  1. We're playing like we are the ones protecting a 10 point lead.
  2. Did we really just punt?
  3. This is it. Do we step up or sink? Time to find out what kind of a team we have.
  4. Also, if our defense holds the Jets on that last drive and gets the ball back, the outcome may have been very different. The biggest difference between this game and the close games that we won earlier in the season is our defense's inability to come up big when we needed it.
  5. Maybe the ineligible man down field rule only applies on punts?
  6. RALLY TIME!!!!! :pirate:
  7. wups, that's not a normal version of the video, but the gist is the same. Ignore the randomly added text.
  8. Come on, we can still turn this around. Let's not give up yet. Here's some inspiration for ya: pirate:
  9. Listen man, I know that this loss hurts, but everyone needs to calm down and take a deep breath. We are still 5-2 and tied for first place. Hopefully, this loss is pissing the players off as well and will make them focus on the big(ger) games against the Jets and Patriots.
  10. Agreed. Our games against New England and New York also might be bumped up.
  11. I'll be there. The town is great. If you have time, you should check out St. Augustine. It is the oldest town in the US and has some very interesting sights and cool bars. Go Bills!
  12. Could someone who is familiar with legal matters explain if the NFL and Reebok can really to do this if push comes to shove. I'm probably wrong, but a person's name, even though it is simply being displayed on the back of a jersey, doesn't seem like something Reebok or the NFL has any control over. I know there is a history of precedence with players changing their jersey numbers, but there is a major difference between a name and a jersey number. Again, I might be wrong, but Johnson could probably force the issue with a lawsuit if he really wants to do so.
  13. Awesome, let the qb controversy of the 08-09 season begin!
  14. I can't think of a faster way to create strife in the clubhouse. It wouldn't just anger Peters but would also upset just about everyone else who reported to camp.
  15. I will typically use either StubHub or Ebay; both of them work pretty well.
  16. Sorry if this is a repost, as I'm sure that this topic is discussed in one of the game day threads. However, I thought that the issue deserved it's own thread. I was just really impressed by how well our tight ends played last night. Courtney Anderson seemed to play especially well, and it looks as though he might be able to be a good, big, physical target for us over the course of the season. I thought he was an underrated pickup when we acquired him because he's had a couple of good seasons in the past. I just wanted to know what everyone else thought about how the tight ends played? P.S. I think it's mandatory for all threads to mention Favre, Peters, Losman, Edwards, and how we will suck next year, so feel free to mention these topics as well.
  17. 8-8 because of the Jets' weak schedule.
  18. Their inexplicable decision to let Berrian walk and drop Muhammad will also drastically impact their passing game. When your main receiver is Booker, trouble is not far in the offing, no matter who is playing at quarterback. Not to hijack the thread, but does anyone know why they cut Muhammad when they had already lost Berrian?
  19. We would never be able to fully place the load on him. With that said though, adding him to the team couldn't hurt. If we frequently cycled him in and out and kept him fresh, he might be able to produce. Given how long he's been on the market, maybe the team can get him at a discount. However, we should probably wait and see what happens with Lynch before we do anything. If someone gets Alexander during that time period, it wouldn't be a huge loss because there are a couple of other out of work RBs that we could bring in to work on a platoon.
  20. Travis "I really hope it doesn't come to this" Henry
  21. Exactly, a common breakdown in logic. All Patriot trolls, please access the following link if you still do not understand the above point: http://www.nizkor.org/features/fallacies/t...ke-a-right.html
  22. This approach might also help Edwards progress and become a more confident QB by taking some of the pressure off of him. This type of offense seems to suit Edwards as well and would justify the quarterback switch.* * Please note that I don't want to create another quarterback debate, as there are about 500 threads on the topic, and simply want to talk about the possible effects such an offense could have on the team.
  23. It probably says the same thing as the Grossman experiment. Smith is a good coach, but his flaw seems to be that he develops man-crushes on certain players and refuses to give up on them. For similar situations, see Brian Billick and Kyle Boller.
