bills_fan_in_raleigh Posted January 1, 2010 Share Posted January 1, 2010 Personally I think Frank Reich would be a better QB coach than Jimbo. Jimbo was a good QB but dont see him as the teacher. Kelly in addition to saying repeatedly he has no interest in coaching he just might not be the coaching type. I think that the qualities that make you a great player are ones that can make you a bad coach. Great players usually (Its a generalization I don't know if Kelly is like this but a lot of great players are) have big egos, low patience, and a low tolerance for failure. Yet as a coach you need to put your ego aside a bit, have tons of patience, and not get frustrated easily by failure. Thats usually why great players rarely get involved in coaching.
