  1. Doesn't make sense to have two RB's as change of pace. Maybe A-Train wanted a 2-3 year deal guarenteed and Marv balked at it; hence, williams signing?
  2. When moulds was sulking in the Miami game because of no catches and took himself out of the game, that was when he was officially finished.
  3. Latest Mock draft at Fox 5.0 appears to have a dropoff in quality after pick 20. So pick 20 would still be a very good pick with a second rounder. I like the top 20 slots in the draft, or give me alot of 2nds then. For WM, the formula seems to allign itself for any potential dealings.
  4. According to the NFL Draft Chart, the 20th team (Giants) would have to ante up their 1st and 2nd round picks to equal value forthe Bills 12th pick overall. http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/draft06/ins...%3fid%3d2410670 The Draft Chart reveals that teams need to ante up for Bills 1st rounder: 20-23 = 1st & 2nd round picks 24-25 = 1st & 2nd & 3rd round picks 26-27 = 1st & 2nd & 3rd & 4th round picks 28-32 = All Draft Picks (Round 1 to Round 7) Interesting Giants pick at number 20?
  5. Moss is not a leader but needs someone he can look up to and "in the eye" when he's not giving a 100 %. Favre would be a great move for Moss and GB. There defense seems to have improved, and they just need a RB to be able to make some noise in the weak NFC. Playoff games equal alot extra money for the team, so a Moss can get them in one.
  6. Someone said that there will quite a few RB's next year in the draft. SD might let him go this year for maximum return; cheap like a 2nd draft pick this year and 3rd next year. How did he play, how many games did you see, and what do you feel is his value in draft pick(s)?
  7. Someone said in another post that next year there will quite a few RB's. This year Mcgahee is the most deirable for any team trying to fill in a RB position quickly. With RB's in surplus next year, SD might let turner go at a reduced rate in draft picks since he wont play behind LT much and that next year his value will drop even more. SD & the Bills could make it a 2nd pick this year and 3rd next year. I'm keeping an eye on this RB.
  8. have to agree. maybe bills just get a stop gap solution this year, soldify defense and let them mature another year and go BIG time for a starting RB next year. Why not trade next years 1st rounder to get a RB this year (draft or turner)?
  9. I would rather have Willis drive the golf cart for injured teamates, on & off the field, then let him go for a 4th. WORST case scenario is to play him at the beginning of next season (he wont be here !!!) and trade him when the RB injuries crop up at the beginning of the season.
  10. I think Houston will pull the upset of the draft and take brady quinn. Carr is expendable. Houston will then listen to Miami and any other team in that 15 minutes to see if they want quinn bad enough to bundle a couple of 1st rounders or 1st & 2nd. Then they will keep quinn, trade carr (they have lundi who has shown some ablity at RB), or keep carr and then take the best player available.
  11. What it the case of Turner picking up garbage yards? Is this RB just an overhyped backup living in the shadows of LT? Or as you say "the real deal" and since you probably saw all his games, gives us a "why" you think he's good?
  12. In the 2008 season, he will be second in total rushing yards (only to LT). SD wants to cash in on this guy because he's too valuable to be a backup RB. That's why in the bills website they said that SD is shopping him around for draft picks.
  13. I didn't see anything from a bills response that they were not interested. Turner pulled off a 6.something yards average per carry. A career back? LOL - u think LT had something to do with that? If it came down to adrian peterson at pick number 12 or throwing the 1st to SD for turner, i would hope they took turner.
  14. They want draft picks; at least a 1st rounder included plus whatever. He's shown ability; something I would take over any RB right now in the draft with "potential". How to pull this off and still fill holes in the bills offense \ defense?
  15. Your post makes complete sense but I would differ in one point; which position (s) should you pay the possible 8-11 million to get the most out of your franchise? Giving it to nate or stopping the run and maybe a FA CB for the same money? I think that you have to look what a playoff game is worth in revenue, difficulty in getting into the playoffs (Broncos), and will those players adapt and buy into the team concept? If they don't bring him back, lets see if they can get more return on the 8-11 million in other areas.
  16. Very impressed with Kelsay's response on the Bills home website. He was HAPPY to be a bill and loves the college type atmosphere here in WNY. It's not like he says all the right things, but actually means it. Glad to see Marv get 1 of his boys.
  17. I forgot which game it was, but jauron took out mcgee for a "REST"; he was getting killed all game by the opposing QB. I don't think for a minute that they are going to give mcgee top billing, unless they feel the safteys and pass rush will give him more help in the secondary. This will be interesting how they go about this and they havn't tipped their hat publicly; seems they know what they want to do but not to let any1 else until after the FA & Draft. Who said off season is boring.
  18. Ideally in a rotation, each player should be leaving it all on the field when that play and catching a blow on the sideline is replaced by another who leaves it on the field. Technically, they are all starters and subs, no?
  19. Sounds good! And a RB in the second round and a free agent CB.
  20. If he's smart , he's thinking "Great, he knows the system, might get alot better, and the Bills will get alot better. All of that will help me cash in when my turn comes around."
  21. Apparently Marv thinks so too! They must think he has alot of potential and he will fit in nicely in their defense. It's not always HOW talented, but how you USE it! The only two concerns of present players that I had was McGahee & clements; one doesn't earn his pay and the other too expensive to keep. The rest, have faith in Marv.
  22. Makes sense but they have stats for everything (weather, night games, MNF games,.....) , why not have a stat when the QB throws the ball away and when the QB gets sacked after running out of the pocket? I would really like to see those stats on young QB's since they would indicate where the problem is on a particuliar play (QB or OL). Since we can all play with data to make our points stronger, I would still say that the 8 game split indicated less sacks, more TD's, and higher Pass average attempt; usually a sign of all 3 traits from a better OL. Those positives don't side with any RB improvement tho. That was my main concern.
  23. Let him start, not sub in while McGahee goes to the side for a blow after busting the defense for a few running plays.
  24. You are correct. McGahee YAVG in 2nd half was 3.9; still less than the 4.0 median average for the whole league. My mistake was using 115 carries instead of 105. What would of A-Train's average have been had he been allowed to start against the jets twice? Jets had an 4.6 average per carry against them. The only thing worse is that the Bill's had 4.7!!!!
  25. I'm not prepared to cut McGahee any slack! With Losman's improved throwing ability, that should of opened up more holes for any average back. The 5 TD's versus 1 also stated the ability of the OL to get McGahee the extra time to spring open for the 4 rushing TD's in the red zone.
