This is great, as a season ticket holder I had a blast at the Dallas game, sad ending though. But great atmosphere. Pure Adreneline.

Mock Draft with a twist
lets_go_bills replied to ChevyVanMiller's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I've been an advocate of the trade down with Minny for a while now. It just makes so much sense. They can grab Harvey, we get our WR plus an extra third. -
I know he's not well liked but his mock was free to view. He says if the Bills can't trade back a few spots they will reach for Thomas. He also says we may go CB, with McKelvin or Jenkins. And finally he says maybe DE Harvey. But right now his pick is Thomas.

Justifying drafting James Hardy
lets_go_bills replied to lets_go_bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No way. He put up insane numbers against everybody as a redshirt freshman. If he has a repeat season he'll go number one overall. 6'3", 208lbs, 4.4 speed. But we're getting off topic. -
Justifying drafting James Hardy

Thank you. You read my post and gave the EXACT reply I was hoping for. Like I said, from a positional standpoint. Thanks again, I whole-heartedly agree with you. -
I'm going out on a limb here, but I would assume you're all for us taking the TE Rucker?

Justifying drafting James Hardy
lets_go_bills replied to lets_go_bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This year's WRs are a total toss-up. None of them have separated themselves from the rest, there is no front runner IMO. None of these guys seem like legit number ones. Next year will be a whole different story, Michael Crabtree anyone? That's irrelevant though. -
Let me start off by saying that I am NOT "for" picking this guy, I'm simply generating a friendly debate here. So, give me a moment here folks, and allow me to play "Devil's Advocate" here, ok? I know he had those "character concerns": Allegedly hitting his wife/child two years ago, and arguing with his coach, resulting in a suspension. But I ultimately feel like, character concerns aside, that he fits the bill of what we need from the WR position. I'm talking strictly from a football stand-point here. At 6'6" he's as big as WRs come. 36 TDs in 32 games? Isn't that EXACTLY the kind of redzone production we need? Imagine the avaerage corner, 5'10", trying to out jump a 6'6" former basketball player. Good luck! He's a match-up nightmare, especially in the redzone. The redzone? Hey, isn't the place where we couldn't score and had to settle for FGs all the time? I think it is. Anybody here who's seen Plaxico Burress play can have an idea as to what Hardy would bring to the table. Only Hardy is more athletic. Like I said people, I'm not suggesting we pick this guy, but have an open mind and take a look at this guy from the position of what positives he could bring us.

Jordy Nelson WR Kansas State
lets_go_bills replied to lets_go_bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
True. However, nobody is gonna ask him to catch 100 balls for 1200 yards. He's gonna be asked to use his height to take attention away from Evans, make defences respect our passing game, therefore opening up the running game for Marshawn, and aiding Edwards in his development. WR is one of the hardest positions to learn, but I think catching 8 TDs is a realistic expectation for a big WR should we draft one. There's no way you can tell me that a rookie WR couldn't help us out. He's not gonna be asked to be a star, or even a number one, at least not right away. I can easily see a rookie WR contributing right away netting 40-50 balls for around 500 yards and 6-8 TDs, provided he's a tall one. -
Yeah, he is dynamic, and it would give us the fastest trio of WRs in the NFL. But I would not like this pick. The guy is 169lbs. We need someone with some size who can get physical with corners. We need a possession receiver. Lee is the number one/deep threat/burner, Roscoe is a slot guy with great after-the-catch ability, and Josh is a good number four guy. We need that big guy who can out jump a corner for the ball, who can be a match-up problem in the endzone. From watching the games last year, our problem was not having that big target to convert 3rd downs, and always settling for field goals in the redzone. A big WR and a big pass-catching TE ALWAYS present match-up problems for opposing defenses, especially in the redzone; safeties/corners are too small, linebackers are too slow. Sorry to knock your post, but I feel like Jackson is a Parrish double, only with more hype. He's small, fast, agile, and returns punts.

If we need a receiver and a CB so bad
lets_go_bills replied to ieatcrayonz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Chris Paul will be MVP. Barry Bonds was indicted for lying. They never caught him for anything else. Look, Pacman is a great football player, big-time probowl talent. But trouble seems to follow him everywhere he goes. I mean, throwing cash around at strippers, being sem-involved in shootings. C'mon! The guy has been cited something like 12 times in two years. That is not a coincidence. There are red flags everywhere with this guy. Yeah, you could get him for a fourth round pick, but he's gonna want big money, will come with baggage, probably will keep getting in trouble, has a big posse with him all the time, and will probably go to jail eventually. Too risky. Besides, he hasn't even been re-instated yet. -
Jordy Nelson WR Kansas State

I get what you're saying, but ultimately WR is by far our biggest need. Therefore waiting until round 4 is insanity. Expect the Bills to address the WR position in round one or two. -

Because he's a criminal with a rap sheet as long as a football field. -
This guy's name has popped up a few times recently, so I did some investigating. This guy had a monster season: 122 catches, 1606 receiving yards, and 11 TDs. Wow! This guy put up huge numbers against some decent competition too. The Big 12 is nothing to sneeze at with the likes of Texas and Mizzou among others. I like this guy as a sleeper pick in the draft. He's faster when playing than his 40 time would suggest. I wouldn't mind if we scooped this guy up in round four.

Well, as the draft gets closer and closer opinions change super-frequently, and so as of today I would like to see the Bills do the following on draft day. 1. If Harvey is available at pick 11, trade down with the Vikings at 17 so they can fill their DE need, and we also pick up their third round and seventh round picks. 2. Take Limas Sweed at 17. 3. Send our second and one of our third round picks to Atlanta for their second round pick at 34. 4. Draft Antoine Cason who, according to Mike Mayock, would be the best corner in the draft if he ran faster, and he is perfect for a Cover-2. 5. Take Martellus Bennett in round three, big TE. 6. Take Owen Schmitt round four, this guy is the only FB for me. Such trading/movement is not so common, but this would be a dream scenario for me and our team I believe. Thoughts?

Great Article On Martellus Bennett

I've read that the Bills are interested in the TE Rucker from Mizzou. -

Finally. -
I'm not high on Matt Ryan. I'm very surprised to see Johnathan Stewart ranked above Darren McFadden.

I'm on the relocation list, as are many others I'm sure. As we all know it goes by seniority and this will only be my second year. I'm in Section 332, Row 25. I've been paid in full since we got the bill in early March. I just haven't heard anything despite being told early April. I'm so impatient, I love going to the games so much, I just wanna upgrade NOW! Anybody else heard anything?

DraftTek Is Holding a Mock Draft
lets_go_bills replied to Astrobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would pull the trigger on that deal. We could then take Limas Sweed and pay him less. Great value in round three, so those picks are great, or they could be bundled and we move back into round two's bottom portion. -

Michael Vick back with Falcons
lets_go_bills replied to RLflutie7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It was alos reported that Vick is NOT playing prison football. Vick is going to be in jail for a while still. The Falcons are done with him. They already had the whole legal spat over money. After he lied to Blank and Goodell he's done. He'll be 30 when he's out, and away from football for 3 years. I think Vick will just fade into obscurity.
