  1. No mistakes? You don't think that TD play to Price was a mistake? Price saved that play. Overall he's played well, but he's hardly been mistake-free. CW
  2. So it was a simple cabling issue? CW
  3. If I see you on the street adn yell, "Hey, CTM, you're an idiot," that would be threatening? Rude and offensive, yes, but I don't see how it'd be threatening, and I don't think the police would even bother responding to a call like that (although I am guessing...) Regardless, I think this being in the public news is definately a good thing. CW
  4. Yes, but we should have checks and balances in this country. The TSA currently has WAY too much power, especially if writing that someone is an idiot on a baggee gets you detained. Heading towards a police state if nobody can challenge the government without fear of incarceration. CW
  5. TSA is a GOVERNMENT AGENCY and we, as citizens of the US, have a right to challenge the government. Those who say "Just shutup" are ignoring the sacrifices of not only our forefathers, but of the men and women serving overseason. The guy wasn't causing a distraction, wasn't threatening anybody, wasn't doing anything wrong. And the Peace Bridge comment? Contraband isn't an accurate analogy, but having a flag on your car that says "Socialized Medicine sucks" IS an accurate analogy - and shouldn't have any effect on crossing the border. CW
  6. It could be bunnies.
  7. No, that was a myth. He didn't get very many penalties at all, actually. I did some research on it, but I don't remember the results. I think it was something like one false start every 3 games, which isn't that big a deal IMHO.

  9. Why yes it is. Merging threads.

  11. Exactly. Unfortunately there's a lot of people who think like Wacka does (no offense)... Gladly throw away our rights for a false sense of security. "Act the way we tell you citizen, it's for your own good." Our founding fathers are rolling over in their graves. CW
  12. Yes, but if you want a specific subset, and someone else wants a different subset and someone else wants a third subset, you're going to end up paying a LOT more for the channels because nobody else is subsidizing them. On a smaller scale, it'd be like saying "I want to buy the local paper, but I only want the sports section. I don't want to pay for the Local, Business, Travel, and Lesiure sections." Well if only 10 people want the Travel section, it's going to cost $10 for that section (as an example) and since nobody's going to pay that much money, the Travel section of the paper disappears. CW

  14. Press Your Luck was awesome! "No whammy, no whammy, STOP!" Here's the guy you were talking about. I just read about it a year or two ago (didn't see it on TV). Very interesting. http://gscentral.net/larsen.htm CW
  15. A teacher gave her class of 11 year olds an assignment : Get their parents to tell them a story with a moral at the end of it. The next day, the kids came back and one by one began to tell their stories. Ashley said, "My father's a farmer and we have a lot of egg laying hens. One time we were taking our eggs to market in a basket on the front seat of the car when we hit a big bump in the road and all the eggs went flying and broke and made a mess." What's the moral of the story?" asked the teacher. "Don't put all your eggs in one basket!", Ashley said "Very good," the teacher replied. Next little Sarah raised her hand and said, "Our family are farmers, too. But we raise chickens for the meat market. One day we had a dozen eggs, but when they hatched we only got ten live chicks, and the moral to this story is, "Don't count your chickens before they're hatched'. "That was a fine story, Sarah", said the teacher. "Michael, do you have a story to share?" "Yes. My daddy told me this story about my Aunt Shirley. Aunt Shirley was a flight engineer on a plane in the Gulf War and her plane got hit. She had to bail out over enemy territory and all she had was a bottle of whisky, a machine gun and a machete. She drank the whiskey on the way down so it wouldn't break and then she landed right in the middle of 100 enemy troops. She killed seventy of them with the machine gun until she ran out of bullets. Then she killed twenty more with the machete until the blade broke. And then she killed the last ten with her bare hands." "Good Heavens", said the horrified teacher, "what kind of moral did your daddy tell you from that horrible story?" "Stay the hell away from Aunt Shirley when she's been drinking."
  16. We shouldn't (at least partially) blame JP's three turnovers for the loss.....?
  17. Not really sure how accurate that site is... Last year they have Evans at just above 50%. How do they determine what's catchable? Seems a bit far fetched to me. CW
  18. You know, he's getting WAY more press off of this then he would've from AOL. Heck, this was posted on the front page of Slashdot -- his target audience. I think he's making out ok on the "leak." CW
  19. Exactly. And considering we don't throw much....
  20. This is correct - blame the local networks for this. They bitched and moaned about people not watching their broadcast (and thus not watching their commercials) and got the broadcast rules changed.

  22. Agreed. Great acting, great storyline. All of the characters are fleshed out pretty well. Excellent show. Firefly is the best show out there overall though. And it's in HD Saturday (can you tell I'm psyched? ).
  23. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-xEzGIuY7kw This is the song with the "kirk vs picard" line CW
  24. Just a reminder that this starts Saturday.
