  1. May take another year since he signed a 5 year contract, but CJ has to be frustrated beyond belief in how little he is used. I seen it after the Miami game where he says he wants people to believe he can be a full time back and carry it 20 times. He is that confident in himself, and he has this chicken$h1t coach who refuses to put him on the field at the pivotal times in the game. Gailey has to start getting Spiller at least 20 touches a game, or this guy bolts at the first opportunity. Why would you stay and play for a coach who has no confidence to give you the rock and carry your team.
  2. I guess all these so called experts should really wait to see how someone reacts in a real game before labeling him an impact rookie. Very disappointed with him as well as the rest of the defense. He may turn out to be great in the long run, but for some much hype from the coaches, players and media he pretty much sucked it up with the rest of the team today. Wasn't like he was covering all pro receivers on the other team. They were a bunch of no names other than Santonio Holmes
  3. NO DETOX SMURF, WE WOULDN'T. WOULD STILL BE SCREAMING ABOUT WHAT A !@#$1N LOSER HE IS AS A HEAD COACH. 0-4 SINCE THE EXTENSION. WAY TO MAKE US FEEL GOOD ABOUT THE NEXT 3 YEARS RALPH. Why don't you sign Trend to a 10 million a year extension before he throws 10 TD's in 1 season and his value goes through the roof.
  4. Dick Jauron and Trend Edwards deserve each other. Bunch of ch1ckinsh1t losers who don't have it in em to go for the win. Don't give me a load of Edwards brought us back and his 4th quarter comebacks. He has beaten no one this year with a winning record. They are an embarrassment to the Buffalo Bills organization. Why won't Ralph Wilson sell this team to someone like Jim and his backers, who won't settle for mediocrity.
  5. Sorry, but I have got to vent. TRENT EDWARDS SUCKS. We are paying a wide received over 8 million dollars a year to be a decoy.
  6. I think that is the magic question. To me I'd rather come up with the money somewhere and save 25-30% on the signing bonus of paying him now, vs the taking the risk of letting him play out his contract year and having a great year, at which point your cost has jumped big time. Unfortunately we have to take risks at some point now with the contract, or you get caught in situations where the player has all the leverege, such as Nate has now.
  7. I know everyone wants to pay Nate a ton to keep him, and go out and spend mega bucks to get Eric Steinbach and other Free Agents to make us a contender next year. My philosophy is a little bit different in that I will take just the playoffs, and hopefully we go further with our young players developing. What I would like to see our Front Office do, is similar to what Modrak did in Philly a few years back, in going on and signing your young core of superstars as decent rates before they hit a contract year. They were pretty succesful from what I can tell, with this approach. Our candidates for this are: Jason Peters - already done and locked up for a very reosonable rate. Imaging what trying to resign him now would cost. Lee Evans (1 year left on contract) - didn't make the Pro Bowl, but we know how good he is. One of the top 5 WR's in the league in my opinion. If we wait, next year with a polished Losman and better line, he is going to have a monster year and will cost us millions more. I think he would do it, with his team first attitude. he is the opposite of Nate Clements. Give Lee 5 or 6 million to entend. That's what we were paying Eric as a number 1. let's give it to this guy to get kim him in Buffalo for the long term. JP Losman (1 or 2 years left on contract)- Up and Coming, and if we wait and he really develops into star QB, the price tag goes up. No probowl this year, and inconsistant performance, means we can prob get him extended for 5 or 6 mil a year for about 4 or 5 years. Another guy who really seems to love Buffalo. Willis (1 year left on contract) - If he is going to stay in Buffalo, not is the time to do it. Buffalo should give him a decent offer to extend, based on what they think his potential is, and not try and lowball him for this years performance. I don't say break the bank, but give him a fair offer, as he has dealt with a subpar line (A-Trains #'s aren't great either) plus Willis has played hurt and sick. Hopefully that respect we give him, and the faith we show in him, shows him that it ain't all about the money, and let's keep the team 2 gether. If he refuses or asks for megabucks, then we know where his motive is and we move on. London Fletcher (unrestricted FA, but think will give Bills hometeam discount to stay) - Again, we don't break the bank, but this guy will settle for a fair offer from the Bills, as long as we don't low ball him like Pat Williams. They guys loves it hear, and is the heart and soul of our defense, so let's keep him for another 3 or 4 years. For the cost of keeping Nate by the bonus and salary he will demand, I think we could probably keep London, and also Chris Kelsey who shouldn't break the bank either. I just don't think Nate is going to want to stay here unless we make him the highest paid corner in the league, which I don't think is reasonable to pay to 1 guy on your defense. Then we use our extra cap money in getting our offense locked up for the long term.
  8. I will be right there outside of Ralph's Stadium along with all the other bills fans gettin ready to watch us a Bills victory. Haven't been home to see a Bills game in years (although I catch em anytime they are close down in the South as I live in GA (i.e. against Atlanta, Carolina or Jax), but this should be fun. 2 of my bros are coming in to go to the game with me, and then leavin after a Bills win to spend Xmas even with the whole family back in my hometown of Rochester, NY. It doesn't get any better then that. Sad to see that the fans can't reach up and support the Bills like they have the Sabres. This is a good group of guys that Dick and Marv have put together and they could use a full stadium of Bills fans behind em. Looks like those of us who will be there will just need to be extra loud.
  9. Between that 4th and 1 call and not goin, and now that bull sh-- of 3 runs in a row, that really shows a lack of faith in the players by the coaching staff. Tells them they don't think they have a shot of winning. You gotta let the,m players have a chance to make plays Dick. THROW THE BALL 60 YARDS DOWN THE FIELD TO ANDRE DAVIS AND IF IT GETS INTERCEPTED THEN IT'S AS GOOD AS A PUNT. HELL, IT'S BETTER THE WAY MOORMAN IS PLAYING TODAY.
  10. Coaches just cost us points. This is a really disappointing way to end the half and it shoud not have been,. We gave up a chance to get some momentum and gave them the ball backl.
  11. If there is one area our coaching staf has been terrible at this year it has been time management, and I don't want to hear about the past two weeks. It would be one thing if we got the ball back after the half, but we don't. We just gave up a possesion where we had almost 3 minutes left with multiple timeouts cuz we are scared to pass the ball. I don't like our staff's lack of balls this game. Reminds me of Indianapolis where we really did not have a chance of winning, even though the score was close.
  12. Why do we always waste exorbidant amounts of time at the end of a half. are we afraid something bad is going to happen.
  13. This guy, like JP has taken a beating on this board from alot of the fans who seek to think they know more than the coaches. This is his 2nd or 3rd straight game where he has been very solid. I think what we are starting to see is the result of these guys playing enough together to where now the talent is starting to show up. In addition to the offense being brand new, so is the defense with alot of young guys. Anyways, kudos to Larry Tripplett for another outstanding game. We definitely need to improve the run defense, but even that got much better in the 2nd half. Pass rush was outstanding all day long.
  14. He really spent the whole time trying to deflect the reporters inquiries as to how he is doing better, to show how other little things that these other players are doing is helping. He mentioned that this time alot of the players acted as if they had been there before. Talked about how Fowler is helping speed up getting the linemen lined up, and Gandy is helping to keep the line pumped up when they get tired of hearing the QB's voice. He mentioned every linemen by name as to what they were doing and how they don't ever get the good publicity. Also talked about the great catch by Roscoe and how it seems like they finally are starting to see the results of the hard work. This guy is really stressing the team concept, so hopefully this is a sign of the team really rallying together.
  15. Guy just sounds like a leader in this interview. Stressing teammates, unity and everyone contributing to the win. I have a feeling this guy is going to be something special once our line starts to come together and everyone gets this offense down. We are headed in the right direction. And for LSI and Deluca, we don't want to hear anything about how you've seen enough. There is a thing called being a fan, and that means supporting the team, especially the starting QB instead of hoping they fail so you can tell everyone how right you are. THIS TEAM WOULD BE BETTER WITHOUT FANS LIKE YOU. I LIVE IN ATLANTA, BUT WILL BE UP THERE ON XMAS EVE WATCHING THE BILLS TAKE OUT THE TITANS. GO BILLS. LET'S SEE A SELLOUT NEXT WEEK. NO ON THOUGHT WE COULD STAY WITH THE COLTS, SO ON ANY GIVEN SUNDAY.
  16. !9 completions in a row. That is just not acceptable for any defense, especially not for the playmakers we have back there and the money they make. COME ON D. MAKE A DAMNED PLAY FOR ONCE. I'M TIRED OF A TURNOVER HAVING TO BAIL U OUT.
  17. Y shotgun on 3rd and 1 but never any other time. HUH!!!!!!!!!!
  18. Let's hope the coaching staff can make some adjustments to throw the Texans off their game, especially on defense. Our defense has been terrible. it's like our blitzers are running smack into a blocker. I had a good feeling about this game for ouir offense, prior to game time, but didn't expect our defense to look this bad. I understand that teams cause turnovers, but sooner or later giving up huge chunks of yards is going to come back and bite you. Be nice to see our special teams and return guys swing momentum back in our favor in the 2nd hald.
  19. This games mementum has turned very very quickly on the side of Houston. it's time for the defense to make a stand and prove their worth. Alot of money is spent on that side of the ball. Time to make a play and shut them down
  20. I really hope our offense can keep up with these guys the whole game. Too many times in the past where we hit a couple big ones and then we go int the tank. Our defense has no right to ever talk about the offense not doing it's part. They have been giving up 400+ yards a game and coming up with some lucky turnovers to keep the scoring of the game down in our favor.
  21. Look at this quote from Dan Koppen of the Patriots: “They pressured us a lot more,” said center Dan Koppen. “It comes down to having the right assignments and picking up the guys you’re supposed to, and I don’t think we did that well enough. (Brady) is going into that press room and take the brunt of it. That’s the kind of guy he is, but he shouldn’t have to. We’re all in this together and this was a team loss. We don’t give him the time to make plays. That’s on us.” That's after giving up 4 sacks on a day Brady dropped back to pass almost 40 time. Compared to our 4 sacks and numerous pressures on a day Maybe if our offensive linemen had the kind of sentiment towards our QB's (and it's been more than just JP over the past few years) and a little more pride, they might actually go out there and do their job for once, instead of being the laughing stock of the league. That's what's wrong with this f'in team. The area that is the root cause of all of our offensive problems won't even acknowledge publicly that they are the problem. You hear other folks (who actually have the balls to talk to the media like Evans and McGhahee) always referencing the fact that they've got to protect the QB better. You also hear the coaches talk about how we have protection problems. You hear JP talk about how there are mixups but never come out and name someone, but always point the finger at himself. But you don't ever hear that from the offensive linemen about why they can't do their job. Only crap I heard out of them was during the bye week about how they are excited with the change and can't wait to play. Let's start making these pieces of crap start coming up to the podium each week and explaining why they can't do something they are being paid millions to do. I know one likes to play chess (Melvin Fowler), and another always talking about he thinks he's doing pretty well (Jason Peters) and others on their bowling excursion. Maybe if Peters thinks he's doing pretty well, he needs to light a fire under the rest of his cohorts who obviously aren't. It is not always on the QB. Sooner or later, individuals need to be accountable for doing their jobs, and the most glaring example of it on this team is our offensive line and the fact that they have no pride whatsoever.
  22. I don't forget them. I never said he has been playing great. I think he has been mediocre this year, which is better than what he was last year. From what I've seen of him, once he gets a better offensive line around him, I think he will be an outstanding QB (maybe not all pro but better than we've had in a long time). The guy has been taking a licking all year long. You don't think that is starting to where on a human being. People say he doesn't avoid pressure, but I think his touchdown last week was moving in the pocket to deliver the pass. A few weeks ago he was running around for this life all game avoiding pressure. Anyways, we agree to disagree. I think the coaching staff sees the same things I do, and hopefully (for all Bills fans sakes) he proves all the naysayers wrong. I really want to see what this kid can do with an offensive line.
  23. Evidently while watching all the other games you missed the fact that this was happening to JP on just about every attempt he went back to pass. It's one thing to have it happen occasionally, and your right that all QB's =have to deal with it. But the majory of the good QB's do not have this happen to them all the time, and when it does happen they usually don't play that well. Ever see Tom Brady have a bad day. I remember a 31-0 defeat at the bills. Last year vs Denver, last week against the Colts. What about Petyon against the Steelers or NE prior to the last couple years. If you harrass a QB it makes them make bad decisions. That is the exception for these guys. Imaging that being the norm for JP and he always has has someone in his face or hitting him as he throws. That's a bit hard for any QB to overcome, especially a young one.
  24. Let's take all the emotion out of the debate and look at it from a different angle. Everyone has their opinions, but progress in the websters dictionary is defined as: Progess: gradual betterment; especially : the progressive development of humankind Regression: movement backward to a previous and especially worse or more primitive state or condition With the board in chaos over whether JP has progressed or regressed, and should be yanked, let's look at this on the actual definition of the words. Let's also take into consideration that he is also in a brand new offensive system that he is trying with an offensive line in shambles, so it's a little bit harder than being in the same system for a couple years. Stats for the past 2 years to determine whether progression has been made. 2006 Attempts: 225 Completions: 139 Percentage: 61.7 YPA: 6.65 TD/INT 7/6 Fumbles/Rec 8/3 2005 Attempts: 228 Completions: 113 Percentage: 49.6 YPA: 5.87 TD/INT 8/8 Fumbles/Rec 7/3 What I see is an improvement in 3 of the 4 major areas of a QB stats. This is all done again trying to learn a new offense, a new style (staying in the pocket instead of scrambling) and one of the worst offensive lines in football, that had to juggle 2 of the positions and insert a 7th rounder at another it was so bad. If we talk about having "it", I don't even want to hear that crap. Very few QB's have "it" and must get by on their skillset. Everyone in the media said Matt Leinert had "it" after 2 games, but we see where that's got him. Maybe JP obtains "it" with experience and maybe he doesn't, but when you look at the definition of progress and regress, it is obvious that JP has improved the more he's played. The fumbles is an area he has to improve on. He's admitted it and he took a wicked shot in the back today and held the ball, yet no one brings that up and gives him credit for that. Another area he has made progress in, is the respect of the teammates, esp on offense. I consistantly here these guys in interviews support JP and talk about the lack of protection he gets. That is a huge improvement over last year. Some QB's take a while. Everyone thought Hasselback and Brees were busts after a few years, and we see where they are now. Since in my opinion JP has progressed (albeit not as quickly as we'd hoped), in the context of the literal definitions, he has progressed and not regressed, and according to the Bills coaching staff he is coming along (albeit slowly), I will no longer listen to you clowns who act as if JP Losman is the root cause of all evil with this team, and should be yanked immediately for a QB who hasn't even been able to take the 2nd string position on the depth chart. I therefore, and hopefully many others, will continue to support the starting QB of the Bills, instead of hoping so badly we yank him, and therefore have to start over again next year trying to find a QB, when our offensive line is so obviously the problem it is not even funny. If the Bills coaching staff eventually decides that they will pull JP, then I will root for Craig Nall (or whomever they put in there) but until then, some of you just need to let it rest. For those of you who can't support the starting QB, go somewhere else and quit trying to bring gloom and doom to this board. It's hard enough going through the rebuilding which we already new was happening anyways. This place used to be a forum for Bills fans to enjoy the games, help get through the hard times, but y'all are turning it into a crusade as to why the Bills will never be good again, and it's getting old. GO BILLS!!!!!!!
  25. RAY...IS THIS SHORT FOR RAY CHARLES CUZ YOU MUST BE BLIND. The playcalling is because the coaches have no faith in the offensive line to even block long enough for him to get the ball off. If they thought he couldn't make a decision to pass, they would replace him, plain and simple. Or they would tell him to use his legs as a weapon as he has shown he can do in this league. They are trying to turn him into a pocket passer, and unfortunately our offensive line can provide no pocket. We'll see if we can get you a brail television set to help u out on sundays. And an answer to your question, is yes...I had no problem with the way he played. When asked to pass the ball and give any semblance of time, he was pretty accurate. He threw the ball away 1 time instead of taking a chance on an int. If he was given opportunities to make plays, and didn't, that's one thing. The coaching staff is handcuffed by the offensive line and is playing it close to the vest until the line starts to gel a bit and can protect the QB.
