Henne went from one douchebag team to another. Welcome to Miami. I look forward to watching the Bills crush you twice a year and watching Schobel show Jake Long how DEs play the game at the pro level.

Was Just Watching McKelvin Clips at the Combine

I think Jauron said it best in the press conference. If he catches the ball, that's a bonus. If he gets his hands on it and defenses the pass, he's done what we ask him to do. I am skeptical about his ability to catch, but his ability to play the position should not be in question. -
3rd thru the 5th round will be crucial!!!

Buffalo will hopefully go with: 3. Dan Connor LB 4. Owen Schmitt/Peyton Hillis FB 4. Kellen Davis/Martin Rucker TE 5. Antoine Fluellen DT/DE 6. Colt Brennan QB 7. Matt Spanos C/G 7. S 7. O-Line That should pretty much take care of the rest of our needs. -
I like Dan Connor in the third. Take Martin Rucker or Kellen Davis and Antoine Fluellen in the Fourth. Than grab another WR in the fifth, and take Colt Brennan in the Sixth as our new back up QB.

I heard it, and I guarantee that Mort rolled his eyes when he heard. The fact is, Boomer called it straight. Pats did pretty well, and the Jets actually had a competent draft. I don't know if I would have gone back into the first again to get the player they did, but not bad. We, however, filled our two biggest needs with probably the two best overall players at their positions. Just because we didn't do a whole lot of moving and shaking doesn't mean anything. The FO is reaffirming my faith in them. I was skeptical about the McKelvin pick, but not anymore. I'm convinced both of these guys are going to be day one starters for this club. Mark my words.

If Buffalo is serious about drafting a QB, expect them to use their fifth rounder on Brennan. The guy has the potential to be our next Frank Reich. If they are looking for a longer term project, they could take Josh Johnson, Lynch's cousin, in the sixth or seventh round, where he is likely to still be available. On the QB note, I'm glad to see the Ravens just drafted their newest version of Kyle Boller.

Comments about James Hardy on PFW

I was very surprised too. But hey, that's the draft. -
That was nice. The booing was awesome. What really pissed me off was the fact that for the entire ten minutes that we were on the board to pick at #11, the NFL Network guys did nothing but talk about the Jerod Mayo pick and how much that showed the Patriots being savvy and recognizing where their needs were going to be going forward. I mean really. We know the Pats draft well. I want to hear about what all the teams are doing, particularly the one I root for, and instead I hear them heaping BS praise on the Pats. Frankly, Mayo is a bit overrated IMO, and I think the Patriots just drafted another Andy Katzenmeyer.

I assume you mean Mike Pollack? And yes, if he is there, Buffalo should take him. You can get Kellen Davis in R4 and that should give us our top four needs out of the way, freeing us up for depth positions later in the draft.

Amen brother!

Grade the Bills draft so far

If Mike Pollack is still there in the third at our pick, I think we need to take C. -
I think we can all agree with that last sentence in your post. Buffalo is having another great draft. Maybe we can finally get back to the Playoffs.

Yeah, all that size and speed going over the middle and leaping over WRs in the endzone is going to be horrible for our offense. Oh, yeah, I forgot. That's why we couldn't score touchdowns last year. Because we had so many tall AND fast players on our roster. We had three guys playing WR that are under 6' tall. It was time to get a taller faster receiver, not draft another smurf who is likely going to be a bust at the NFL level. -

I think, actually that it was James Lofton. If not, it was Eric Moulds at 6'1" 217. I think Lofton was like 6'2". I might be wrong about Lofton, but if not, it's moulds. -
Your definition of reach and mine are clearly different. I think Thomas is better than many people suggest. I had a chance to watch every game the kid played this year and he was top 15 talent. He wasn't picked there but it wasn't much of a reach. That being said, I did think that we should have taken a WR, but I don't think anyone could have said with a straight face that so many of the top WRs would still be left on the board at #41. Kelly and Manningham could fall to the third round. Still, we have done very well so far. I do like the McKelvin pick, just thought there was a deep CB class and could get a good value in the second. They, however, went much faster. It's all about how things play out.

Bills have done the smart thing and addressed their needs with the Best Players at those positions available to them. The more I think about it the better the McKelvin pick is looking, especially in light of the fact that Hardy fell to us at #41. Now, if we could only trade back in and get Fred Davis we would be looking REALLY amazing. Not to mention, somehow Calais Campbell and Quentin Groves are still on the board at DE. I think we are going to be able to get big time talent at any position even in the third and early fourth rounds. -
There's lots of TE talent still left. I have a feeling we could get Martellus Bennett or Martin Rucker in the third and fourth round respectively. I would actually like to see Buffalo try and trade back into the second round and take Fred Davis, but they don't need to do that to get a good TE.
-
He has size, speed, and good hands. I think that his character issues must be a non-starter or the Bills would not have taken him. We're doing pretty good so far.

San Fran holds the next key to what Buffalo does.......

I'm wondering if the Bills actually won't take a DE here. Groves is an amazing talent and could be a huge impact on the D-Line. I also love how NFL Network will not talk at all about the Bills and their needs. -

Absolutely. We're going to have our choice of the top three remaining receivers. -
Well, we may get to choose between Sweed, Hardy, and Kelly. Might even be smart to take one of the three of them and trade a 4 and 2 7s to get back into the second and take Fred Davis or Martellus Bennett. We could take care of all of our NEED positions on day one.
-
Still plenty of good receivers left. We should still have our pick of the litter when our choice comes up.
-
There goes Jordy Nelson. Sweed's wrist might still be problematic. I say get Hardy. Size, speed, hands, and NO INJURIES. Also, I think his character issues are behind him.
-
Well, there goes Thomas. Hopefully Hardy or Sweed will still be there at 41. If not, take Kelly or Fred Davis TE.
-
My first reaction was WTF? He looks like a Ted Ginn Jr. clone, and you know how well he played for Miami last year. Maybe they thought Thomas, Hardy, Sweed, Kelly were gone.
