Mark my words, somebody is going to take a flyer on Ricky for a 3-4 year deal (based on perf. and behavior)and we're going to wish it had been us. What if there was a 29 year old healthy back out there with Hall of Fame ability both running and receiving we could get for "cheap". Who would probably take a contract based on productivity and good behavior (see roster bonus).If a trade was made make any picks we give up conditional. A few points that apply that have not been mentioned although they have been in other posts. It will not be a "new" system this year on both sides of the ball. We got rid of 3 average players on D, 2 were getting older and slower, 1 only showed up half the time. The O should be a LOT better this year.So if we jump out front early on teams the number of running plays we face should be way down. So it all boils down to how we address the few remaining holes we have. We could be "very" goor this year. Lets hope the 07 Bills are the surprise team this year.

I really think the Bills should play the waiting game. The dust of free agency is starting to settle,,there are quite a few good backs in the draft, and not that many teams looking for one. The value of running backs (unless your LT or Shawn) has been falling. Turner would want a huge contract if we traded a 2nd. Look at the recent trade of S Adam Archuletta , six years left on a cap friendly contract( by present standards) for a 6th rnd. pick. SD wants a 2nd for their backup? First day picks are almost guaranteed starters,lets keep them.

God only knows. Elbert Dubenion, Ahmad Rashad, Mark Duper,Mark Clayton, John Taylor, Paul warfield, Michael Irvin, George Sauer,Chris Carter,Bobby Hayes,Tim Brown, sooo many great receivers .How do you rank them? By, touchdowns, catchs, yards, wins, championships, off field news, you tell me.

As long as we are doing a running back by committee , whats wrong with a veteran back in the mix ( if healthy, if cheap )as I said in my post , Priest set the single season touchdown record just a few years ago. He says he is healthy and wants to play two or three more years. Having a older back didn't seem to bother with Bettis in Pitt or Dillion In NE or Faulk in St. Louis. But heh I don't have my Doctorate in BS yet.

Watching NFL net. Priest Holmes returning to the Chiefs backfield this year? Anyone up on his situation, injuries, contract ect. I could see him in a Bills uni. if he's healthy and he could come cheap. Whats the word?

This draft is loaded with 1st rnd. talent that will fall to later rnds. Reggie will very likely be there in the second rnd. He is a smart FS/CB with 4.3 speed who hits like a tank. Lets hope we get him.

I have to agree with Pyrite Gal . We have to Billieve that if Crowell whom is a very good mlb get all the reps at #1 this preseason, is teamed with a hopefully 90% TKO and the likes of Timmons (which some mocks have going before Willis) we well have an improved corp over last year.
