  1. Do we really need another thread trying to question Lee Evan's talent as a back handed excuse for Edwards sucking????

    *sheesh*

I'll pass. Think of something useful to say.

you pass, yet you still feel the need to post

  2. damn, i mean i dislike the pats as much as the next bills fan, but you guys gotta stop crying about spygate, tuck rule, etc., no wonder no one takes our team and the fans seriously, always complaining about things that dont affect our team except 2 games a year.

Lets be honest, belichick could give jauron brady's radio helmet, tell him each play before it happens, AND WE WOULD STILL LOSE.

its time to GET OVER IT, crying about the pats arent gonna make the bills any better

  3. So lately I've been wondering what exactly has happened to Lee Evans? Is it Edwards, the always changing offense schemes, the coaching staff, is he hurt or is it the contract extension?

Since Lee signed his contact extension last year, his production has waned tremendously.

In what would be 16 games, or a full season since his contract signing, he has only 3 100 yard games, coming against Arizona, Miami, and Kansas City. While two of them were playoff teams, they were ranked 22nd, 25th and 28th against the pass respectively.

Also, He only has 2 TDs, 59 receptions, and 833 yards, which averages to a little over 52 yards a game, since the contract extension. That would rank him below 40th in the league in yards per game since the extension. And as far as the rank in touchdowns among receivers, lets just say its sad when Johnnie Lee Higgins scores more than your number one receiver.

I've seen Lee play in 3 of the 4 games this year, and frankly it looks like he just doesnt care anymore, and i dont blame him for that. With this coaching staff I find it hard to believe that most of these guys till care.

But is it because of the coaching, or is he content with his contract that he realizes he can just sit back and get paid?

So I beg to ask the question, is lee evans worth the extension the team paid him? or has the team wasted more money yet again?

  4. it was obvious in the preseason that we were not going anywhere with the existing offensive line. The "poor planning" has been going on for years (Ngata, Oher come to mind.) This guy lombardi seems to know a lot about football.

Lombardi does know his stuff, thats why a writer, Chris Landry, was caught plagiarizing his material on the internet haha.

But as far as Ellison goes, i dont know what people really expect when you have a special teamer at best starting at OLB

  5. http://www.wgrz.com/news/local/story.aspx?storyid=70837

"We interviewed six coaches... all good candidates at the time.. and we felt... Mr. Wilson and I felt at the time that we'd move forth with Dick... and it's not over...they're reeling... the Bills best chance in my opinion is to go forth with the way Dick Jauron will coach the team... I believe Dick Jauron has the type of character and will convey that to the players on this team that will give them the best chance to rebound."

    :nana:

i mean, seriously who the hell else did they interview? Ray Handley, Dave Shula and Rich Kotite?! those would probably be the only people i wouldnt chose over this as$hat Jauron

  6. I can't believe no one has mentioned this kid from Houston - Case Keenum (pronounced casey). QB is ticky scouting assignment. Everyone here is naming big school popular QBs. Look at the guy and see if A)he can make NFL throws, B)good pocket presence, C)moves the ball up and down the field, D)is he good or product of the system?, E)just makes plays, F)wins G)size, H)good knowledge of time (internal clock, knows D&D, TOs, etc).

That is how you scout for NFL QBs.

Tebow - are you kidding me? he is not an NFL QB (fails A, C, D). He is not at all fast enough to be a wildcat QB either.

Snead- hes OK - not franchise. hyped too much

Mccoy - hes average, hyped too much

Forcier - kind of like Tebow, he will be a great college player but not an NFL arm. too small

in general the big ten is a joke - and ND plays lots of the big ten so I don't look at good performance from QBs that play these teams.

Pike - I really like him, but I think he is like Harrell, Daniels - product of the spread. I think he is better than those two though

Bradford - hes better than OK, dont know if hes franchise - kind of like deer in headlights, has really good players around him big 12 teams don't play defense

Keenum - just watch him, A-H, not to mention he is fiery and a great leader. Also he is very athletic, can run well. Runs a spread like offense, but he is not a product of the system - as a frosh everyone at houston was like OMG we have a steal.

    *Yes I am a scout

Shouldnt you be out scouting then? I mean it is football season

  7. Do we have a good enough running game and blockers to play smash mouth football? Shouldn't we be playing to our strengths? We have one of the biggest o-lines, they should be able to fall forward and gain positive yardage.

man im disappointed, i thought this thread was about the band

  8. Maybe I'm just seeing things, but didn't anyone else notice that the trajectory of the deep balls thrown to TO were very much different from the ones he throws to Evans? With TO, they looked like legitamite, long throws with solid power behind them. The throws to Evans seem more like a high lob that Trent is trying to drop in a bucket.

Now, I fully admit that I have been critical of Trent's arm strength in the past, but those bombs to TO were perfect. So, I publicly apologize to Trent here and now.

What confuses me, with TO's size, wouldn't you think that he would switch up the way he throws to these guys. Evans has the speed to catch up to any ball while TO can win almost any jump ball.

In either case, this game completely changed my opinion of Trent's arm strength.

Yeah Kenny Albert and Daryl Johnston said this about 20 times during the game
