  1. I'm not even in the room - Buddy Nix.
  2. Actually, does Littman even live in Buffalo? Isn't he in Detroit like RW?
  3. Committee or not, when is it appropriate for the coaches to not even be notified? The report also goes on to say that Wilson was livid when he heard about it. Which leads me to believe that Overdorf did indeed overstep his bounds. Also, wasn't that during the Mularkey era? Wasn't Donahoe still the GM? Maybe I'm wrong. C
  4. Since the departure of Polian, this franchise has only answered to two men, Jeff Littman and Jim Overdorf. Polian was fired for standing up to Littman (and also for being rude to Wilson's daughter). John Butler insinuated that the reason he didn't stay was because of Overdorf and how he was constantly asked to do more with less. When everyone blamed him for the cap struggles prior to Donahoe's arrival, he intimated that Overdorf handled the cap and salaries. The closest thing to placing total control and power in the hands of a football person since Polian was the hiring of Tom Donahoe. But he totally crapped the bed. And disrespected the owner in the process (he wouldn't take Ralph's phone calls). Which resulted in the owner again taking over control (read power placed in the hand of Littman-Overdorf). Overdorf has also cut players without the knowledge of coaches. See Troy Vincent. Ralph was mad when he heard this, but not mad enough to fire Overdork. I share the frustration of the folks on this board. I also understand the anger against the coach, GM and owner. But this franchise is dead until either Littman-Overdorf have nothing to do with this or the team gets sold. Coy Wire wasn't a world beater here. But on his ATL radio interview he mentions how the energy in ATL is just positive and it wasn't that way in Buffalo. The Resident Evil of Littman-Overdorf are the puppet masters and the next slew of coaches, GMs, whatever will repeat the same cycle of failure unless there is a sea change in the culture and power structure of the organization. But as long as Ralph is alive that will not change. Until then it will still be the same lunatic play with different puppets. I challenge some of the sports journalists here to write a real expose in how the Bills are run. Of course, you'll never gain access to One Bills Drive again, but I think it's time to out this in black and white so there can be pressure placed on the powers that be to fundamentally change the way things are done at OBD. This may result in the team being sold, but I happen to think this would be a good thing. Right now this is a festering, gangrenous, pus filled mess. It's time to lance the wound and/or amputate the limb and save the team. The fans of this team are owed that much. Cale.
  5. Looks like the "light at the end of the tunnel" Gailey was talking about per Trent was a train.
  6. Adam Schefter tweets that the Bills tried to trade him in the offseason. No takers. So the obvious thing was to start him. This organization is run by maroons. From Adam Schefter:
  7. And his name will forever be linked to Haloti Ngata. We sure could have used him today. Goes to show why Marv should have stayed retired. Guess Ralph "knew" him.
  8. I said here this week, that the OL we had in front of Rob Johnson looked like world beaters once Flutie was behind them. It isn't all about the QB, but damn a whole bunch of things start happening when your QB knows what the hell he's doing. The audibles - man that alone was worth Fitz starting. He can't hit the broadside of a barn, but man, the tenor of the O was much different today. C
  9. I don't care if it is the Patriots. Your team puts up 30 pts., you need to be able to walk away with a win. This is coaching on D. Sure our pass rush sucks, but you need to be able to compensate with scheme. C
  10. To each their own. I think Sarah Mac is super hawt. Really you have no idea...
  11. Yep. And apparently neither does our coach. Trent benched. One might say at this point he is "entrenched on the bench."
  12. If they move to any other city except Toronto, I'm done with them. Unless it's another working class city like Buffalo. Chance of that happening is not as good as me getting a date with Sarah McLachlan. The hometown Titans are pretty good. But they were responsible for Home Run Throwup which began the demise of our once great Bills. Plus that idiotic Texan wig owns the team. Still worth pondering. C
  13. I agree completely except for one thing. I don't believe in sacrificing an entire season and reasonable defensive efforts just for a high draft pick. Nothing is promised for next season. Best to do what we can to improve the team now - within reason. C
  14. I know a lot of folks say TE doesn't have a good enough O-line. And I would agree with them. But countless QBs make plays when it counts even with a crappy OL. Aaron Rodgers is a case in point. Last year, everyone on TV pointed out that the GB line was going to get him killed. He was sacked 50+ times last year. Yet, he still made plays. Edwards is incapable of doing just that. Go to BB.com and look at the highlight reel from yesterday's game. You can see the terror in Trent's eyes. Defensive players feed off that. It also demoralizes your own team when you see your own QB play scared. It's not right or fair. But the QB needs to be the guy the rest of the team feeds of off. Trent is not that guy. I remember how bad Rob Johnson was behind a crappy line and how great that line looked when Flutie started playing. Edwards' time in Buffalo is done. Time for someone new. I was astounded when they didn't replace him midway thru the 3rd quarter. They did that here in Nashville. I want the Bills to sign Garcia or Leftwich (he'd have a chance at a long term starting position) this week. This is just ridiculous. Brohm can start when we don't have a mathematical chance of achieving anything this year. C
  15. Yeah, that's what I thought. Was one of the more entertaining games this weekend, so they moved it to a primetime slot. I Know everyone thinks the media hates the Bills. But I really think the media loves the Bills and the Bills fans. It's just a great football town and vibe. I think that Dallas MNF game sealed it for us. What I think the media doesn't like is the owner and the way it's run. Just like us. (OK, and maybe the weather) C
  16. Their TEs are way better than ours with maybe the exception of Nelson, talent wise. C I would even try and trade for Donald Lee. Offer them a fourth.
  17. Amen, brother. He brings it...
  18. Well Said. I think the Indy scrubs are bad. Painter isn't a real QB - but it was still fun to watch. I think if I was a looking for long term stock value - I'd pick Brohm over Edwards. Edwards played better. But Brohm just looked more composed to me. Would love to see what he can do with the 1st team offense. C
  19. Dude, I love the Bills. And *I* mock them...
  20. Watching the AZ pre season on NFL Network. That Skelton kid looks great. I like Levi. But man this Skelton kid looks composed and accurate amidst a collapsing pocket. Holy crow.
  21. Not reckless. Downright dumb ass.
  22. The national feed was Thiesman. How this guy has a job in NFL broadcasting, I'll never know.
  23. You know it isn't one preseason game. The problem is there is no real sea change in the culture of how this football team is run. Sure the names have changed. But the circus is still run by the same person. Even the ego maniac, Daniel Snyder, recognized that things needed to change from the bottom up. So he hired a real GM and gave the coach & GM total control on how to run the *organization.* Until that happens our beloved Bills will wallow in mediocrity. Sure, it's one preseason game - but we've seen this game before, just with a different coach and essentially the same FO. Because the owner "knows" these guys. And apparently that is all the owner thinks we need to turn this cr*p around. C
  24. You fit the system to the players you have. I like the Spiller pick and I like the Troup pick. But really, did we have the luxury to pick them? I mean c'mon, Joique Bell looks like a world beater out there. Why did we not get a LT early?
