  1. I see this all as a win win situation. If T.O. does great and we make the playoffs for the first time in a decade everyone will be happy. If we do badly, and T.O. is unhappy about his role, we get to see him chew out Dick and Turk on the sidelines and get a new coach next year.

  2. The drafting of guys like DHB are how the Bills got to the possition they are in. In '04 the Bills took Lee Evans passing on guys like Tommie Harris, Shawn Andrews, Will Smith, Wince Wilfork, and Chris Snee. In '05 the Bills took Parrish in the second rd (no 1st), and passed on Justin Tuck -- on a side note, I just notice Duke Preston was taken 2 spots before Jason Brown-- Pro Bowl lineman are more important than a Pro Bowl WR any way you look at it. Couple that with the fact those guys are a. a speedster/deep threat who has not been a dominant #1 for a variety of reasons, and b. a good punt returner, not Pro Bowl players, and Id say stick to the Big men.

I thought we took evans cuz we just hired an Offensive Head Coach and Moulds was going on 31 and we ranked 30th in points and offensive yds and lacked a deep threat. But i am sure you were content with Bobby Shaw.

but youre right, we shoulda took a DT that year when we still had pat williams and sam adams

Actually we shouldve probably waited for the great WR draft of '05 and traded up and gotten a better WR like... Troy Williamson... i mean... Mike Williams....no wait, Matt Jones? or REGGIE BROWN!

Don't knock the one move the bills made right in the '04 draft

  3. I guess that one example would be if you took LSD prior to it being illegal back in the 70's, and then got arrested for it once it was made illegal years later.

But even that's a stretch because nobodys going to actually be arrested, and nobody's going to be suspended from baseball. The only real effects from this will be in the court of public opinion.

i dont think anyone is taking LSD really to be better at their job and beat records, u cant compare taking steroids and taking LSD. now if he took LSD and put up these numbers, he deserves every record

  4. I just wish the HALL OF FAMES in all sports would have a clear and concise definition of what it takes to get in. Reed and Carter should both be in no questions asked...are they going to be better 2, 3 10yrs from now when they do get in. Ralphs accomplishments all happened yrs ago with the biggest one happening in the early days of the AFL, why now in 2009 does he get in.

Now here is a question Andre Reed or Terrel Owens (in the HOF)...if Owens quit now, not sure of all stats but I now total reception of 800. The media has an infatuation with the guy, so I would say the majority of National media would put Owens in over Reed in a heartbeat.

Irvin got into the HALL based on solid stats but moreso based on that his teammates called him as a team leader (which I can not imagine), and kept them loose and together. Owens has the stats but definately in no sense of the word is a leader. It just seems that their are different criteria for different players, Reed was great over the middle and yards after catch, Carter was phenomal on the sidelines and scoring TD's what is more important.

Even the Hall Of Fames have "clicks" and different classes. What I mean by this is only the elite get in on their first year of eligibility. PFT has a good article relating to this.

  5. take away chris's early career in philly,he spent most of his career in a dome with the vikings...andre played in the cold in buffalo with thurman thomas getting alot of touches....chris was opposite randy moss, and i dont ever remeber the vikings having killer running games...andre has better playoff stats..i think he is ranked 3rd....

true, but cris didnt have randy moss until 98, when he had at least 5 or 6 great seasons before that

    His QBs before Culpepper were

    Rich Gannon

    Wade Wilson

    Jim McMahon

    Sean Sailsbury

    Brad Johnson

a 38 year old Warren Moon

    Randall Cunningham

    and Jeff George

None of which are on that Jim Kelly level

and Most of those seasons none of those QBs played all 16 games

The fact that they never had killer running games would make it harder for a receiver for the fact they would most likely always be in double coverage.

To go in further they both have the same number of career games played at 234.

Reed started 217 of those games to Carter's 209 games

In his career Carter has 150 more receptions and 43 more receiving TDs

Reed played in 7 more playoff games in his career than carter, yet only has 1 more TD than Carter. (9 TDs to carter's 8)

In the playoffs Reed had 85 rec for 1230 yds for a 14.5 YPC average

Carter had 63 rec for 860 yds for a 13.7 YPC average.

Both are great receivers and will both end up in the Hall Of Fame, but I would give the edge to Carter as a better all time receiver. I think now he just leaves a sour taste in everyone's mouth for his terrible, terrible, terrible work on ESPN.

  6. Hard to say. He's been very impressive in his bowl game and in the Senior Bowl. We all know how elusive he is and he's shown accuracy with his passes. He's made throws through tight windows, thrown an excellent deep ball, and shown accuracy while throwing on the run also. I think he could be a QB in the NFL, but won't get drafted until the 5th or later probably. Would any of you want to see the Bills take a shot on the young man if he's around in the late portions of the draft?

the guy absolutely cannot make reads on defenses, jp losman could prob make better reads, he is beyond an NFL QB project, he can maybe be a slot receiver in this league
