  1. Is not the  debate simple.

    1. Biden admin and others before him allowed illegal migrants at unimaginable  numbers, to enter the US without following the legal NORMAL requirements. Yes, there are laws for exceptions but it was NEVER contemplated to deal with such huge numbers. It is easy to see why the word invasion could be a term used.

    2. Did citizens in some cities break the spirit if immigration laws by creating sanctuary for people that were outside the legal status. If those numbers were manageable there would not be such a reaction.

    3. Tax payers dollars were spent on illegals, and they were allowed and encouraged to work, outside the law. As a foreigner to the US, I from time to time entered the US for business, was never allowed to actually work  I could attend meetings which involved my business, but could never perform a task. Example, if a person working for my business in Cape Garardeau was to be terminated for cause or no cause, I could not perform that task  and technically couldn't order it. I was legal. So how did millions of other illegals work, get services, even pay taxes. I could never have been allowed. I would have been deported and banned.

    4. So, in correcting many years abuse allowed by many levels of law enforcement, politicians and citizens a few mistakes have been made, many fewer than has been allowed for many years. Obviously there is no effort to fix those mistakes, there should be some quick process to review cases. But for every one mistake, there are thousands of correct decisions.

Those being forced out, hand them the paper work to apply. Our countries need and want the good ones, but not the bad ones.

@Niagara Bill if Trump and Mark “Chillycon” Carney can consciously re-couple on the golden dome middle defense shield, can we maybe be friends again?  I think this is a sign the ice is melting between us/you after all this time apart (it’s really like long Wednesday afternoon when viewed from historical perspective).

    #partnerseh?

Trumps actions do not interfere with friends, politics does.

Without a doubt,  Canada would always agree to such a proposal, because refusal leads quickly to 51st actions. There is nothing about trump Canada trusts, after all as he says he subsidizes us and Hoecstra says we are being mean.

When a gun is pointed at your head..don't argue.

This announcement means nothing, the announcement so far in the future. This is the type of announcement all dictators make. Hope I am wrong but my faith in one statement from trump does not replace all the other actions.

  3. So as of today...Trump accepts bribe of 400,000,000 airplane, socialized with dictators who have no human rights and the US subsidizes them for 100s of billions each year by buying oil and selling nothing to them except crypto  then he wakes up at 2 am, Ludnick whines and trump threatens the EU, with 50% tariffs because they are being unfair by not bowing and bribing him.

    Just another step of isolation.

Oh I forgot, Saudis agreed to sell more camel poop to American farmers for fertilizer. You know it  is the best, does wonders everyone knows, I know about these things.

Any moderate republican will be described as worse than Trump or the next Hitler by the left. It’s the only playbook the left has.

Nothing except the guy you mentioned would be worse.

Trump has made America into a roque nation, an untrustworthy, volatile nation, a nation closer to Russia than once friends.

Fixing the world's financial mess and the US financial mess did not need to be threatening to ex friends  to ex partners to US democracy, to basic rights inside the US border unless the new rule of US oligarchs is the primary direction.

Yeah to fixing the border, yeah for reducing illegal drug availability, yeah for shutting down woke, boo for ingoring courts, for trampling rights, for threatening friends, for insulting half the world, for the tariff wars, for coziness to dictators,  for appointing idiots to head administration, for using Musk for Doge  for not representing all Americans, and for not being truthful.

How would someone so out of step with the current democrat base get nominated?

By having a chance to be elected.

The base as people want to call it, but really mean the extreme, will never never vote for the opposite party, so those base idiots have a choice, elect a moderate and have a chance to win and stop the extreme of the other side, or face the consequences of not being elected, which is presently happening.

20% of trump voters would vote fir a democratic middle of the road candidate.

Someone in the middle either dem or rep must save the country from imploding or exploding.

I think I already who you are off the message board.  Probably a decent enough guy, good father and husband  trying to do the best he can for his family. Caught a couple unlucky breaks, have some stress in your life so instead of kicking dogs, you insult people on message boards while simultaneously claiming to not give a **** about politics.  Off the board, you disagree with people but certainly don't tell people they are trash because of who they voted for.  In political discussions, you likely get emotional but not overly so.  Most people figure out the downside to lobbing juvenile insults when they leave the teen years behind, and when they don't, they end up lonely and alone.

As for growth, it's not about being on here with me or anyone else.  My comment was about your version of you and who you might aspire to become.  I have my own issues I'm working though, trying to get a little bit better as I go along.  Sometimes I'm successful, sometimes I have to power through.

I'm not here to admit anything about Trump, it's not my responsibility to do so.  Thinking back, the non-exhaustive list of issues I've had with Trump, and shared on this board:

    • Didn't like the commentary about POWs, thought it was shallow and a silly thing to say.  I didn't like that comment directed at John McCain the POW, but felt McCain as a politician was completely in play;
    • Didn't like the commentary on Obama wiretapping the Trump campaign--said he should never suggest that of a political rival and that one would have to have proof of wrongdoing.  I thought that was bad for the country--but I was wrong.  Obama/Biden was doing what he was saying.
    • Didn't like the idea of the 1/6 speech.  I had no inclination the 1/6 activities were forthcoming, I simply thought the race was over and he would be better suited to critiquing Biden/Harris while in political exile--given the obvious propensity for Bided to screw things up.
    • I didn't like Trump's entire 'Stop the Steal' campaign--it was time to move on, regroup and start anew.  A big however--though, was it was perfectly understandable and a natural extension of the dem run Russia narrative.  Both were bad for the citizens, but absent the phony Russia narrative, Stop the Steal never happens.  In short--it's the way politics work.
    • I didn't like the depth and breadth of the pardons he issued to 1/6 individuals.  I've explained that .
    • I think accepting the jet from Qatar is a mistake.
    • I was not a fan of the chaotic approach to hiring/firing in his first term.  Just not my style.
    • I think DJT says some silly things, focuses on some silly things, and I'm not always a fan of his posts.
    • He lies, makes things up and says stupid things from time to time.  I don't think that makes him any different than any other person to hold office.

There's more, but I believe I've commented on just about all these issues along the way, and more.  Maybe you're too busy not caring to notice, but feel free to adjust your narrative accordingly, or don't.  I'm good with it either way.

Oh--don't like the Canada as 51st state (and not just because I'd have to listen to @Niagara Bill talking about his time at University or his annual holiday) comments.  Dumb. And tariffs---well, that remains to be seen how that all works out.

Glad you took a position on 51st stuff.

I don't recall talking annual vacation,  but you have a better memory than I do.

Always thought you were right of centers but not too far...nice to see your thoughts in one place. You likely now can expect to be placed on the list, and be watched.

    Always a pleasure Sir.

Why nit have PSA blood tests done quarterly or more  kore often. It is a simple blood test. I have blood test monthly, next is in 3 weeks. Biden can afford it with all the $ he got through Hunter unless Hunter sniffed it all up. I they are positive and then negative ad varying, they can be looked into and determined to be false positives. He has had a history of cancer. He had skin cancer.  It could nave slowly metasticised to his prostate and bone. He should have had a bevy of tests done to be sure it didn't spread.

Good ideas, let's take the new plane  set up medical lab inside and have it fly around US doing PSA tests, kind of like a library book mobile.

You think she had no idea he was in worse shape that was let on? Absolutely laughable assumption.

Never said that, but like I said is it up to her to tell the public about his condition when he does not want to. She has NO obligation to tell anyone. This is her husband.

Eleanor, Nancy etc had no obligation publically.

She would have no more knowledge than Joe Biden. She may have tried to get him not to run, you don't know, then she just supported her husband.

Would you expect Melania to tell the world trump has a serious medical problem. He would just deny and xal, her name.

His stage 4 cancer is terrible for anyone, but not her fault nor her right or obligation to tell the world.

I think the point is she’s the person closest to him and with all the medical issues we’re learning of she could have had him step down from office or just not even start running for a second term.

Melania is NOT responsible for trump

Biden's wife is NOT responsible for Biden

We have no knowledge is Melanie's absent from WH most days is because she doesn't want the spot light or her advise is not welcome etc

Nor do we know what Jill Biden knew, what she said to Biden or tried to convince him of. Should she have betrayed him and gone public?

Was Elenor Roosevelt able to convince her husband to quit?

What did Nancy Reagan say? Did she sink him with public statements?

Joe’s Cancer Diagnosis: This Is Jill’s Fault.

I’m going to be very blunt. This is Jill’s fault. We all know it. Jill wanted to keep her power and privilege flowing. She’s Edith Wilson on steroids.

Now, in addition to his very real but kept hidden dementia, we find out that Joe has Stage 4 Prostate cancer.

Former President Joe Biden has been diagnosed with an “aggressive” form of prostate cancer, a spokesman announced Sunday.

The diagnosis was revealed after doctors found a “small nodule” on Biden’s prostate that “necessitated further evaluation” during a physical exam earlier this month.

As Lisa pointed out here, the nodule was “discovered” and just a few days later, we move from a nodule to aggressive Stage 4 cancer? I’m skeptical of the timing, speed, and more. Why? For a multitude of reasons.

One: Joe Biden hasn’t been well since the first day of his 2020 campaign. In fact, I’d venture to say he wasn’t well even BEFORE that campaign started. Yet anyone who pointed out their very real and genuine concerns was set on blast by the Democrats and media, and anything on social media was throttled into oblivion.

Two: Once Joe had that disastrous debate with Donald Trump, our suspicions and fears were realized yet we were still shouted down. Until this spring when suddenly it’s ok to tell the stories. Yes, Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson, I’m looking at YOU.

Three: As President, Joe Biden is surrounded by and has top notch medical teams at his disposal. Do you mean to tell me that all these medical professionals whose JOB is to make SURE that the President of the United States remains in good health missed all these signs or didn’t even TEST for cancers including prostate??

Tax information is private, except when it isn’t.  The journalists job would not be to leak medical records (though they would if it suited the cause), but reporting on Biden’s cognitive abilities, efforts to mislead the public etc would be in their job description.

As for Trump being beaten by a decent candidate, in retrospect I don’t think so.  Dems pushed too far in weaponization and hypocrisy, and had a fundamental misunderstanding of voting trends.

I believe a good candidate would have beat trump.

    Had to be non woke

Had to denounce the extreme left

    Had to propose stopping illegals

    Could have denounced sanctuary cities

And in the end 10% or perhaps 15% of the pop who feared trump or detested his lies would not have voted for him.

    Finding that candidate...difficult...Rahm Emanuel, maybe.

I know fully believe that they knew Biden had prostate cancer well before the election and hid it from the public.

Medical info is private. Not a conspiracy.

Perhaps the dems were that stupid not to react properly and maga should be happy because any decent candidate...non woke....would have beaten trump by 10%...the country would have been far better off.

Ironically Biden may have screwed up the last presidential, election by having dementia that may have caused him to forget he had cancer. 😅

What has Kamala got to do with trump threatening a US corporation to cover up for husband actions. Putin would fo that. Xi would do that.

Stop muddling up the issue to cover forp the North American dictator.

No pres not trump, Biden Kennedy, Nixon or Lincoln should ever publically threaten anyone or any company for doing their business honestly.

Count by country of US military bases not counting CIA operations.

    https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/us-overseas-military-bases-by-country

See point number 2 - enforcing the petrodollar system. Nixon made this deal way back when with the Saudi's and OPEC. With world oil demand at around 104M bbl/Day at a low ball price of $60/bbl that's a total potential daily demand for 6,240,000,000 US dollars. Ask yourself what happens to all those dollars if settlement changes to local currencies, some other currency, gold or crypto? Where are all those dollars going to find a home? Massive inflation. So the military is there to enforce the system. Anyone trying to buck the system without permission after diplomatic and economic actions fail to persuade them to stop, places like Libya, Iraq, Iran, Syria, get treated to the full force of US military power.

Excuse me, but trump is talking about getting out of NATO, not help defending countries who the US was once friends with, about being isolated...so why spend billions defending an oil payment system he doesn't need to use, and cut Medicare. This makes Hunters lap top look like a Commadore 64.

  15. 13 minutes ago, All_Pro_Bills said:

You could be asking why the US has something like 600 military bases in foreign countries around the world. And I'd answer that's how Empires work. As for the ME, guarding the oil fields in the region, enforcing the petrodollar trade settlement system, and inhibiting China from gaining a strategic footprint in the region.

It is not 600 or Doge would have cut them all. Trump says they subsidize Canada and have 150 troops, but they still have 75000 in Germany? Hmmmand 150000 in Saudi Arabia  hmmm.

Why guard the oil guards, US doesnt need them. Trump says he doesn't need Canadian oil because the US produces all they can use! They don't need anything from Canada but need to protect Saudi Arabia hmmmm

The things you say make sense in how US has usually seen themselves in the world. I support your reasoning. But juxtaposed against what trump rambles on against his ex friends of America has got to make you pause and go hmmm.

10 years ago I never could have imagined the US citizens could live through this type of lies. His truth is more bs than taking out Saddam was for WMDs.
