  1. And yet the rules say otherwise...
  2. I guess I should be happy that it took until page 3 before people started making assinine personal attacks.
  3. It's a spot foul, but you don't apply first down until after the penalty. So you take the mark where the penalty was called, apply the penalty, then replay the down if it's not a first. It was the right call.
  4. Oh, ok. I thought it was directed at me
  5. It wasn't crap when others used it to bash DB's play. More doublestandards.
  6. Spikes. One play, and he sat out with a hammy. I know, not exactly what you meant, but I think that hurt us a ton to have him out for the game. Not only did we lose the great player, but our backup obviously didn't know what to do...
  7. Was it Bledsoe's fault that Reed made a boneheaded block away from the play against the Steelers on a TD play? Was it Bledsoe's fault that the defense couldn't stop the Steelers running game? You know, you sound like a Bledsoe apologist, err, I mean a JP apologist. Same comments I made after the Steelers game, only a different QB. As my initial post says -- different QB, same results. And yet people STILL think it's the QB. Crazy. Again, not saying that Bledsoe is the best QB ever, or that he should even be playing here this year. I'm only pointing out the double standard that everyone has around here -- 8 net points is all a "very good" performance could get us? CW
  8. If a very good game only gets us 8 net points, we're doomed...
  9. And without help, I don't think he will be.
  10. Never said that. All I'm saying is that QB wasn't the problem on this team, and I don't know how many QBs we need to go through before people realize that.
  11. There's plenty of logic -- Peter got it. JP played similar to DB, and we lost. Nobody wants to blame JP, yet DB was run out of town. Do I think JP is the problem? No. But he's not the answer either.
  12. And has a whole net-8 points to show for it. Woohoo.
  13. I'd give it a rest, except other people keep bringing up threads about it. If they can, I can point out that the play was very Bledsoe-esque. McJeff said it right in the chat room when I asked, "What would people say if that was Bledsoe taking that safety?" His reply: "JP will be save us." Until we get better up front (OL, and also DL now apparantly), we're going to struggle. Of course, making good coaching decisions (like taking the points!) would help too... CW
  14. Yeah, that's my only big complaint about the officiating. Why weren't any penalties called for roughing the kicker (or even running into the kicker). I liked when the announcer said, "Mooreman gets decked, but no flag."
  15. Can you believe how crappy Bledsoe played for us?! I'm so pissed off at him. He only led us to 10 freak'n points! If not the D, we would've been blown out. And to top it off, he took a safety that let the Patriots win the stupid game! What a crappy QB, we should cut him!!! Oh what, we did that already a couple of years ago? You mean that wasn't Bledsoe back there? Huh, weird. Different QB, same results. Go figure, maybe it isn't the QB afterall...
  16. Exactly If you want to discuss the game in real-time, join the Chat Room (linked above).
  17. I did one worse; I corrupted our entire HR database (trying to do a restore but I messed it up). Luckily we managed to fix what I messed up... Lots of unhappy people when they don't get paid CW
  18. http://www.mirc.com Download the client. IRC server is: irc.webmaster.com IRC port is: 6667 The type: /join #gobuffalo and: /nick YOOOOOO
  19. Not necessarily. Just pointing out that he doesn't interview well.
  20. Click the "chat" link at the top of the page.
  21. I'll second the turkey fryer. It's the cooking method of choice for the CNJBBB
  22. I watched it as well. It was pretty lame... JP wasn't very impressive in his interview either -- slumped over and said "you know" a lot. Didn't have a commanding presence like a lot of other QBs have. CW
  23. Anyone catch what the new commish just said? He wants to "improve communication between the players" so that a QB can go to the line of scrimmage and make an audible, even in a noisy stadium. That's a LAME "improvement."
  24. They probably aren't giving it to new subscribers, since you get other perks (like a few months of free service). I've been a subscriber since '99, so that might have something to do with it. If you have an HDTV (and don't live in Buffalo), then you really should buy Superfan to get the games in HighDef; nothing else like it! If you don't have an HDTV, then Superfan gives you the "Short Cuts" (games in 30 minutes), plus some interactive features (including fantasy football tracker - not sure how that works or what kind of receiver you need though).
