One Week from Today the clock can officially start ticking.

Looks more and more like Lurie and Banner knew what they were doing all along.

Prior to McNabb, Lurie and Banner were on the short list for tar and feathers. Find the QB to run the show, everything else falls into line.

Once again, to prove I'm right on this:

Look at what happened to the supposedly impenetrable Colts OL last night when Manning goes out and Painter comes in.

OL doesn't solve anything. Game changing QBs do.

Our season will be done, new Monday of the work week....Time to clean house at OBD and get someone in here ASAP to sort this mess out.

Don't look for major changes (signings) until at least after the SB. Maybe a couple of releases or firings, but not much more until after the dust settles.

Our problem has been morons picking the QB's. We have picked nothing but guys that would be nothing but other teams backups to be our starter. Funny what happens when a guy like say...Bill Polian is picking the QB.

That's what I would like to see, blow the whole damn thing up. However, the fact that the Bills are reaching out to Weis indicates that the front office will remain intact. CW as our new head coach with the same "inner circle" is not the answer to a decade of futility. Ralph must deliver more than that.

boy you are right...that is a very bad sign...if they don't make those changes at obd you know without any shadow of a doubt that ralph is no longer mentally competent. i already think he isn't, but this would prove it.

Well take a look at some of the QBs to precede McNabb:

Detmer (Ty and Koy)

Bobby Hoying

Rodney Peete

Mark Rypien

Really? And that's just for a few years before McNabb was drafted (and Booed) by Philadelphia. So yeah, even "geniuses" screw that position up, but it does illustrate when it's finally gotten right, a team gets MUCH better in a hurry.

WE NEED A QB. I don't care who it is, we need a competent QB and this team will be a 9+ game winner.

Yeah, cause Polian and the Colts have benn know to have so many Pro Bowl QB's sitting behind Manning.................

We need a QB and a O line... it doesnt need to be either/or.

The clock should have started ticking 5 weeks ago. We have missed an opportunity to get a jump on the competition and give a respectable GM a few weeks to sit back and evalute the entire organization. Why did we fire Jauron and sit idle.. did the Bills brass really think Perry Fewell was a legitimate option. Get real!

The only way this is forgiveable is if we have a deal in place and a huge annoucement is imminent. Which may be the case judging from of the comments coming from Thurman Thomas and others that might have insider insight.

Only 1 team has done this so far, and that Washington hiring Allen, Holmgren has said he will not start working and take the position until the day after the browns last game.

And what does it matter? Its not like he can start signing Free Agents or make trades right now anyways. And if someone is interested and wanted to get to work early, they can watch TV and check players stats out now like all of the fans here do while dreaming that they think they can be an NFL GM.

Maybe the guys they are interested in are still a part of a team that is playing right now? They can't talk to those guys until the season is ovwer anyways. A couple extra weeks aren't going to matter at this point cause besides watching some practices, and some games from a luxury box, they can't do much else as far as personel moves

Severe case of QB myopia. You should go preach this to Bill Parcells, by the way.
