  1. It's not their fault they can't know how to spell, it's just that they're dumb. (lame save attempt... ). CW
  2. I actually agree with AD's comments (look, I put the apostrophe in the right place as well! ).Just read these boards and you'll see that a majority (?) of people don't know how to spell and don't know how to use proper grammar. Try to correct them, and they retort with, "It's just a message board, I know how to spell if it's important." I've never bought that excuse -- I don't sit down and think to myself, "How do I spell this word?" I just know how to spell from learning in school. It's second nature from SCHOOL. CW
  3. Yes, I do actually. Trig and geometry (used it to setup my home theater), english (I'm a pretty good fiction writer), typing (I can probably outtype 99.99% of people on this board - and I have the tendonitis to prove it! ), etc, etc. Learned lots of stuff in school. Besides, school isn't just about learning stuff to apply. It makes you more well rounded. Does it matter that I know Edison was born in Menlo Park? Do I need that in my day to day life? Not really, but it makes you a more interesting person. CW
  4. I turned in my first ever two week notice 8 months ago and when asked why, I simply said I wanted to move on and see other companies.
  5. Personally, I think this is the dumbest idea I've heard in a long time. http://www.cnn.com/2006/EDUCATION/11/21/an...l.ap/index.html And this quote is so bogus it's not even funny: "Others disagree, noting most adults can barely remember, or rarely use, most of what schools pounded into them."
  6. Yeah, I thought making the playoffs was the first step... Apparently some people feel if you don't go 16-0 and win the Superbowl, then you're better off going 0-16...? Did you notice that the Giants are currently in first place in their division...? If they keep that up, that's playoffs for two of the first three years he's been in the league. And I don't think he started in his rookie year, did he? (I'm not sure).
  7. You can gloat when JP does what Eli did and takes the Bills to the playoffs.
  8. You need to fix your poll... Your title is "Spikes is done?" and your question is "Will Spikes be back to his old self?" I answered "no" to "Spikes is done" and the nrealized you switched the question up.
  9. Well, that's clever.... I think.
  10. We SHOULD have lost to Houston. If the roles were reversed, we'd be lyncing the coach for not running on 3rd down late in the game. Instead the pass was incomplete and we had plenty of time to score.
  11. And when they say Minnesota, they don't mean Minneaplis/St. Paul, they mean the people that live out on the Iron Range. Ya, you betcha! Fer sure!
  12. It was really bad. Any of us could've run in front of that one and gotten a TD.
  13. The difference is that, if you don't convert and you do manage to stop them, they punt the ball and we get it inside the 10 yard line most likely. Now you have a 90+ yard field to drive. Instead, we punt and stop them and have good field position. Of course if Houston had run the ball on 3rd down, we would've lost as well, but that's not the point.
  14. Crazy woman talks to telemarketer: http://crazytelemarketer.ytmnd.com/ I couldn't find the MP3 of it offhand, but I didn't look hard. If you want to save it forever and ever, it's out there on the net. Note - NSFW unless you have headphones. CW
  15. The Midland and Northeast are both about the same ranking for me. I grew up in WNY and livei n the Minneapolis area now, so I guess it's accurate. CW
  16. I didn't think it was really a clothesline. Personally, I thought it was a clean play. I've seen it called before, but I don't think it SHOULD be called. Didn't hit him in the head, didn't try to kill him on the hit, so I think it was good. CW
  17. You forgot the pass play on the previous drive that was right in the hands of Houston, but he dropped it. And the pass he tried throwing to Royal that was terribly thrown, but Evans got it somehow. He's played better than usual today, especially in the first half.

  20. Why didn't you take the $1,500 offer yourself? Assuming you sell it on eBay for $2,000, you're only making a $1,400 profit BEFORE paying eBay/PayPal fees. Those suck up another 3% or so if I recall. Plus, you wouldn't have to wait for 33 hours. CW
  21. Funny store, but I doubt it's true. If it IS true, each of the nerds could literally sue him and win easily.
  22. I had one of those!
  23. On average, how many hours a week do you watch Bills games? Because it seems like there's a lot of threads about them around here... (I know what you're saying, just poking fun I voted 3-4 hours, even though it's probably more like 1-2 most weeks). CW
  24. PS3 broken: http://www.engadgethd.com/2006/11/16/ps3-doesnt-do-1080i/
  25. Agreed. I bought a 360 a couple months ago, and it's awesome (and pretty cheap, relatively speaking). Be sure to add your Gamertag to this list: http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showtopic=52601
