  1. You know, I think Whitner is thought of more highly around the league than at TSW.
  2. Whitner - star McCargo - bust Lynch - star Marv has done us well.
  3. That suit would get absolutely nowhere as the intentions of the law have nothing to do with the practices of private companies. The sports world has seen numerous supreme court cases where something stupid like sarbanes oxley was ruled to not apply.
  4. The draft is all about finding good players in rounds 2-7 anyways.
  5. Let me ask you this... Do you really think anyone would care about announcing trades? The assertion that the NFL even falls under sarbanes oxley is very dubious, not to mention any case brought against the NFL because of it would be laughed out of court. I haven't seen any source that points out that the NFL does indeed fall under it. I also haven't seen anything that says the NFL is considered publicly owned. Nevertheless, this debate is completely pointless as no federal official would be stupid enough to go after the NFL for announcing trades late... even if he could.
  6. Heh... if either one loses that game could keep them out of the playoffs. I dont think you understand. Who gets into the playoffs, a 9-7 team or a 10-6 one?
  7. Then the Colts and Packers should be considered competitors because they play next week. Therefore, the whole league would be competitors. However, i have read absolutely nothing that says: 1) The NFL is even considered publicly owned... since it isn't. 2) The NFL even falls under Oxley. It is a gigantic stretch to assume that it does.
  8. NFL teams can only be considered profit competitors by the most liberal of interpretations.
  9. Who says the NFL is considered publicly owned?
  10. Who's this McGargo you speak of?
  11. The colts play the pack next week. Your theory just got trashed.
  12. The AFC are their competitors as well. Last time i checked the packers play AFC teams, and would play one if they made the super bowl.
  13. Because the NFL chooses not to tell you everything just yet.
  14. Wow, Colts fans are terrible. There are like 4 posts about this on their board.
  15. Wait, wasn't there like 50 posts about how the NFL had to report trades at 4 because it was against the law not to?
  16. Even if he is traded, we probably won't find out until a couple hours after the deadline. I believe only preliminary paperwork has to be submitted to the league by 4 pm.
  17. Calm down people http://www.profootballtalk.com/2008/10/12/...s-still-a-bill/ Despite rampant rumors and speculation that running back Fred Jackson’s absence from the Bills’ online roster and depth chart arises from the fact that he has been traded to the Chiefs as part of a package that will bring tight end Tony Gonzalez to Buffalo, Bills V.P. of Communications Scott Berchtold tells us that Jackson’s absence from the web site is the result of an internal error. “Fred is very much a part of our team,” Berchtold said via e-mail. Besides, why would the Chiefs want Jackson? They’ve got Larry Johnson, Kolby Smith, and Jamaal Charles at running back. Of course, this doesn’t mean that the Bills won’t get Gonzalez. Still, we think his most likely destination is the Giants.
  18. i had Tundo as a gym teacher... the guy wasn't very bright. I have no idea how he gets his football team to play so well.
  19. Probably would have gotten $10-13 mill on the open market.
  20. I hear Pete Weber is.
  21. Lead with your shoulder and hit with your head. That is how you don't get fined.
  22. gonna be real tough with out a #1 corner.
  23. Still.... you would have to be pretty accurate for the average thug.
  24. Wow... 14 times? This was definitely a hit. If you think about it...they would have had to reload once or twice in order hit him that many times.
  25. The Bills have had probably the two best drafts in 2006 and 2007. You need to stop being so dense.
