I’m reluctantly impressed with some of the throws Hurts is making.
These guys are wide open no? Seem like very easy throws.

White is on the 53 now right? So if there was an injury/chance he wouldn't play be would have to be on the injury report?
Doesn't this confirm he's full go and playing Sunday.....?
That is a good point.

I don't know what to think of the Jets defense. On the one hand, they've got great stats. On the other hand, while they won against Denver and GB, those teams don't exactly have juggernaut offenses these days.
I'm curious what the Jets DVOA rankings say about them.
Jets opponents:
Ravens 5-3 L
Browns 3-5 W
Bengals 4-4 L
Steelers 2-6 W
Dolphins 5-3 W
Packers 3-5 W
Broncos 3-5 W
Patriots 4-4 L
Looks as though the Dolphins are the only W against a team with a winning record, and they were playing their 2nd and 3rd string QB when the Jets beat them
Bills opponents:
Rams 3-4 W
Titans 5-2 W
Dolphins 5-3 W
Ravens 5-3 W
Steelers 2-6 W
Chiefs 5-2 W
Packers 3-5 W
Have a defense that has similar stats, but playing against better opponents overall.
I think that's the sort of thing DVOA is supposed to take into account?
Of course, some like to do the "well, Jets beat the Dolphins, and Dolphins beat the Bills so..." thing
I don't have access but I think I heard the Jets D is 8th in DVOA.

No idea who Hines is (I had to Google him) but we’ve all clearly seen enough from Moss…and so had the Bills obviously. Being on the west coast I saw a lot of Moss while he was at Utah. He was great in college. It shows how hard it is to evaluate these kids. I’m hoping he gets a fresh start in Indianapolis.
I could see Moss having some success elsewhere. He knows he's been a disappointment here and he's been pressing trying to make something happen. He looks nothing like his college tape at his point.
On another team he can just be one of the boys again rather than a disappointing draft pick. A fresh start for him.

What did he say about his practice habits?
Check out how he answers the final question here, it's clear he's talking about a young player they're working with in Cook who they feel has things to learn.
There's no crime in that. The Bills have a high standard in their building, on their practice field. It's not just well what did he do with his touches on Sunday.
Once upon a time Ed Oliver was called out for his habits and Matt Milano was moved to second string during camp and look at those dudes now.

The Bills will never tell you why, but assume this is true, I don’t know how any regular fan could deduce that the Bills would be waiting for Cook to develop when he’s produced good numbers when given more than 1-snap a game.
He had 76 yards on 6 touches the other night not in garbage time.
Could be pass protection.
McDermott also made a comment about his practice habits.
For whatever reason they've made it clear with their actions all season long they don't trust him yet to have a major role in the offense.
Come January they want players on the field they know they can trust, not "well I hope he grows into it by then."
They can still be excited about his long term prognosis.

I like it. A good pass catcher with some explosiveness is a good complement to Singletary.
Cook can keep working on his pass protection, bulk up in the offseason and try again next year.
The priority is winning the championship, not proving some point about the 2nd round pick.

It's been weird watching their defense and not thinking highly of them, expecting them to be run on. Objectively as a football fan I love this fit. Roquan Smith just feels like such a Raven.

And so others know, it’s already down to +1100. They have 4th best odds to win it all behind bills, eagles and chiefs. They’re ahead of the Vikings, ravens, cowboys and bengals. Vegas knows. But sure just keep saying that Jimmy G will stop them from getting there. Bills vs 49ers is basically my worst nightmare for so many reasons.
Nice! I got on them last week when they were 3-4 to win the NFC at +650. They were a pleasure to watch yesterday. I'm excited to see them with Deebo in there as well as Juszczyk, also a big part of what they do. Shanahan to me is one of the top coaches in the league and he's got all the toys now.

Where was he going with that last throw?
That was weird, why weren't there any receivers downfield

I signed up for ESPN+ for a month, now I can watch Boom on NFL Primetime too

It’s definitely true. If we played NE in the Super Bowl Bills fans would hope for a tie or root for the Pats cause you want to see a divisional rival win the SB. Nobody really likes the Packers outside of Green Bay.
Let's see how many bites you get on this one. When will they figure it out?

Burrow and Beckham the LSU connection?

Damn, I love Rob Johnson jokes.
To be honest I didn't think Ryan was that bad. He had a rough time in the Denver game which everybody saw, though put in an impressive shift on that last touchdown drive which I believe forced OT with pass rush all over him every play. He aggressively moved around the pocket the way a veteran with no mobility knows how to do and ate a lot of contact, it was a smart gutsy effort. Other than the Denver game that's what I'm seeing from him-- a guy in a bad situation but pulling out all the stops to make a little something happen. I think there's a scapegoat element at play here. But two things can be true, I also think with their OL struggling like it is it will help to have a QB who can make plays with his legs and vary the offense up that way. They do have sort of a sneaky decent WR group with the Pierce kid showing out.
It's weird how their O-line went from consensus best in ball to so bad, so quickly.

Too bad he couldn't make it to the end of the year and parlay that into a big contract prior to teams finding out he really sucks if he has to play more than 2 games in a row.
Is this a Rob Johnson joke?

Limited regular season exposure? He hasn't thrown a pass.

You missed the GDT. Plenty of bench him, trade him, cut him posts there. This thread is just piling on. I especially liked the ones that said he shouldn't suit up for the SB if we get there. I disagree that benching him helped, and I disagree that he has a long and diverse history of mental errors. He does have a long history of making plays, first downs, and clutch catches and runs. No problem with giving Shakir more touches, but I'm not ready to throw in the towel on McKittrick. He's earned some slack with me, but clearly a lot of posters here don't want him anywhere near the field.
The GDT isn't canon.
