  1. So now China has violated the trade agreement....according to truth social poster trump.

How can anyone see the world through this lens. 145% tariffs, 50% on steel and China violated the trade agreement. Hilarious. Trump is becoming the Henny Youngman of politics.

So now all trumps buddies hit the markets,  make money on the downside and then again when he speaks on the upside. Such maneuvers are so obvious. So sic.

    1. I am not liberal...never have been, but I do know a dangerous fraud when I see one...

So like trump you put anyone who doesn't agree with you in prison, or concentration camps in Libya? Sounds like another time in history.

At least two of those. Good lord.  By what vehicle do you think the Nov 2026 elections would be cancelled? Trumpian decree? This is so embarrassing. You seem like a frightened old man.

Please remember to come back in Nov 26 and 28 and fess up to your ridiculous thoughts. Maybe meet me at the polling station. You can hand out water.

Frightened, no. Maybe you should read the small print in the big beautiful bill.

Nov 26 is on jeopardy. War against NATO  because of Greenland and Canada is real. Trade with Russia is close..

I want to be wrong, but I am not. Watch this trade judicial thing. By next week those judges will be household names, ridiculed , threatened. There is no organization left in government to stop him....no impeachment,  no arrest capability, no judge, no congress, no rule of law.

I’ve heard that the bad orange man is an existential threat to democracy. When does that start? It seems like every branch of government is going full speed ahead. Keep me posted with your delusions if you don’t mind.

And what will it take to open your eyes. Elimination of the federal trade court?

Cancelation of Nov 26 elections, arrest of political foe, trade deal with Russia, annexation if Greenland or Canada? Or will you always be blind?

How does someone your age, ostensibly a man, become so over the top dramatic? Truly embarrassing.

How does a man, presumably, become such a cult member, unable or unwilling to see the obvious direction of this administration..

Will he go that far, try to cancel elections, create emergency powers to maintain or grasp full control. Will he just continue on pissing off the rest of the world and then retreat to play golf.

that justifies destroying democracy?  perhaps we should vote on that.  And we will nov 26 if trump doesn't cancel elections.

Read his big beautiful bill  Nov 26 is done, toast, fini, hosta la Vista, Roger, over and out.

I could try to deflect but you're right.  We've gotten to the point where we've become reliant on the courts to strike down unconstitutional executive orders so why should we expect either side to not test the boundaries.   @Big Blitz post from above proves your point where he unknowingly pushing for more power to the executive branch because it means a victory for his side.

It was my idiotic assumption that maybe the party that traditionally views the role that the federal government should be limited (Republican party).  That goes for little intervention in the free market, a strong national defense, a strong checks and balance system, the promotion of federalism, and protecting the basic liberties and rights of all legal citizens of this country.  I guess the true conservatives have been hijacked by a party where if you speak out against executive overreach when a Republican is in office you're shunned.  It really shouldn't be that way but here we are.

The courts have been asked to step in to the political debate for 2 reasons.

    1. Court appointees have become far far far too political

    2. You have polarized politics like never before.

The only moderation comes from the courts. Political parties no longer govern for the total population.

It is a democracy. The president was elected by the voters winning the required electoral votes and also the popular vote. And unlike other "democracies" no candidate was disqualified like in Romania  nor was any party outlawed like they're looking to do in Germany because the ruling powers were threatened so they resort to restricting the options presented to the voters to retain power. Or punish free speech like the UK.

So our democracy works pretty well. Anyone looking for potential dictatorships should cast their gaze to Europe.

At this point in history you are 100% correct. And I hope you always are.

But, the direction has been strange and concerning.

I just mention, that this point and ruling could be very telling.

There is no way of ignoring the administrations criticism of the judiciary to this point.

At the very least, the administration will have to openly prove the extreme need for emergency measures against the entire world.

The checks and balances that have made the US the envy of the world are about to be tested. Here's hoping they stay in place.

Trump wasn't even close to the first.  You'd be surprised to learn who first started birtherism.

And I have no doubt that Obama claimed to have been born in Kenya on college applications and such.  But was actually born in Hawaii.  Not that I would have cared if he had been born in Kenya because his mother was an American citizen.

The issue is not Obama, nor birtherism, nor fake news, it is the continuing trump lies, from day 1.

If Obama had accepted that jet from Quatar, republicans would have gone ape s@#t bonkers and claimed it as proof he is a traitor and not American. They would demand impeachment. Trump does it and his flock of sheep are silent.

Was Obama even born in the US?  🤣

This was the actual beginning  of fake  news.

It's hard to reconcile that with Trump.  It really is.  The guy is all over the map, but it's hard to argue that he has much in the way of libertarianism going for him.  I'll step away now.

Not all his policies are bad,   it is his threats, his ignorant coments, his constant insults, his narcissistic actions.  Attacking Harvard vs his own rediculous school is a great example.

I detest woke, it is as dangerous as fascism. But woke does not threaten democracy.

    I to will step away.

Ah, ok.  Of course, the pardon is part of the system, too, when properly applied.

As you mentioned kindness and  mind-ness when realcting by the administration into the  justice system for political reason is  not blindness.

Too many times pardons are so political, by both parties

I would not advocate for a pardon for Chauvin.

Still, what you’re suggesting is that the current admin should do the right thing when the prior administration did not. It’s pretty common for people supporting the new admin to suggest “You first”.

No, I am advocating that administrations should not have influence on judicial decisions. Chauvin like others has appeal processes.

I agree the decisions GF made that day were part of the problem, and of all the issues that day, his fentanyl use is the biggest issue I have with the question of what actually killed him.  I also see a tremendous downside to being on the jury and voting to acquit—angry mobs would be a problem.  I can certainly understand a person looking at the video, the prosecution case—and thinking it’s a whole lot easier to convict the guy than deal with the fallout from acquittal.

Whether Chauvin or OJ, the justice system made a decision, to reverse that is like the woke left demanding Columbus Statue be removed for judging him under different times, it is plain wrong. Because weak Biden allowed such nonsense to occur is no reason to continue that type of lunacy.

i guess trump failed to mention that  the golden dome doesn't work without Canada.  Would be helpful if they didn''t hate us.  no so easy to be isolationist...

Frankly, it would give him these two simultaneous actions,

    1. We need Canada as 51 and use more than economic pressure

    2. Emergency actions, emergency powers (if fentanyl is a good excuse then war is better) to postpone 2026 election cycle.

He has purposely been harming friends and NATO economically, and helping dictators. Within a month of today, he will be offering trade deals with Russia to help with cease fire..then you will know his true intentions.
