  1. I’m not following? What does that mean?
  2. The trade back option makes sense if they are unable to get up for the guy(s) they love and have several guys rated similarly (maybe Ladd, Franklin, Legette, Worthy?).
  3. To a certain degree I think that’s said to not add pressure to whoever we bring in. Especially if we don’t supplement with a veteran. I still believe they’d love to get an alpha. Whether the opportunity presents itself is impossible for Beane to know with certainty at this point. But I believe he understands the Bills and Josh are better off with a lead receiver than not.
  4. Whether he comes back or not I hope and fully expect Buffalo to come out and support. Micah’s been a great player, but also such a class act in this community. He’s a FA so they didn’t release him. I believe he was undecided if he was going to continue playing. Hopefully if he does it’s back in Buffalo as our D could use his leadership.
  5. It’s possible. I’m not a guru on this stuff but from what I’ve seen and read, route running is not a strength at this point.
  6. I kind of see it differently. For me, Legette although physically different (and superior) is too similar to what we’ve already got. He’d be excellent if used off screens, slants, and crosses. He’s probably best as a big slot. Having only seen half a season with Brady as OC, what we didn’t see was a ton of success downfield. So does that make Legette the perfect fit? Or does that make him redundant, even if he’s explosive? I lean towards wanting the X that attacks downfield, but will Brady utilize a BTJ or Mitchell?
  7. I like the idea of double dipping, but I doubt Bean and McDermott do. That said I want them to get a true X to complement what they already have. Of course MHJ or Odunze are the dream, but would also seem unlikely given the cost. For me that leaves BTJ or Mitchell as the two true X’s that can take the top off the defense. I like others like Ladd, or either Xavier but I don’t think they fill our immediate need. Would be thrilled to get any of them in the 2nd but again doubt we double dip. If Baker is there in the 4th he could be an X, if we go elsewhere earlier. Rice might also grow into that role, but seems like he needs lots of work on his routes (surprisingly given his ability to train with the best ever).
  8. I’d do that if Thomas Jr was still on the board at 20.
  9. Not to mention that McDerrmot rotates lineman. He could definitely make an impact. That said, we really need to address the WR spot, be it an early pick or some sort of veteran move. Given the cap situation I think the draft is the most likely we way to get that done (and we really should give Josh a young wr1).
  10. If you don’t want him what are the chances he has any value? For all we know the plan is to play more man to man this year making him offer more value. If they’re keeping him they see something.
  11. Ok, sorry, didn’t realize. I can pick after him in the morning.
  12. Wasn’t sure what to do, waited over 4 hours.
  13. With the 37th pick of the 2024 NFL entry draft the LA Chargers are proud to select Payton Wilson, LB, NC State. @qwksilver is now on the clock. Although tempted by a couple of Michigan players, Harbough decides to address the D after landing a playmaker in the 1st. Equally adept in coverage and against the run, Wilson should be a 3 down backer from day 1.
  14. I worry a little bit about how slight he is, and playing against stronger more physical corners in the NFL. I see a guy that can run the vertical routes that Gabe ran (without the élite blocking) and maybe a little better at the intermediate routes. I’d like him a lot as a 2nd rounder if we double dip as I think he’ll be a productive #2. I just don’t see him as an elite #1 in the NFL.
  15. He’s definitely a process guy, so could be there man!
  16. Without AD i switched to trade down, hopefully only 5-10 spots to grab one of the next tier of receivers and add ammo to get back into the 3rd.
  17. I like both Mitchell and Legette. I voted AD despite him being the somewhat riskier pick. Yeah he doesn’t come across as a process guy, but he’s the guy available that has the upside to be Josh’s primary receiver the rest of his career. Xavier was really more of a big rocked up underneath receiver who was super effective after the catch. Mitchell is more the guy that can take a top off the defense and create space for Shakir, Kincaid, and Samuel underneath. At the end of the day I’d be happy with either as they both bring a size speed element currently missing. I trust Beane to make the right choice.
  18. With the 5th pick of the 2024 NFL entry draft the LA Chargers are proud to select Malik Nabers, WR, LSU. @BuffaloBillyG is now on the clock. The Chargers were hoping to move back and pick up some draft capital, but the phones weren’t ringing. Although we had our eye on some of 1st round tackles, we couldn’t pass up the explosive playmaker from LSU. We envision Nabers and Herbert being a dynamic duo for years to come.
  19. Chargers are still listening to offers.
  20. The Chargers are willing to listen if anyone is interested in the 5th pick. Only serious offers please.
  21. Chargers, Bears, Vikings please
  22. With the 79th pick in the 2024 NFL draft the Atlanta Falcons are proud to select Dominick Puni, OT, Kansas. @Might Rather is now on the clock. With this selection we look toward developing another future starter on the line. With experience at both LT and RT as well as G, Puni will initially fill the swing tackle role. We see him sliding into a starting role in the next couple of seasons after we’ve had some time to coach him up.
  23. I like the plan, but I doubt Beane double dips. More likely nabs a DT or S in the 2nd. I’d love the big swing for Odunze or Nabers, but the move up for Thomas Jr is probably much more likely. I think his ceiling is as high as anyone’s, he’s just a little less polished. He’s less likely to step in this yea and be a true #1, but he could certainly develop into it.
  24. With the 74th pick in the 2024 NFL a draft the Atlanta Falcons are proud to select Jarrian Jones, CB, Florida State. @Logic is now on the clock. Having addressed the dline and WR in rounds 1 & 2 the Falcons look to improve the secondary. We’re hoping Jones can fit opposite AJ Terrell on the outside, but offers some versatility with the ability to shift inside as a big nickel. We like Jones level of compete, his ability to play the run, and his size speed combination.
