We have the second least amount of recieving T.D.s in football the last two years.Who was our starting qb the last two years? They just said that on espn.
-
Trent Edwards? The guy with the 11th highest yards per attempt last year? The guy who had a yards per attempt higher than Peyton Manning, Matt Cassel, Ben Roethlisberger, Donovan McNabb, Eli Manning, and Brett Favre?
Oh, okay. Just checking.
Could you show me were you got your facts.

Thats the only way he is going to be happy with Edwards as a starting qb.I wonder if he will cry for Edwards when they start blaming Edward for our season.Edwards has no more excuses for the way he is playing. This is his third year as a starter and one of the better starting recieving tandems in football.maybe the bills should trade lynch and make TO a running back -
oh don't worry TO or evans will be wide open down the field, but trent won't see them with the entire defense in his face because of our lack of an offensive line
He could have all day and still throw to the runningbacks. He is afraid to throw down field. We could have Jerry Rice in his prime and Edwards would still throw to checkdown.
-
We got a young QB with no confendence. What he going to do when Owens complains about all the balls being throwing every time to the runningbacks. If I was Tomlinson,I would want to play for the Bills, because our qb likes to throw to rbs more than receivers.I think we should look at our backup QB, because he could get the ball to the recievers better than Edwards.
-
How about taking a chance on Jamelle Cornley, basketball player from Penn State. He is 6'4" 250 pounds and is strong and fast. Bench 370 lbs. Maybe he could be our TE. He said he might try football since he is too small to play power forward in basketball. We have nothing to loose by giving him a chance at Te. He played football in high school.

I don't think he played any worse than our other QB. How many points did we have the first half last week? And Edwards played all year. Losman didn't play good, but Peters didn't play good either also Lynch looked bad today, didn't really help the passing game. What about Jackson, didn't see him all day.How come when Edwards doesn't have a run game he gets a pass on his performance but when Lynch has a bad game when Losman starts , Its Losmans fault. How many drop passes today? Yes Losman didn't have a good game but who did on offense? Name one player who had a good game on offense? Why don't we try to get Boldon from the Cardinals in the off season to play as our number one reciever and then move Reed to slot, then you will see better qb play . We don't have any big receivers to make big plays . All our recievers are small for what kind of offense we run. You need big receivers who can break tackles. Look at all the good Qbs in the NFL, they have good T.E. and big receivers. Especially the kind of offense we run.JP sniffers will be blaming the perfect conditions in the dome for his errant long bombs...Its just a fact..JP cant play in good weather conditions..... -
He would've throw a int too. How many points did we have in the first half last week againts weaker defense?he gives us a chance.he might have made that 4th and 2 pass last week, getting us a win.
he might have not turned it over in the red zone.
he may well have been enough to get us 2 more wins, 8-5 instead of 6-7.
that would put us right up there.

Put win and lost record of the teams that Edwards started againts last year and the same for Losman and you'll see why the offense looked better. If Losman played againts the teams that Edwards started againts last year, Losman would've been starting this year. I don't think Edwards could've beating Jacksonville with A-train starting at runningback. He would play the same way as he played this year without a running game.I might be giving him credit, but I'm not crowning him yet either, as I said before, he is really young, but in my opinion, has shown quite a bit of poise, and future upside, whether or not JP was afforded the advantage of a better line or backs,
is a mute point, and may not have been fair, but it is what it is, besides like I said before, and I am going back to last year, even as far as preseason, when both were playing regularly, to me, there has been a marked improvement in the overall efficiency of our offense when Trent is directing it.

Big Bens rookie year they had a great defense, plus a good running game, putting lest pressure on big Ben. I think Ryan is doing good because they mix the run and pass well together. Also Flacco gets alot help with a great defense. Know, do we have a great defense? What about our running game? O' thats right when your running back runs good, you stop running. Great game planning.I see all the edwards supporters are still using the "trent is great because jp sucks" argument. if you want to see how young qb's are supposed to play, check out Ryan and Flacco, as well as big ben's rookie year -
We would've seen the same results. Our coaches don"t allow our qbs to thow down field and take chances. They qbs are scared to make mistakes. Look at Romo, the guy will throw 5 int. againts us and is was still chucking them down field.Thats why they win when he is in there. Same with Farve, they take chances. I see that in Rogers. They succeed because they're not afraid to make mistakes. I think players rather play with QBs like that.JP is terrible. We should have tried Hamden against the lowly niners. -
And if your backup QB doesn't look comfortable in the pocket, why not do rollouts when your passing, but I do agree they should've run the ball more in the fourth qrt.Keep defense guesting.38 passes, 25 rushes...at 5.3 yards a carry. But the Niners ranked about 28th in the league in pass defense, and about 15th in run defense...so clearly, passing was the way to go. Never mind that your starting running back is gaining 8.4 yards per carry.

What everybody complains about Losman is that he isn't good with the short passes. Yet today he didn't throw one deep pass. He completed 64% of his passes. Why don't they try to use his strengh and mix that with Lynch running the ball. How much did we run the ball in the fourt qtr.? People complain about a lack of running game with Edwards and when our running game looks good we go away from it. How does that help the qb?J.P. Losman has no clue what to do in an NFL pocket. He'll be lucky to get a third string job next year. For all of those who still think this guy should be our QB you are delusional. You can't play in the NFL with such a gross lack of pocket awareness. -
This offense is made for short passes, thats why edwards starts. You know dink@donk offense. Its funny people B word that Losman can only throw the deep pass and what do they call but short passes. Also Lynch was running good and they go away from that. Why don't they go with the QB strengh and mix that with Lynch running in the fourth qtr.Because Trent Edwards had a groin injury nobody saw happen. The bigger question is, why was Losman still the back up on this team? He did a real nice job with the Bills' usual ZERO time outs and 1:50 left from his own 20 yard line, down by 7 points in a must win game didn't he? That drive was awesome: 4 plays for minus 5 yards. It's such a comfort to know he is on the bench ready to play like that if Edwards fakes (oops, I mean) Edwards gets injuries during the game. -
If Jeff Fisher was here,Lynch and Jackson would be the best pair of backs in football and Edwards would be a better QB. Fisher would put less pressure on him being a second year QB.I agree with you 100%. You try and tell me Jeff Fisher, Mike Smith, Tony Sparano, Mike Tomlin or Tony Dungy wouldn't have this team at 9-3 right now with the schedule we had this year and I will laugh in your face. -
The anouncers said that the recievers weren't getting open,Plus most of the throws were short passes. Why didn't they throw some deep passes."Losman strengh".I thought he threw some nice short passes.Like the throw to the TE and to the FB that he dropped.Yes he did throw some high passes Instead of Jackson with third and two ,they should've handed the ball to Lynch the way he was running.but we did move the ball better with him the second half then we did the first.I expect a man who is paid good money to do what it takes to be ready when called upon. When he had time to prepare, he failed to deliver. His role may have changed, but he is expected to do something other than throw the ball away on a 4th and 2 with the game on the line.I don't understand how anyone can be satisfied with this organization, or accept the lack of improvement.

He completed 70% of his passes in that game. Thats with recievers who are 6' and shorter. Plus no pass blocking and no running game. O wait a minute, that only happens to Edwards. He is the only QB that doesn't get pass protection and no running game. 70% just on long passes thats pretty good, since he can't hit the short passes must be all long passes.Who cares?!? His time in relief in Arizona proved to me that he isn't a good starting QB. He proved he can do one of two things. He either 1) hangs on to the ball too long, locks on a receiver, scrambles, and gets tackled/sacked, or 2) hangs on the to ball too long, locks on a receiver, scrambles, throws an ill-aimed bomb into double coverage that's lucky not to get picked off. He'd be good if he had an offensive line of 6' 6" 350 lb blockers that ran a 4.3 40, and three receivers that were 7'4" and taller that could go get a jump ball, or receivers that ran a sub-4.0 40 that could get behind the defense. His only skill is throwing a bomb. He just doesn't have it upstairs to stay in the pocket, go through the reads and take what the defense gives him.Sorry, but JP is not the answer, even as a backup, for the Bills. Thanks for the memories JP, but good luck to you with your next team.
Thanks too to Tom Donnahoo for giving up the picks to reach for him and McCargo (#26 overall 2006 NFL draft), who IMHO, only looked good in college because Mario Williams (#1 overall 2006 NFL draft) got double teamed all the time. I mean c'mon, if he's gonna give up the picks to get back into the first round, why not take Nick Mangold (Jets - #29 overall) or Joseph Addai (Colts - #30 overall). Gee, thanks Tom...
I just hope that whatever team JP goes to, we get to play. It'll be nice to see him get picked off or laying at the bottom of a pile of Bills!!!

Klye never threw more than 13 t.d.s in a year.I'm not saying that Losman is Steve Young, what I'm saying is you look at Steve Youngs first couple years in the leaque, even after playing in the USFL.He was putting up some bad numbers and they were not winning alot of games.Went to S.F.49ers sat behind Montana and develope into a great QB.Put Losman into a team with better talent and coaching, maybe better QB.Also Boller never had aQB rating of 80 and only completed over 60% one time"rookie year".Got worse every year.I know you don't like Losman but from his first year as a starter to his second year as a starter he got better in every part of his game"com.pct.,yrds, t.d.s,lower int.sacks went down, fumbles and most importent wins 5 to 7."So I don't know about you ,but that means he was showing improvement.he has played 9 games since.Who knows if he could've worked out his problems if he could've played all year.Like Edwards after 4 bad games, they stuck by him and let him work through the bad games.Maybe because it was the Chiefs they figured it would be a good game to get him out of his funk.Kyle Boller had all the skills in the world. Nothing is dumber than comparing player X to player Y. And at this point, Losman is a lot closer to Boller than one of the all time great QBs. -
He is a Stanford grad,he should be able to.I bet Edwards could type a sentence better than that though. -
Just like Edwards, holding on to the ball to long, doesn't read defense, throws picks and gets sacked.except againt Chiefs"youngest team in football,17 rookies",maybe its' the way they're coached.JP isn't good. No matter where he goes he's gonna hold on to the ball too long, fail to read defenses, throw picks and get sacked. With that being said I hope he goes to the jets if Favre retires -
Look at Steve Young,When he was at Tampa Bay and then when he went to the 49ers with better talent and coaches, who develope him to very good QB.Just think if he stayed at Tampa Bay,He would've been considered a bust.He also played in the USFL before he went to Tampa Bay.But with a better supporting cast and coaching made a differance.Don't be surprised if he should land on a really good team that wants to develop him more. He is not as bad as most of you make him out to be.Given the right situation he could be really good down the road,or really bad depending on where he lands.Just my take -
Maybe if Edwards was here those years that Losman started he would have the same results because Mularky would've bench him after two bad games in a row ,he wouldn't let him have four bad games in a row.Just think how his confendence would've been every time he had to worry about being benched after bad games.Plus our overall talent is better know.We been rebuilding for years.11-810-21
What else would ya like to discuss?

Kerry Collins said the same thing on espn radio. What kept him going was the fact that he thought he could still be a starter in the leaque.Just think if Vince Young was still starting, would they still be 10 and one.Maybe because they have a great defense and good coach. Its funny how when your loosing its always QB fault. He not good enough but with a tougher schedule Losman didn't have that bad of stats in 2006 and he wasn't allowed to change the play at the line.Achie Manning never was on a winning team, was he a bad QB?I think if Losman went to a team that works with his Strength instead of making him a dink and donk passer,I think he could start.Like I said before the Bears change they're offense to Orton strength and look a differant qb and Thigpen in K.C. they run the same offense he had in college, differant qb,Vikings wish they still have him. That why Edwards looks better in our offense, because he is a dinker. But the only good game he had lately was againts a bunch of rookies in K.C."youngest team in the NFL" but I'm happy with the win.Do you think Farve would've had a great career if they would've change the way he played the game?I don't know that he is even a good #2. When a guy says he has a hard time getting up for games, despite being paid as a professional athelese, I have my doubts. Don't get me wrong, I think he is talented, but he just doen't process game info like he should.... -
Yea, if he keeps going the way he is ,he'll have 20 int. and they'll still consider him better than Losman. Some reason they see Losman faults, but don't see Edwards. For Losman:Potential? The 2006 season. 62.5% completion rate, 3,051 yards, 19 TD's vs. 14 INT's
4th Quarter comebacks? Houston (Pass to Price w/ 15 seconds left), Jax (Aided by Parrish's catch) in 2006
Losman has a problem with fumbles at times, yes. The "deer in the headlights" look at times, yes. Does Trent offer us a better chance to win? I say no. Has Trent shown us anything different than JP? No. Well, yes if you count the ability to throw meaningless 2 yard passes. Trent has 10 INT's on the season vs. 8 TD's, 7 of those INT's being in the last 3 games. He's lost 4 fumbles. He's completing 66.5%, yes, but half of the completions are check downs to RB's. Marshawn and Fred can't do it all. Neither can our line keep holding defenders off for 5 seconds so Trent can throw that check down. Like I said, I'm not an avid Losman supporter, but you guys keep throwing him under the bus in favor of TrINT Edwards.
I ALMOST wish JP was here for this
