no NFL. Just because he's done a bad job this decade doesn't take away from that fact. It's also a fact that without Ralph there would be no Buffalo Bills.

The guy might be old, senile and cheap, but he's loyal, and without Ralph the Bills wouldn't even exist.

So when he dies, you'll have a lot more to complain about if the team leaves. But then again I'm sure there will be plenty of message boards for your complaints in whatever city the team moves to.

Littman has been Ralph's treasurer for more than two decades and he's not going anywhere. It's interesting this thread popped up when it did in that guys like Cowher probably want to know how much the team will spend to have a winner.

I've heard now from two GM's, Levy and Nix, that you've got to sign your own guys. That hasn't happened, and I wouldn't doubt Littman and Overdorf are controlling the purse strings. Surely they won't argue with cutting payroll.
