The following is my guess at the motive for this; Melodi lay on her back. The room was spinning. She closed her eyes and it seemed to spin faster. She opened her eyes. There were baby chicks all over the ceiling peeping constantly. It was deafening! She grabbed her ears and shaking her head vilonetly, her sweat and tears being cast about the cold, cold room. The sweat poured onto her pillow from her burning skin. Either way she turned the hot wetness of her sweaty pillow offered her no relief. She couldn't sleep. Dear God, you know I've tried. I tried, so hard she thought and the tears mixed with the sweat on her face and slid down to her saturated pillow. She had to face the fact she could no longer control her addiction. She had kicked a coke habit, heroin habit, morphine habit, hashish habit but she couldn't get the thought of McNuggets out of her mind. She lay there panting. She had to pull herself together. She walked to the bathroom and washed her face. She was ashamed of what she had become. Her eyes looked cold and lonely in the mirror. To her left she was sure she saw a giant chicken clucking in her room but when she turned he wasn't there. When she faced the mirror again the faint silhouette of Ronald McDonald stared at her. "Doooooooo it, dooooooo it. Foooood, Fooooollllkkksss, funnnnnn and juicy, greasy, batter crusted pieces of some kind of chicken like substance!! It's good for you. Don't believe what you read it's very, very good for you!" He eerily spoke to her. "C'mon, you deserve a break today, we'll do it all for you!!" "Uh, what, where, who?" She bolted upright in her bed. Mayor McCheese was next to her in bed. He was wearing a speedo and he looked at her morosely. "You, you're the one. What ever happened to us?" He said with a grimace, and then he morphed into Grimace!!! "These nuggets is tasty!!" Grimace said and pushed a large plate of the steaming mystery meat across the bed to her. "What you want is what you get!" He reminded her cheerily. She shouldn't, she couldn't, she'd be flushing four days of being clean away. She needed to call her sponsor!! She grabbed her phone with her sweaty hands and tried to dial but the phone slipped from her grasp and fell on the floor. She looked up and the Hamburglar was looking through her things!! Slowly he turned to her holding her jewelry in his hands. "I'm lovin it" he said and tossed her piggy bank to her and disappeared with her jewelry. The piggy bank landed on the floor and shattered. The coins flew up into the air and the exact change for two 12 piece nugget boxes landed in her lap. She heard Ronald's eerie voice through her addicted haze, "We love to see you smile!" He said as his visage swooped around the room. "Put a smile on! Every time a good time!! The walls were moving in she got up and threw on some clothes grabbed her keys and was off to her supplier. She had to have her fix. It was wrong. it was wrong. She seriously considered turning around but her addiction wouldn't let her. Finally her suppliers house appeared. Soon all would be good, so soon, she sighed and pulled into the drivethru. "Ba da ba ba baa..I'm losin' it!!!" She exclaimed to herself. Damn, now I want me some McNuggets!!

That and his SB ring are heavily weighed down by three offensive plays. Let the loser stay home. Who needs him?

Maybin is NOT a bust, yet. The Bills knew he would be a project and wouldn't really hit his stride til his second or third year. I'm not ready to call him a bust yet at all. I think he's a lot better than Darren McFadden. James Williams was becoming a stud just before they found the spinal cord problem that ended his career, IIRC.

Change truly comes to One Bills Drive
Steely Dan replied to Mike in Syracuse's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe he'll get hired by Michael Scott. Yes, I know the difference between Office Space and The Office. Dude that is sooooo....mmmphhh....not funny....snort...you shouldn't be making....mmmpphhh,,,jokes like that. Those kinds of offensive jokes always come up short anyway. -
I can't remember any long list of injuries during the season happening back when Levy was running the "Club Marv" Training Camps. IIRC, the Cowboys ran a rigorous camp and they beat the Bills twice. I don't know enough about training, but whatever mistakes that mook was making I hope are corrected by the new S&C coach. Where for art thou next Rusty Jones?

If Cowher goes to Oakland I'll slap Deerball around like a redheaded stepchild.

Humble my ass!!! There's a reason I stay away from the political here. Don't drag it here please. Cuz it's tomorrow.

The Dallas Cowboys and Wade Phillips.

I always found that headset controversy to be extremely silly. The Ronnie Jones criticism was dead serious. -
Should I wear my Gabe Northern jersey tomorrow?
Steely Dan replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You are now commanded to only buy jersey's of other teams guys. Keep that in mind for the next time it's needed!!! -
Wade Phillips is the best HC the Bills have had since Marv Levy. I like the guy a lot because he comes across as a genuine guy. I like the answer he gave about TO when he came to the Cowboys. I don't remember his words but the gist of it was that he didn't control players he worked with players. I thought that was a very wise response. If someone like him moved in next door to you then you'd have a very good neighbor. I hate JJ and the whole America's team BS I want to see Wade win and the Cowboys lose. Obviously a very difficult outcome to achieve. So I hope they go to the Championship game and lose a very close game to N.O.. Does anyone else here have some fondness for Wade? If it's a Cowboys/NE* SB then I'll have to root for the Cowboys but won't mind it as much as I would normally.

Its Official, The Buffalo Bills pick at the 9 slot
Steely Dan replied to coldstorage5's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Will any of the second tier guys be available at their second round pick? It would be nice to see them be able to move back and still get a great QB prospect. Unless the union agrees to a system of already negotiated contracts for rookies it will be hard for them to get a trade partner, IMO. -
I hope the Jets lose for two reasons...
Steely Dan replied to DarthICE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If I were RW I'd go as high as $30 million a year, with SB incentives, for Cowher. I don't want the Jests to lose because of the embarrassment to the Bills. I want the Texans in the playoffs so Kubiak will have a firmer handle on his job. -
What he said! I think some Bills fans don't think a DE is good unless he's the second coming of Bruce Smith. He's way ahead of Phil Hansen, IMO. If Schobel had played on the other side of Smith and Bennett he'd be a surefire HOFer.

Welker's a great player and I wish Buffalo had traded for him. His on field demeanor needs work but I don't know enough about him to say what he's like off the field. Levy always said that he needed to make sure backups were ready in case there was an injury. I think that's a very valid point. Don't you mean 18-1?

Its Official, The Buffalo Bills pick at the 9 slot
Steely Dan replied to coldstorage5's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
By my count there are three teams ahead of Buffalo looking for a QB and two more that might want one. Is STL happy with Bulger? Is Cleveland happy with Anderson or Quinn? I don't follow college FB enough to know who's going to be in the draft this year and where they would likely be drafted. I'm pretty sure all five teams with a possible QB need ahead of the Bills won't take one. I'm guessing that three QB's at the most are gone. Who is the QB considered to be fourth best in the 2010 draft now? -
The new HC they hire is probably the biggest thing that will influence his decision on returning.
-
Obviously chore #1 for the FO is to get a new HC. That will affect the FA signings and draft choices. So I'm gonna approach this as If I were made the new HC. (Renew your season tickets now. ) The first thing I'd do is get a new S&C coach. Next hire a new asst. coaching staff. The only guy I'd retain from this crew is Bobby April. I'd look for the best QB coach and OL coach available. These are dire needs for the team. I'd also call each of the players to let them know I'm here for them and answer any questions. The appreciation of this type of respect to player goes waaaaayyyyy beyond the time it takes to do it, IMO. Then, in no particular order these things happen: Change the uniforms. Take a look at FA DT's, LB's and OT's. Unfortunately, those are tough to fill through FA, the high quality guys are mostly retained by their teams. I'd also look at trades, but outside of RP I can't think of any players to trade and his value is shot now. The team missed an opportunity to max his trade value at the beginning of this year. If the Bills have the turnout for their offseason programs like they have the last few years it would be a great time to adjust the entire teams attitude. I forget where I read this but a journeyman player who had been with teams who won the SB and teams that didn't make the playoffs said that every team thinks they are doing enough to win but in truth most are not. I definitely think the Bills fall into the delusional category. Another thing I heard once is that a HC put the offensive players with the defensive players as roommates on the road. They claimed it really helped team unity. The draft (In order of importance); 1. QB - With a top 10 pick they may be able to get one to fall to them. 2. OT - Somebody will have to protect that investment. 3. DT - I think it's obvious why. 4. LB - I think it's obvious why. IMO, LB and DT are almost equal needs for the team and more than one should be drafted at each position. 5. DE - It never hurts to have too many DE's. 6. RB - See if ML has any trade value. 7. Interior OL, RT and secondary are almost nil needs IMO. With all of the offseason injuries to the OL and the subsequent FA signings I think they have enough candidates to put together a good line for next year and more. Meredith was especially looking good before his injury and BB will be back. The secondary is one of the best all around talent pools in the NFL if not the best. Leodis McKelvin will be back again too. IMO, the top two needs are so necessary that trading up is an option that should be investigated. I normally hate trade ups because you're putting more than one draft pick in a guy who could possibly bust. I like the drafts with a lot of picks. The QB trade up might not have to be made and if it does it will probably cost very little, in the scheme of things, to move up a couple of slots. I think the more likely scenario is that a trade to get back into the first round for an OT will be more than likely. This offseason is dicey. So many "absolutely right" decisions have to be made and after ten years the faith is starting to crack. On the brightside the odds of doing things right are overdue now. Oh well, let us pray.
-
That trade scenario is very flawed IMO. Why get rid of your best DE and your best receiver and one of the best back up running backs for a guy the Bills don't need nearly as much as a QB? The Bills will have a top 10 pick this year and hopefully a stud QB will be waiting for them. http://www.nfl.com/players/aaronschobel/ca...ts?id=SCH422487 If you remove last year because of his almost season long injury he's averaged 9.5 sacks a year over 8 years. IMO, that's amazing for a guy on a team that never made the playoffs during his tenure. http://www.rotoworld.com/content/clubhouse...amp;majteam=BUF Aaron Schobel Defensive Lineman 8/24/2007: Signed a seven-year, $50.5 million contract.
