  1. First of all, it's the offense that has regressed, not specifically JP. When give time, he has played pretty dang well, although he does need to work on holding onto the ball when hit. As far as the reasons to like him, let's see: 1) Team player - doesn't call out teammates when he obviously has reason to 2) Great work ethic - said to be by all coaching staffs he's been under 3) Loves the city of Buffalo and Bills organization (not every1 can say that) 3) Takes accountability for when he doesn't play well. 4) Is receptive to coaching (they are telling him not to scramble) and he is trying to do this to become a better QB. 5) Has all the tools to succeed except experience and a suporting cast. Does his decision making need to improve, yes but that comes with experience. 6) Has improved the more he plays. Say all you want about the past 2 weeks but in the limited opportunities (the coaches have no faith in the line, not JP), he has completed 61% of his passes and has 1 TD and no turnovers. That to me is not regression. 7) He is a competitor and hates to lose, but at least is realizing that this is a building job they are doing. Other than that, nothing. There is plenty to like about this kid, and unfortunately some of the folks like you don't have anything constructive to post about the Bills unless you are attacking a play who doesn't meet your standards. It almost feels like a vendetta sometimes.
  2. Spin all you want moron, but giving up on a player usually indicates that they replace him with someone else. As far as I could see JP is starting every game, and was in the game the whole time. I must be missing something. I think the coaches realize the line is the problem, and are trying to do anything to improve pass protection (i.e. shaking up the line);. Quit acting like you know what you are talking about. It's pretty obvious u don't. Support the Bills 4 once, instead of trying to find someone to blame 4 ur inability to realize this is a rebuilding year.
  3. Not completely, but I don't think the problem rests with him. The Bills offensive problems almost all come down to that offensive line. I do still support him as the Bills QB. I think that the main problem is that this offensive line has handcuffed Fairchild from calling any sense of his offense, which relies on more on deeper patterns. Our offensive line is pathetic.
  4. Amen Cablelady....... Let's hope we can get back to a board of Bills fans who support the team, instead of those of a Mob Mentality who keep looking for someone to blame. No one thought that this was a playoff team this year. For the few folks who don't know reality from insanity, you need to realize this team is more than 1 player away (and that 1 player is not QB).
  5. Cablelady...thank god for your common sense and sense of humor. This place would be unbearable without it, especially with some of these fairweather fans that seem to have come on board recently. I used to remember when this was a board of Bills Fans who stuck together and supported the team. That seems like eons ago.
  6. And JP takes his share of accountability, but fans like u act as if he is the entire problem. There is no young QB who would be successful behind this line. Don't care whatever some of you few bashers keep saying. I am behind the QB of the Bills, who happens to be JP Losman. I think the coaches realize that JP is not even close to the main problem on offense, otherwise they would make the change that some of you fanatics keep screaming for time after time.
  7. I'm so tired of the pessimistics, idiotic morons who somehow always seem to spin the situation into the fact that JP was the reason we lost the game. Last game he only had 15 attempts, completed 55% of passes, had 1 td and 0 int's and was terrible in the win. This game, very few attempts, still completed majority of them, even after he was under pressure AGAIN all day, the line blows, we have untimely penalities all day, and yet JP is the reason we lost according to some of you idiots who continuously try to blame JP. While he didn't win the game, he sure as hell wasn't asked to by this staff, which is a shame,. They rarely let him pass, have TE's blocking pro bowl DE's when we do pass, and tell him to stay in the pocket instead of scrambling to learn how to read defenses as is will make him a better QB long term For all of u idiots screaming for Craig Nall and not thinking this kid can do when surrounded with a compentent supporting cast, you need to go support another team cuz you sure as hell don't know much about the Buffalo Bills and what is wrong with this team. QB is not our biggest need.
  8. Is it still Losman's fault for those of you with a pitchfork looking for his head. I thought Bills fans had better football IQ's, but evidently not. Let's see how everyone blames this loss on him as well. We have no f'in ofensive line plus this team lacks playmakers.
  9. I'm embarrassed to be a Bills fans they way some of y'all stick by our QB. It's pathetic. He's done nothing today except what the coaching staff has asked of him, and you guys act as if he's turned the ball over 3 times. You folks screaming for JP's head of any little mistake are pathetic.
  10. Nope. That would take away half of the time we have to get the pass off. Unfortunately our line can't block long enuf to make play action a viable part of our gameplan.
  11. Called a smart play. DB had position and he threw it away instead of taking a change on an interception
  12. Why r we afraid to throw the bacll more than 5 yards. Where the heck is a damn slant pass. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH OUR COACHING STAFF. ITS LIKE WE DONT WANT TO WIN. WE OPENED UP THE GAME ATTACKING THE MIDDLE OF THE DAMNED FIELD AND MOVED THE BALL, AND WE HAVEN'T GONE BACK TO IT SINCE. I'm almost getting to a point where I think Ralph is trying to get the fans of Buffalo so bored with the Bills that we don't care if they move the team.
  13. This coachoing staff is holding this offense back. No shotgun, alwasys running. it's pathetic. no ingenuity for fairchild and I thought he was going to be a good coach
  14. That's right. Mark Kelso just wore the inflated helmet because he thought it made him more attractive to the ladies.
  15. I will give you that in that all his off season things have had an effect. Pittsburgh's running attack is definitely not the same as it was last year. Even Willy (although he's not haveing a bad year) is averaging almost a yard less (4.7 in 2005 compared to 3.8 so far this year).
  16. This league feasts on young QB's, especially once the defensive coordinators start to get some tape on them. Same thing goes for Leinhert, as goes for Tony Romo and goes for JP, who still is basically in his first year of starting. You've seen it with the Mannings, Carson Palmer, and a list of others. After Leinerts brilliant debut, let's see how he has progressed. Before you act as if I don't like Leinert, I actually do and think he is going to be a very good QB. Maybe better than JP. The fact is that JP, given the time, experience and supporting case, in my opinion is going to be a very good QB. We have too many holes on this team to be selecting QB in the 2006 NFL draft and he does not have the arm for Buffalo. Leinerts Statistics so far, and you'll notice it s gotten worse each week: October Passing Rushing Fumbles GAMEDATE Opp RESULT GS Att Comp Pct Yds TD Int Rate Sac Yds Att Yds Avg Lg TD Fum Rec 10/01 @ATL L 10-32 No 9 6 66.7 54 0 1 43.1 1 4 1 -7 -7.0 -7 0 1 0 10/08 KC L 20-23 Yes 35 22 62.9 253 2 1 91.7 4 31 1 4 4.0 4 0 0 0 10/16 CHI L 23-24 Yes 42 24 57.1 232 2 0 88.6 1 12 0 0 0.0 0 0 1 0 10/22 @OAK L 9-22 Yes 32 13 40.6 203 0 2 36.3 3 29 3 5 1.7 3 0 1 1 TOTAL 118 65 55.1 742 4 4 71.4 9 76 5 2 0.4 4 0 3 1 I don't want to hear crap about Brady. Brady is a one and a million player (who is a great leader and was from the get go), but who was very sheltered in his first year of caretaking the offense. The defense and Bellichek carried them to their first Super Bowl. As you have seen with experience Tom Brady has just gotten better and better. There may be an instance where someone comes in right away and is great the whole time (ala Dan Marino) but those are very rare. The fact is, for those of you 'experts', who keep throwing out facts to support that JP must go, is that you don't know crap. Leave the decisions to the coaching staff and front ofice to make the decisions. You act as if a QB should be spectacular from the get go. Guys like Leinert and Young were starters from the get go in College and played in huge atmospheres, so of course it may take less time to get acclimated, but for what JP has had a chance to do I think he has done alright. Being a Buffalo Bills fan, I will support the team, including the QB who the coaches feel is progressing, and quit overreacting to a bad slump by the whole team, and call for 1 players head because it will make you feel better at night. You seem to refute the possibility that the rest of the team's issues could somehow be impairing our QB's progress. Is he perfect, no. Does he have things to improve on, yes. But he admits it, takes the blame for some of it, and is working on it. That's good enough for me when we do not have a better option on the bench. As I said before, young QB's will struggle. Your seeing it with Big Ben now in Pittsburgh without the running game to rely on. Young players are inconsistant, especially when they are surrounded by a spotty surrounding case. JP is in that boat. Give the guy the rest of the year and see how it goes. If he stinks up the joint you'll get your wish and we will start over, but quit ripping the guy for not being super human. He is a player on what is supposed to be your favorite team.
  17. And this was based on what? Evidently I see that same things as the coaches see, because they state the same thing, that JP is a young player who will make mistakes as he gets the experience. Just because I am not an outrageous "fan"atic who screams for the backup QB, and will allow a young player time to develop instead of starting brand new all over again, is no reason to insist that "I suck at watching games". I think there was a QB named Rex Grossman on a Chicago team who had a bad game last week. Don't think they benched him. I'll leave it up to the coaches. If they want to put someone else in so be it, but I think we could use a change on the offensive line b4 we change the QB.
  18. VA....let me put this too you gently. I am not getting into this kiddish argument about JP with a guy who has Barney of all things as his avatar. This post was simply about a member of an offensive line that has been referred to as inferior by fans, announcers, media and any1 else you can think of, and how I am sick of one of the underachievers calling out other teammates for being part of the problem when he refuses to take any accountability for his part in causing the turnovers he blamed others fall. That leads to dissention, not building chemistry which is what this team needs. That same offensive line helped Willis average a whopping 2.9 yards a carry. That being said, back to the Barney Bag VABills. I'm tired of your JP is not the answer tirade in a post that was not even started about JP.
  19. I say try this Aaron Merz over there and see what happens. I didn't hear his name mentioned to may times on the left side. Not sure how many times I seen McGahee get stuffed running to his right or get engulfed by Ty Warren or Vince Woolfork (guys that CV would have been blocking. There was 1 play Woolford just pushed Villarial backward, then jumped to the side and swallowed Willis. The announcer made a comment about it. As far as the comment about being a better team, it's not all based on talent I'm making that comment on. It's based on heart and committment to your teammates, and accountability instead of trying to get the attention off of you when you screw up. I know we are stuck with him, but I really can't stand players like him. What a waste of money.
  20. Don't even try and come at that angle. The announcers were mentioning consistantly how JP didn't have time in the pocket. Once of his turnovers came when he had to scramble out of the pocket and the damned referee couldn't stumble his a$$ out of the way. I think Tom Brady would take the 3 sacks a game he had in the first hald to get the portection he gets on all the other plays the rest of the day. That is in stark contrast to the 1 or 2 sacks that JP may have had but was under constant pressure the rest of the time. JP has shown when given time he is a pretty decent QB with all the tools. I'm not saying that JP played great today. He's a young QB making the same mistakes that other QB's make under similar situations. But some of you guys clamoring for Nall or any1 but JP are looking for any little thing to pin on the kid, instead of looking at what the true problem with our offense is (the offensive line).
  21. That's fine, but if you were at the root of one of the major issues at least have the gonads to say out loud that you were part of the problem. Lee Evans in his interview said that he felt bad because HE did not play very well. JP said he hurt the team with turnovers and needs to reduce it. He says he will resort to trying anything to help with this. Chris Villarial simply stays mum about the ofensive line and his missed assignment. Not even an "I need to look myself in the mirror", or "we need to protect JP" comment. He put all the blame on the others and refused to take accountability for his robbing Ralph Wilson of a paycheck every week. HE'S A BUM. BUFFALO WILL INSTANTLY BECOME A BETTER TEAM THE MINUTE HE HITS THE WAIVER WIRE.
  22. Absolutely. I mentioned the same thing earlier in another post. We would strengthen ourselves and weaken New England, but what do we do, leave CV in and sign Tutan Reyes. WOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
  23. It was funny listening to this piece of crap interview after the game on 97 ROCK. Says the problems with the offense all comes down to them not turning the ball over, making plays and avoiding stupid penalties in the end zone. Says that's the only thing wrong with the offense. WAY TO CALL OUT JP (turnovers), LEE (dropped pass) and PEARLESS (penalty), among others on the offense, without taking any accountability himself for today's game. HEY CHRISTINE VILLARIAL, HERE'S AN ADDITIONAL PROBLEM WITH THE OFFENSE. IT'S THE OFFENSIVE LINE. You wiffed on your lame a$$ attempt to block a LB which got your QB blown up on one of the plays that caused a turnover. Guess what, another turnover occured when JP had to scramble out of the supposed "pocket" because protection had broken down. Does he leave the pocket because he wants to enjoy the scenary in the rest of the field DUMB-A$$? NO, it's cuz u and your imcompetent cohorts up front can't block worth a damned. You know why that wuss was the first one to come out with DJ was hired and praise him publically. It was bcuz he knew that they had a history tgether and he would probably have a job 4 another year or 2 since DJ is very loyal to "his guys". I'd like to see them waive him like MM did to Bobby Shaw a couple years ago, to get the veterans attention that inferior play and effort is not to be tolerated, along with those folks who want to bench JP for turning it over. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. People are all over JP right now, but at least the guy is out there trying to make something happen. Some1 needs to kick that offensive line in the groin to get their attention in that they are not doing there jobs. Where are all the screams from some of you folks for the 2nd string offensive linemen to come in. How is it that bringing in a backup QB is going to get rid of the turnovers, but changing blockers won't help improve the blocking. If we need to see for next year, let's change the blockers and see what we got sitting on the bench. Chris Villarial can go to he11 for all I care as I have never heard a person who sounded more unaccountable for being part of the problem in my life. At least JP admits he makes mistakes and hurts the team and needs to get better. Listening to CV, you'd think he was an all pro, not someone whose missed assignment was THE MAIN REASON for one of the turnovers he says are at the root of the problem. We need players that have heart, and accountability on this team, not dog-crap like Chris Villarial. I didn't like him b4 this game as I think he is washed up, but that interview sealed the deal for me on that one.
  24. What's really sad is that we could have had Stephen Neal as a free agent for a relatively modest price this last off season. Not only do you strenghen one of your weak areas, but you weaken the team you are trying to catch. Do you think we do that. No, we go out and sign Tutan Reyes. HUH!!!! Go figure. I'd take Stephen Neal, a starter on multiple superbowls, who is pretty decent over this guy who his team (panthers) didn't even want back).
  25. Thank you Nick. I wish some of these hot heads would realize that you have to find out about JP 1 way or the other. We were not doing anything this year no matter who the QB was. The team is NOT that good, and we have to get better in the trenches before we will get any better. We will know at the end of the year if the JP experiment failed or not. let it play out. I swear to god it was some of these fans coaching the Bills last year and not Mike Mularkey when we had not sense of direction.
