  1. ya mike piazza got called a homo and did the same thing, so don't read too much into that, playmates can be bought. id rather have aj feeley as a backup

yeah plus he had a press conference just to tell everyone he's not gay, and well thats gay in itself

  2. Syracuse University Orangemen Captain QB Greg Paulus was 19 of 31 for 164 yards, had one touchdown and one interception in the 23-20 loss to the University of Minnesota, yesterday at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse.

Paulus, a Syracuse, NY native, played his first competitive football game since 2004, that game being in high school.

A football AND basketball All-American at Christian Brothers Academy in Syracuse, Paulus decided to play basketball at Duke University. Most Paulus watchers here in Syracuse felt that Paulus should have played football at the collegiate level.

"Reminds me somewhat of Doug Flutie." a friend of mine said to describe Greg Paulus' play in yesterdays game.

Remember Doug Flutie, fellow Bills fans? Remember him? Remember when Doug Flutie played QB for the Buffalo Bills? Whether you liked Flutie or not when he played for the Bills the team had:

    1. A pulse.

    2. A personality.

    3. A desire to win.

    4. A true leader.

    5. Greg Paulus is a WINNER!

    6. Edwards is a DOLT!

Greg Paulus is in his way UP! And there's many fans here in Syracuse that would love to see him as the starting QB for the Buffalo Bills. We KNOW he will succeed!

Feel free to add posts Pro-Greg Paulus posts after each SU football game. And then picture him in a Buffalo Bills uniform.

19 for 31 for 164 yds in a loss? sounds like a bills qb

  3. Let's say, just picking a number out of the air, you had $13 million dollars in cap money. Would you:

    PROBLEM A: Outside Linebacker

A1. Go after Pisa Tinuisamoa LB and call it quits (Deduct $6 Million)

A2. Forget Pisa --just go for Derrick Brooks LB for 2 years, looking at filling OLB through August cuts or draft (Deduct $7M)

A3 Sign Morlon Greenwood--Syracuse grad is among youngest starters in FA at age 30 (Deduct $6 Million)

    A3. Do Nothing

    PROBLEM B: Veteran Left Tackle

B1. Sign Levi Jones (Deduct $10 Million)

B2. Sign Mark Tauscher (Deduct $7 Million)

B3. Move Walker to the Left side and Use our drafted and existing players

    PROBLEM C: Defensive Tackle

C1. Sign Kevin Carter (Deduct 6 Million) - Has played last 2 years for Bucs, still averages 4 sacks/yr.

C2. Sign LaRoi Glover (Deduct 6 Million) - 6 sacks a year ago with Rams, off-year last year

C3. Use McCargo and our drafted and existing players, and/or assume we get an August castoff

I would Go for A2 and C1---Pisa and Kevin Carter.

For the most part, I think the money would be better spent on a new contract for Jason Pe.....whoops nevermind

  4. What in particular did he say that wasn't EXACTLY true? Prior to his signing, 99.7% of Bills fans didn't want him anywhere near the team. Now that he's signed homer nation thinks it's a brilliant move.

TO is an amazing player but he carries more baggage than a cruise ship.

Nice to see that the 4th grade trend continues. Saying something positive about the Bills = brilliant journalism. Saying something negative = insufferable hackery.

Well to be fair, i've never heard brilliant journalism from Colin Cowherd. He thinks he's a know it all and is a poor man's Skip Bayless, he tries his best to create controversy to hide the fact that he's boring.

  5. I look at the roster and think we're a couple of good players away from being able to do what we want, defensively. Reading an article about how Levi Jones wants big money, and he's shown susceptibility to injury - if the bills are going to spend any more money on free agents, why not fill out what looks to be a promising Defense, by adding a playmaker to one of our two weakest positions? Imagine how good this D will look with a playmaker at WLB and someone doing it right at DT. With pressure on the opposing QB, this secondary should have great success. I guess I'm saying, and asking your opinion, if we're going to add maybe only one or two more free agents, at all, why not go for a guy like this who seems a great fit and definate addition to our team? What could be their reason, considering this is such a pivotal year?

we cant sign him because we are already at are quota for Samoans on the team

  6. Tell you the truth, I think that Brandon has done a better job here then many seem to think. First, he brought in Mitchell, traded for Stroud, Spencer Johnson, TO, drafted McKelvin, signed Evans to an extension, admitted that the Dockery signing was a HUGE mistake made by the Marv regime, and traded an undrafted underachieving LT for 3 draft picks.

is there such a thing as someone who is undrafted in the NFL and makes 2 Pro Bowls and is underachieving??

  7. At least Denney keeps quiet.

The way Kelsay tells it, he's the heart and soul of this Defense.

At this point, just cut Kelsay. I couldnt care if we get a box of gravel for him. At least the box of gravel would be harder to move on the line of scrimmage.

If we get a pick for him it will be the biggest robbery since the eagles getting Peters from the Bills for a 1st and a 4th

  8. Since the main issue of the Peters trade was money, can we all just agree that none of these Franchise players/Superstars on the block are not coming to Buffalo. We didn't pay our Pro Bowl Left Tackle, we surely won't pay any of these players. So can everyone here just stop speculating, it won't happen.

  9. The Bills alone have had what, 3 run ins with the law in the last 4 months? I don't recall any from the NBA, much less 4. So the Bills alone have had more problems than the entire NBA, so your point is mute. The NFL has what 4-5 times as many players as the NBA and at least 10 times as many arrests.

yeah NBA players are too busy to get arrested, they have stuff to do like go into the stands and fight the fans.

But as far as comparing NBA players to NFL players isn't the same. To me it seems like the more higher profile athletes get in trouble in the NBA than the NFL. Most of these NFL players that get arrested now are mostly low profile players, Mike Vick is the exception. Look at the NBA, Kobe, Carmelo, Jason Kidd, Allen Iverson, Chauncey Billups, Marbury, Jermaine O'Neal, Rasheed Wallace, Jason Richardson, Joe Smith, Gilbert Arenas have all been arrested.

A lot of this can be attributed from lack of time in college

    Link

"Players going to the NBA after just one year of college have

been arrested at a 21% clip. Sophomore's have been arrested

at a 46% rate. While percentages show that leaving college

after three years creates a 40% chance of being arrested.

However, the rate drops significantly for college graduates. A

mere 14% were arrested during the same time period and under

    the same research guidelines."

  10. Between Whitner's arrest, Marshawn's troubles, James Hardy turning a gun on his own father for crying out loud, and signing a guy like Owens (nothing like the other 3 but just a 3 ring circus of media attention he brings) ....it really is getting bad around here.

The things that we made fun of Miami and Cincy for over the years....we are now one of those teams.

And oh, NFL fans that act holier then thou about this sport, you have WELL surpassed the NBA, a league that a lot of you shun upon because of 'thugs' as the league with the worst thugs, and it is not even CLOSE.

if the internet was as big in the early 90s as it is now everyone would say how theres so many bad characters on those teams. The only difference is those teams won consistently therefore you wouldnt complain. If this team made the playoffs this upcoming season, id doubt you would care about how they were off the field. I would say almost every team in this league has a player or multiple players who have been in some phase of the correctional system. I'm not trying to make excuses for them, but thats how some players are in the NFL and most of the teams have accepted that fact.

  11. What a politician this guy Kelsay must be to be getting awards like this. What the hell *is* the Ed Block Courage Award, anyhow?

Well, the article (http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-1/kelsay-receives-ed-block-courage-award/8d1d0474-843f-4be0-ba51-d386f3856d8d) says this:

"The Ed Block Courage Award is presented to the Bills player who exemplifies a commitment to the principles of sportsmanship and courage. The recipient symbolizes professionalism, great strength, dedication and serves as a community role model for others."

We have NO legit DE's on this team, folks -- NONE. I'm so tired of guys like this winning these types of awards. If you want to give the guy a community service award, then fine -- give him a community service award, but cut the crap about "great strength", "courage", etc.

I guess he does have courage to step on the field and know he's going to get steamrolled every Sunday by bigger and better offensive linemen.

DUDE WE SIGNED T.O. NONE OF THIS MATTERS ANYMORE

  12. Thanks, guys. Sorry, I didn't read far enough down in the thread you are referring to.

I wonder why T.O. still doesn't appear on the roster? The other FAs they signed, do. Hardy still has 81, too.

i know they better get him on their pronto before the league takes him off of our team because he's not listed on an internet roster in the given time period :(

  13. 1. Arizona - Fitz and Boldin

    2. New England - Welker and Moss

    3. Pittsburgh - Ward and Holmes

    4. Buffalo - Owens and Evans

    5. Indy - Wayne and Gonzalez

    6. Houston - Walter and Johnson

    7. Denver - Royal and Marshall

    8. Dallas - Williams and Crayton

    9. Washington - Moss and Randle El

    10. Tampa Bay - Bryant and Clayton

    11. Green Bay - Driver and Jennings

    12. Cinci - Coles and Johnson

    13. Carolina - Smith and Muhammad

    14. Seattle - Housh and Branch

    15. New Orleans - Colston and Henderson

    16. Atlanta - Jenkins and White

    17. Kansas City - Bowe and Bradley

    18. Baltimore - Clayton and Mason

    19. San Diego - Jackson and Chambers

    20. Minnesota - Berrian and Wade

Walter and Johnson is the most underrated in the league.

I think Bryant and Clayton are a little too high, as well as Williams and Crayton. other than Roy Williams, none of those receivers have showed they can be consistent or as consistent as any duo from 11-15
