And so others know, it’s already down to +1100. They have 4th best odds to win it all behind bills, eagles and chiefs. They’re ahead of the Vikings, ravens, cowboys and bengals. Vegas knows. But sure just keep saying that Jimmy G will stop them from getting there. Bills vs 49ers is basically my worst nightmare for so many reasons.

Nice! I got on them last week when they were 3-4 to win the NFC at +650. They were a pleasure to watch yesterday. I'm excited to see them with Deebo in there as well as Juszczyk, also a big part of what they do. Shanahan to me is one of the top coaches in the league and he's got all the toys now.

  2. Damn, I love Rob Johnson jokes.

To be honest I didn't think Ryan was that bad. He had a rough time in the Denver game which everybody saw, though put in an impressive shift on that last touchdown drive which I believe forced OT with pass rush all over him every play. He aggressively moved around the pocket the way a veteran with no mobility knows how to do and ate a lot of contact, it was a smart gutsy effort. Other than the Denver game that's what I'm seeing from him-- a guy in a bad situation but pulling out all the stops to make a little something happen. I think there's a scapegoat element at play here. But two things can be true, I also think with their OL struggling like it is it will help to have a QB who can make plays with his legs and vary the offense up that way. They do have sort of a sneaky decent WR group with the Pierce kid showing out.

It's weird how their O-line went from consensus best in ball to so bad, so quickly.

You missed the GDT.  Plenty of bench him, trade him, cut him posts there.  This thread is just piling on.  I especially liked the ones that said he shouldn't suit up for the SB if we get there.  I disagree that benching him helped, and I disagree that he has a long and diverse history of mental errors.  He does have a long history of making plays, first downs, and clutch catches and runs.  No problem with giving Shakir more touches, but I'm not ready to throw in the towel on McKittrick.  He's earned some slack with me, but clearly a lot of posters here don't want him anywhere near the field.

    The GDT isn't canon.

Never thought I'd live long enough to see the QB of our very own Buffalo Bills be the biggest "rock star" in the NFL. Not only is Allen such a great player....but he's an even better human being. There is even a thread on the Pats message board where they talk about how hard it is to dislike him. He's just impossible to root against.

It's wild. The Bills are the cool team everyone wants to play for, or watch.

Hoffman was such a good player in his day. There was a nice stretch of time where he was every bit as automatic as Mariano Rivera.

And now he's wearing the jersey of the Bills quarterback. What a timeline we got into

Not any more and not on a just recently healed ACL.  My guess is he would be used like the Rams used him.   A 10-15 yard possession receiver.

Okay, certainly prime Odell could. It would depend on what version of him you're getting.

Yeah this feels like a prelude to a big move.  I doubt it is OBJ.  Too much risk and he only complements what they have.  CMC is really not necessary in their system.  They have all the backs they need.  What they need is a stretch the field WR.  Who could that be?  Who is unhappy on their team and wants a change of scenery?

Odell Beckham can't stretch the field?

Hopefully by the playoffs Cook is up to speed.  Dumb use of a pick but they invested in him, so hopefully he becomes that 8 yard per reception RB and somehow produces on the ground as well.  But Singletary has also been much improved in the pass game too.   The past 30 years of NFL history indicates that among the last things you want is to go into the playoffs thinking you need to get a certain RB touches..........and with a big name like CMC that would be hard to avoid.

Slot receivers replaced RB's in the passing game for a reason.   Guys like Singletary and McCaffrey have been good for about 5.1-5.3 yards per touch each over the past few seasons.......guys like Cole Beasley and Jamison Crower have averaged 10-11 yards per touch.   Being any kind of RB-centric is a mistake.

Allen has been checking down to the backs a lot this year, when he does that it's good to have someone who 1) catches the ball easily and naturally, 2) turns and accelerates up the field quickly and 3) makes tacklers miss. Cook is the only one who may be that but he's not that now, they clearly aren't comfortable with him playing a lot of snaps. If it's a bad draft pick I wouldn't let that stop me from winning the championship, that's the goal, not proving your draft acumen.

McCaffrey does upgrade this team. If you can't run the ball you damn sure better be efficient in the underneath passing game and get YAC, and yes that is going to inevitably include the running backs. Throwing as much as we have to Devin Singletary and Zach Moss this year is just not efficient.
