  1. Does Hobert count? I know he technically didn't start but he almost played a full game.
  2. Yeah, those LA guys would be pretty P.O.'ed when they realize there is one game hundreds of miles away and north of the border to boot once a year.
  3. I'm on the fence on this one...on one hand he wants 10 mil a year at least but on the other hand it's only for one or two years. If it doesn't preclude us from making any other moves than I'm all for it. The question however is whether or not Buffalo would be Kurt Warner's ideal destination.
  4. In our defense, since all we could have done so far is sign the players that we already had...we're probably better off looking elsewhere to resolve those issues...
  5. I like the approach so far...they should go for quantity AND quality...they should be in on everyone. We need an influx of talent on this team. Leave no stone unturned.
  6. Who said he was a 2nd string QB?
  7. My hope is that after Ralph made the coaching decision (which Brandon reportedly disagreed with) he turned around to Brandon and said "OK, here are the keys to the car, it's all yours." and he starts working like a man possessed trying to turn this thing around. He could just figure that if they win, great, he succeeded but if they lose he can blame it on Jauron and bring in his own guy. Of course, all this dependent on the fact that he does, in fact, know what he's doing.
  8. Pretty much all no brainer moves there...
  9. I'm thinking the 40 year old J.A. he had running around like an idiot behind him all year may have contributed to his "down year".
  10. I know it sounds like a broken record but talk of a Fred Jackson hold out is premature...he needed to be tendered by the deadline. Why are they going to negotiate with a guy now when they can just wait til the summer? I'd rather them spend all of their effort on new players and the draft then worry about guys like Peters and Jackson at this point in time. Now if we go into training camp without those issues resolved that's a different story but in the meantime...
  11. Jansen and of course the combined production of Bailey/Portis ain't too shabby either...
  12. The six years to free agency clause alone will drive the union to re-negotiate...
  13. That would be the smart play...I'm a little meh on the DE's...especially since you can probably get one if you trade down anyway...it would be nuts to pass on Curry or Raji however (IMHO, of course).
  14. That superimposing thingie they did this year was worth every penny if nothing else but for that Eisen skit...
  15. He doesn't have a choice, unless he wants to sit out...there's a reason an "exclusive" rights contract is called that.
  16. Just out of curiosity, why should he get four games? Brandon Marshall went through a rash of legal problems between'07 and '08 and all he had was a three game suspension reduced to one...I'm not sure exactly why Marshawn "should" get a four game suspension...what am I missing?
  17. Did I miss something??? What are you talking about?
  18. Sign him to a long term deal that makes sense for both sides. I figured since we have seen so many other whacked out scenarios I would start a thread for the most logical one. I'm thinking 6 years, maybe even 5, at least 6 per but probably closer to 7 since that's what Dockery makes.
  19. Cassel couldn't handle that D...Brady can, Cassel, not so much...but of course we are going to have to hear about the Pats swindle some team when some moron GM gives up the farm for an unproven QB like Cassel.
  20. Fred Jackson? Maybe we can get another position into the mix next year.
  21. Wow...almost as much as the Yankees...
  22. He's a Harvard guy too. I think having a Harvard guy at center would be a pretty good asset. Sign me up for this guy too...hopefully Polian will go for a younger guy like Jason Brown or just keep Saturday.
  23. That is an outrageous statement. Even if you are not factoring coaching, both of the lines would have to go ahead of QB...right?
  24. Dual challenges?
  25. But the whole premise of this thread is in regards to signing Cassel to a multi-year multi-million dollar contract. If you are talking about a Kerry Collins that's one thing but this move makes no sense.
