  1. It was a great link, aside from that one picture.
  2. All sports games are always blacked out on the regional sports networks (RSNs) unless you're in the local market for that game (in which case you get the channel without having to pay extra anyway). The RSNs are pretty much just good for pre/post game shows. CW
  3. Thanks to BF for giving me this info. http://www.nhl.com/nhl/app?service=page&page=Radio Click on "Listen" next to Buffalo. Can't watch, but can listen. CW
  4. But seriously, their fruits and vegetables are better quality than from the local grocery store. (My wife does the grocery shopping and makes me eat 'em from time to time ). We don't order from them as much as we used to , mainly because they changed the delivery times to before noon in our neighborhood, and we don't like the idea of our food sitting outside all day. I don't think it'd spoil, but I don't want people rummaging through it, you know? So we havn't ordered much recently. When we did, it was awesome though. CW

  6. You shoudl try watching Battlestar Gallactica as well - but start from season 1 (well, the miniseries actually)
  7. Have you played Oblivion? That's an AMAZING game. I ended up spending 163 hours playing that game... It was a bit boring towards the end -- because I was so powerful that nothing could relaly stop me, but the first 120 hours or so were great. If you spent more time on the main quest at the beginning (unlike me) you'd probably finish it sooner and it'd be more of a challenge at the end...
  8. Ok - we need to cover our electronics with lead and buy big propane generators (also covered with lead).
  9. Yeah, it shows that we need to cover all of our electronics with lead shielding.
  10. "Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both." - Ben Franklin I'm shocked at how many people just willingly accept this crap. Cross the border and any INDIVIDUAL can take your personal belongings WITH NO REASON and keep them INDEFINATELY and we're ok with this as a society because "we're in tough times?" That's bullstojan. CW
  11. I'd rather save my time and not have to deal with a cashier... There's a reason I usually buy everything online.
  12. You want the best popcorn (on the stove) and not worry about screwing it up? Whirley pop is the answer! http://www.popcornpopper.com/stovetop-poppers.html If you buy the prepackaged popcorn, it comes out perfect every time - just like the movie theater, and no butter. The secret is coconut oil. Very tasty (but probably not good for you). We havn't used the hot air popper or microwave popcorn since getting one of these a few years back. If you don't want the prepackaged stuff, you can buy some kernels and oil and spices and make your own: http://www.popcornpopper.com/popcorn-popcorn.html http://www.popcornpopper.com/77266.html And Jim's right about adding the seasoning up front. I made the BEST spicy popcorn without even knowing it. I put some oil and popcorn in the whirley pop and then sprinled in some ceyanne red pepper. Mmmm, it was SOOO good! (my wife hated it and I had to make her another batch....). CW
  13. We'll see....
  14. I see a trend...
  15. Northwest Airlines actually lets first class on and then everybody else after that, regardless of row. They claim it speeds things up, but I don't see how. The few times I've flown, I've found it annoying when people in the front of the plane are doing their thing in the aisle, causing everyone else to have to wait for them. NWA says that it's sped up boarding by something like 10 minutes or so. Go figure.
  16. Probably first on the list
  17. For people who do read the whole article http://www.bugmenot.com/
  18. You need a new VCR -- they actually set the time themselves. (all of the PBS channels broadcast the time on their channel, and the new VCRs can pick that up and set themselves. ). On second thought, VCRs are dead, you don't need a new one. CW
  19. That's have to be a VERY VERY tall truck... And I'd wonder what they're doing in the middle of my 2nd story roof
  20. You know, I'm almost wondering if Dish/DirecTV aren't paying these people to do this...
  21. Not to take this too far off topic Senator, but the fact of the matter is that DirecTV is already using all of those sats with the current dishes. If one happened to fall from the sky, they can transfer programming to the other 10 that are out there. There may be a loss of some channels, but they could get rid of the crappy channels (shopping, religion, etc) to make sure the real channels (ESPN, SciFi, etc) stay running. (maybe this is what you meant and we just weren't understanding each other?)
  22. Yes - it's the team ranked the same as Buffalo in each of the TBD divisions.
  23. I didn't see this posted on the first page; if someone posted it earlier, the threads can obviously be merged. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2637594
