You didn't learn anything about their work ethic from a bunch of interviews after they were first drafted.   Obviously.  You just "feel" like you did.

And you didn’t learn anything from the college numbers prior to playing a snap of pro football. We would all love draft picks to have great college numbers and we’d all love them to interview well, be intelligent, well spoken and likeable.

In the end, Coleman will decide how good he’ll become, not prior collegiate success or a bunch of interviews after being drafted.

It really doesn't tell you anything.   That's the point.  Actions speak louder than words.

Coleman's actions show a player who doesn't separate at the college level and has shown little nuance/refinement to his game.   Which is why his numbers are so modest at the NCAA level.   He's really raw and it's not like he has 4.3 speed to fall back on if he doesn't refine his game or the Bills don't make it an emphasis to FIND ways to get him open at the expense of giving those opportunities to other, less talented players who also need that to succeed.

Again,  case-in-point Kaiir Elam.   He came off as a highly studious, focused, hard working kid with a great attitude.   And his physical traits and pedigree were less in question than Coleman's are.   Hasn't worked out so far.  Hopefully it will this season......but coming off like a "great kid" at introduction means nothing.   Stephon Gilmore came off quite differently to Bills fans and has had a pretty brilliant career.

Sure, and Elam’s metrics all pointed to success, yet nope lol. Like I said none of it guarantees anything, you can choose to solely focus on the numbers, and you would have been wrong about Elam just as you may be wrong about Coleman.

Nobody is solely focusing on Coleman’s personality as the reason for his future success and if they do, they may also be wrong, but I’d rather my rookies have Coleman and Elam’s personality and work ethic because it increases their odds of success.

Chill man, I was just saying it's an insensitive topic to some ppl...especially if you've had any family/friends deal with a similar experience.

Like someone joking about cancer, why even bring that material in?

Plenty of other good material to roast Brady and others on, just didn't think it was necessary or smart to even include AH.

Like I said, rest of the roast was solid.  Ppl can have different opinions on what is "off limits" in a roast.  It was "Roast of Tom Brady", I didn't understand the rationale of including AH to begin with.  Moving on, I'm not upset about it, seems like many others on social media/family are though

There’s plenty of topics that are sensitive that many deal with, it’s comedy and it’s a roast where you’re guaranteed there’s nothing off limit, you’re entitled to have your opinion on what’s “off limit” of course but self deletion isn’t really topic seen as controversial.

I would stay away from roasts and lean more towards family friendly material like sitcoms, all comedy isn’t for all people, just make more suitable viewing decisions for your tolerance level.

I wasn’t offended. I’m not one to be easily offended, but I thought NFL teams were supposed to be brotherhoods. Anytime I’ve seen groups of guys work together they become close knit, no matter how much they like each other. There’s certain things you’d think are off limits once part of that brotherhood. I’m not expecting them to condone AH’s actions, but the Pats organization had no issue when he helped them win games. They knew exactly who he was, and didn’t care. Now they make jokes about him. I’m not defending the memory of AH, rather questioning the character of that organization.

I don’t think they knew he was running around shooting people and murdering others lol, I understand the hatred for the Patriots organization but it’s a major stretch to suggest they were complicit with murder and now have the audacity to make fun at his expense.

  4. Enough crying about the AH jokes.. it’s a roast wtf, the dude was a POS who ended lives and ruined many others including his own child.

To the people complaining about it, don’t watch roasts, they’re no topics off limits and certainly not AH and him doing the world a favour and self deleting.

Actually the point is that a prospect being likable and saying the right things at their introduction tells you nothing about how he will perform.

Correct, but it can tell you something about the necessary attitude needed to be coached, work hard and to learn how to become the best player possible.

Much like all the analytics you’re using as a guide to his odds of success, it’s all part of an equation but Keon will ultimately decide how it plays out and because of his demeanour and attitude I like his chances.

    No guarantees of course.

Lol people here really acting like Coverage Sack Rousseau is anything other than a JAG run defender. No chance I’m paying him $20M to stuff the run and get 3-4 clean up sacks per year. You can find a cheap vet FA ala Shaq Lawson to do his job and won’t make a difference in the team’s record.

if my choice was to pay Rousseau or Spencer Brown $15M per season, I would choose to tell them both to kick rocks and find their replacements in the draft or free agency. Not paying JAGs to big extensions, only difference makers

I’m paying Brown 15M per right now, if he just duplicates last season, and there’s no reason he doesn’t take another jump, then he’s getting well north of 15M

a young gigantic athletic RT who continues to improve, he’s turning into exactly what you hoped for when drafting him.

I'll keep repeating this point until it sinks in - The Chiefs offense was shut out in the 2nd half of the AFCCG and the 1st half of the Super Bowl. This is not something for the Bills to aspire to. We don't have the defensive coaching or personnel to turn that kind of offensive production into a Super Bowl win.

Yeah there defense has been a major reason for their success, of course with Mahomes Kelce and Reid, this goes mostly unspoken.

  8. Mike North was on with Matt Parrino a couple days ago and left no doubt that the NFL and the streaming outlets and carriers are full steam ahead with the Bills as must see TV.

Look for the Bills to once again to be one of the teams with the fewest 1pm games in the league.

    Tua had 4624 passing yards 29 TD’s

You can’t be serious lol.. they’ve explored replacing him every off-season and still haven’t extended him. It’s almost like management knows what most of us know, he’s clearly not good enough to compete with the elite QBs in the AFC.

    nice early season stats though.

Miami also got TWO WR’s in this years draft and now OBJ I guess they need more help at the WR position then we did !?!

They needed a QB but where they were picking it wasn’t gonna happen lol

  11. A talented massive 25yr old with maturity issues, maybe having a CFL team add his name to their negotiating list was exactly the type of writing on the wall he needed.

If I’m simply looking at the best case scenario here, I’m super excited about the possibility of two 6’4 giants on the outside with Coleman and Claypool and Kincaid,Shakir and Samual on the inside.

The odds are stacked against the dude, but man if he takes advantage of this opportunity, understanding Josh Allen is his greatest chance at redemption then this could be very appealing.

The expectation for the Bills should be a championship, but the realistic expectation is a division championship and a second-round exit, as it has been in previous years. I believe it is more likely that Josh Allen will force a trade after 2025 instead of accepting a contract extension here. Even though he claims to love Buffalo, his ultimate goal is to win a championship. There is a reason why Allen did not take the full restructure, so that too much money wasn't pushed to the future, and he could potentially leave before his contract is up.

I agree that is a possibility if he feels management continues to fall short, it’s not happening after this season.

My expectations are win the Super Bowl. I don’t hear the “transition” nonsense. Beane and McD don’t get a transition year after multiple years of falling short. Josh Allen is our QB. Hopefully you got him enough offensively to make a deep playoff run or it’s on Beane and McD. 7 years with the most talented QB in NFL history is long enough. Every year is Super Bowl or bust

Yeah I’m not giving them a pass this year because the GM threw out “transition” in an interview. I fully expect a 5th straight division title a home playoff win and to compete after that.

  14. What is this diet nonsense, I could understand if he was some slow fat slob but he’s 6’5 250lbs and the most physically dominating QB in the league, one of the greatest athletes on earth.

Because he doesn’t have a 6 pack like Cam and admits to eating like a factory worker this somehow is an issue.

    Lame.

I think that the majority of the negativity is from the posters on this board. We spent A LOT of time "scouting" WRs since the season ended. We came to a consensus that if Odunze and Thomas Jr. were not possibilities, then it had to be Mitchell. So, when the Bills went in another direction we had all decided that this was a mistake weeks before the draft. The reaction is predictable. The last time we "scouted" this hard was in 2018; the reaction was even stronger.

This is exactly correct, hopefully we see the same 2018 results, I have a good feeling

  16. Nobody is playing long ball as a philosophy, NFL defenses have decided to play shell coverage and not allow anything over the top as their philosophy.

That’s not to say the occasional player doesn’t sneak one by, but your offense has to generate yardage from sideline to sideline in the medium to short range areas, exactly where a player like Coleman is going to eat imho.
