Watched one of those Buffalo podcasts yesterday (I think cover1) and someone said that was common in their offense (he was talking about Mitchell) because their plays often went to one side of the field.

Can you please provide more details about what you’ve seen with Worthy taking plays off?

Edit: I urge people concerned about his work ethic to watch Worthy’s recovered fumble play from the video I noted in my above post.

You would literally have to have intimate knowledge on the way they are coached nowadays individually to properly determine if it's true or not that a player is taking downs off because some coaches are coaching them to do it in order to preserve energy for the next down. They know when the ball is not coming to them. And if that's the case it's the easiest thing in the world to fix. You just tell them that's not the way we do it around here and here is why... Then you point to #17... B-)

More from 89, some interesting takes from scouts at the combine.

The question about the 14 min mark... He just nails it. And it's great to hear someone of his caliber admit it... B-)

So far I've only watched Brian Thomas Jr., Adonai Mitchell and Xavier Legette on tape. I hate the fact that Legette looks the best to me out of those 3. Haven't gone in depth yet but he seems to be able to do everything Mitchell and Thomas can do, but far more physical, reminds me of Deebo. Time will tell

I really like Legette... I agree with the Deebo thing more as a projection than anything. As in I think Legette can be that kind of weapon for an NFL Offense given some time in the right system. He's a little stiff...Not the most fluid route runner or anything like that...But he could be a walking talking business decision for DB's as a RAC option... The guy looks like he's going to break a million tackles, but he did not do that much in College. He can definitely fly if you give him space and he seems to have really good hands...I think he only had a couple drops in 2023...

None of these players are a finished product, and that goes for Legette too... But get him in the right system used properly and he could be really, really special. B-)

  4. The Bills have 11 picks now...

So...to me at least...Here's what this trade means.

Trading their 3rd round (comp) pick should get the Bills up to about 23rd overall.

Trading their 4th round pick should get the Bills up to about 26th overall.

Trading both those picks and a little something from next year could get them into the 20th overall range.

I think they are Brian Thomas hunting... We'll see... B-)

  5. 1. Brian Thomas - It will take a decent trade up.

    2. Adonai Mitchell - It will probably take a trade up of a few picks.

    3. Ladd McConkey - I think he'll be there at 28.

    4. Xavier Legette  - I think he's a beast and on the right team he'll be a RAC monster.

    5. Xavier Worthy - 4.21... Josh Allen is our QB.

Ahh, Beane likes traits. I think he wants a big X. Mitchell, Legette, Thomas, and Coleman check that box. To repeat what I wrote earlier, Greg Cosell is one of the most astute football minds. I think he's especially good on WR. He watched the same tape, and came away very impressed with Mitchell. Legette is going to be good, imo.  I'm not one of those who would be super angry if they took McConkey, because he's right at the top of my list for folks I like in this draft. I don't think it would be the right move, but that's because I think we need to prioritize a different kind of receiver. All the same, in truth, if McConkey ends up on the Bills, I'm buying his jersey.

It's funny about Cosell... 2 years ago I was SO high on George Pickens... I wanted the Bills to get him so bad... I knew he would be there in the late 1st... I just loved him as a prospect. So Cosell goes on One Bills Live before that Draft and basically says... "You may be surprised about this, but I think my favorite WR in this class is George Pickens" And I'm like... Genius!... :D

  7. That was one of my favorite Combine moments... Maybe my favorite... And I've seen every televised minute of the Combine since it's been available...

That was super fun... Well done Mr Worthy... B-)

People have to remember that Kupp ran a 4.62 and Nacua ran a 4.57 and Anquan Boldin ran 4.71. Guys can win in the the NFL running in the 4'6's especially ones who are near 6'4.

100% true... But that's also why Boldin went 54 overall, Kupp went 69, and Nacua went 177... B-)

Xavier Legette is the guy if he is there at #28 id take him over Franklin or Ad Mitchell.

He's going to force a ton of business decisions in the secondary... B-)

I noticed that too. Was wondering if that was for Beane to get another peek 🫣

When I heard them talking about RAC in their Combine interviews, Legette immediately came to mind. B-)

I agree entirely. I've already said as much maybe twice in the last thirty minutes, and previously.

McConkey would be a great as a second receiver, if you had that luxury and draft position to make it happen.

We need a big X at #28, and I think at least one of Mitchell, Legette, Thomas,  okay, and maybe Coleman will be there.

Right... But I do think it depends on who takes him and what that Offense does. I really think he's in play for KC at 32... Andy Reed is going to love that kid... I think McVey would make him a 1200 yd a season WR... He's going to get open... A lot...

I'm lukewarm on his film and his metrics were pretty dreadful. I wouldn't describe him as a Combine-only stud by any means, but the speed he showed today did not show up on film at all IMO. He's a downfield threat for sure, but it was more in the same vein as Coleman rather than a Brian Thomas or Xavier Worthy type.

Ya... I'll agree to disagree on that...
