  1. So, he was faking it? Just to set JP up for the loss?
  2. I would like to go defensive side of ball. Anywhere except secondary. Too bad Bowman got injured. Prolly DE or DT. As for our offense, I believe things will greatly turn around once o-line gets its act together. If we do go offense, an o-line pick would be best.
  3. Don't worry, Mort already told us this a while back.
  4. Going into the 4th quarters of the Raiders and Rams games, I would never have thought Trent could pull a rabbit out of his hat and win those games, but he did. So, it is not entirely unreasonable to say that they could have won the Arizona game if Trent was in. He's done it before. I dunno, maybe if the defense saw the offense coming alive, just maybe they would have decided to show up and give a better effort.
  5. Does this mean that he is never going to get into "football shape" anytime this season, since he will be preparing for games each week? I would think that if he is not in "football shape" by week 5 of the NFL, he has a little bigger problem that just missing training camp, which under the Jauron regime, doesn't look to be that grueling.
  6. I don't think missing the OTAs has anything to do with his current play. I don't know personally what goes on at these OTAs, but they seem to basically a bonding experience. Training camp is much different. There is a lot of learning to be had. However, there is probably more learning during the first month of the regular season than the month of training camp. And as stated above, Peters really hasn't improved over the first month of the season. This is not good. He's had his month, you can't keep on blaming it on missed camp.
  7. Written with no sarcasm: Agreed. This team does not need JP as a back-up. We would not miss a beat if he wasn't here anymore. It's just not worth the headache. We should probably get an older veteran-type back-up for next year, someone like Flutie. Flutie would have won that game.
  8. Do you really think we need to draft different players for the o-line? I think the talent is there, we have seen it in prior games. It's just that they are not playing up to their potential. Or, the have been overachieving for a while now. Well, maybe a new center.
  9. Biased? 100% of the posts on TBD are biased. Well, except for Crayonz's.
  10. No, this is a JP loss. Quit being silly.
  11. 1) 99% of the posters at TBD would have died if they suffered the hit Trent was delievered. 2) DT in the first round, anyone? Or, maybe DE. I don't know about McCargo. Stroud will either be leaving or will be over his prime in about 2 years. Williams and Spencer are really good, but not great. Schobel is past-prime. 3) JP needs to be either released or traded this off-season, if just to silence the robots around here. 4) They should extend Jackson's contract BEFORE the end of the season, so he can be an insurance policy in the very least. We can afford to let Greer go.
  12. No, that was JP's fault. When Peters screws up and leads to a Trent sack, it is Peter's fault. When Peters screws up and leads to a JP sack, it's JP's fault for holding onto the ball for too long. A JP mistake trumps a Peter's mistake. All joking aside, do you think it would be a good idea to have Peters and Walker swap positions for a while (or permanently)? Walker seemed to do a good job and will likely just get better.
  13. "Honey, I'm gonna be running a little late tonight. Tough day at work."
  14. But you have to truly wonder if he is ready, or will he pull a Billy Joe Hobert? No one ever doubted JP's physical attributes as an athlete, but doubted his brains, motivation, and love of the game. He has been known for blowing off watching game film, being the first off the practice field, and not studying the playbook. What has changed now that would make him more motivated? Maybe his maturity. But, I would think being the actual starter is the greatest motivation to be your best - and he blew that. Now, on the bench, it would seem a lot easier to stare blankly at the clipboard and wonder what you are going to eat for dinner while you make your 6-digit paycheck.
  15. Well, he's not the only one picking the Cards: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/features/talent Even the ESPN Accuscore Game Forecast is picking against us. I guess it's just not cool enough yet to pick the Bills.
  16. I have a Mac and watched the game on this link: http://xssports.lhosting.info/xsbills/ Or, maybe JustinTV, I forgot. Either way, the trick to get a better quality feed is to right-click on the game screen and select low-quality. This will cause it to stop freezing up and the quality will still be the same.
  17. I really don't care what his stats are, if he keeps making game-changing catches, like the ones he had versus the Raiders and Rams in the 4th quarter, he is well worth the money. But, then again, Reed has also been having a bunch of game-changing catches.
  18. I don't know about this. JP is know for his awesome arm strength. Didn't you notice how well his kept the clipboard balanced and didn't let it sag once? Also, I didn't see him get it hit out of his hand the way Trent has been having the football hit out of his hand lately.
  19. Great! So, he has an awesome game in a dome, then we're gonna have to hear all the crap about him not being able to play in bad weather. Can't wait...
  20. Coming from a JP supporter, I don't think this thread is as innocent as it seems. I thought we gave up on this a year ago? This thread's like a ninja, attacking when we least expect it.
  21. This thread sounds like an AA meeting. "My name is _______ and I too, am an alcoholic..."
  22. I originally thought this was a quote from Peters about his agent. Silly me.
  23. Peters should fire his current agent and hire Evan's agent. He should then not say a peep until the season is over. Do you think there is any reason to believe he is still injured and this is why his play is so poor? Do you want to sign someone like this?
  24. Well, that's about all they were, big names. The players on those teams were unbelievably great, but unfortunately, so were their egos. When the going got tough though, they couldn't get it done. But as individuals, no one was better or more dominant as Bruce. However, our current team does not have the egos, at least not yet. And I think this is one of the reasons why were are winning the 4th quarter battles. This is why this team, maybe not this year, will likely go farther.
  25. Wasn't it Donahoe that cut him? Another jerk move.
