This question is all over the place...I don't want to spend more than $1099 on a notebook....
My primary usues will be for grad school work (MBA in IT), music, movies, TBD posts, some games not a ton...
From what I can tell the Bus Speed is much better on the AMD's although the L2 cache is better on the Core 2's....
I hate waiting for aplications to open and I frequently have many items open on the desktop at once....
so here's the question AMD Turion x 2 or Intel Core 2 Duo?
I am looking at HP's (wouldn't mind a Viao - That's what my desktop is- but they are $$$...I like the 17" screens but would settle for a 15.4"
anyone do any research between the brands lately?

True, which is why I said I bought 5 - 2 are season tickets, which were then sold on eBay (to a TSWer?) and 3 more were purchased last week from the Bills. The upper deck seats are ~$60 ea. from Ticketmaster (after all associated fees), so i do understand that they're considerably more expensive.
Hows the view from 203??? Thats the section I bought on Ebay today (row 8)
So I don't get flamed for buying ebay tix...I bought 2 tix last week from Ticketmaster...I didn't plan on giong sunday...they were cheap and I figured what the hell...seeing I'm going the 17th to see the 'Phins at full price too
(coincidently the 17th is TKO's 30th Bday)

I'm imprssed with the fact that we sold out 27 of 28 games, especially with the team that was on the field last season...I remember when Rich Stadium was one of the most hostile places for a team to go play in; even more so that Arrowhead..with as cruddy as KC has been at times...that place is still known as a tough environment for a team to win on the road..what the hell happened to us...its kinda sad...I understand during the 3-13 yr; things are looking up though...fair weather fans....
I can agree that too many people are bombed even before the stadium opens...and there are more than enough fights....I've seen them right next to me...but we are not the only stadium that has that

BILLS ON NFL REPLAY: As some of you predicted the Bills last second win over the Jaguars will be on the NFL Network's, NFL Replay on Wednesday night at 10:30. It might not be a 90 minute version of the game however, because it looks like they're combining it with the San Fran vs. St. Louis game that went down to the wire.
Thats !@#$ up splitting the game with the 49ers....I'm still pissed that the game against the Texans wasn't on NFL Replay, but the cruddy raider Cheifs game was...

Don't knock the $60 ebay tix...I got mine today for sunday's game...Last week I spent full price from the Bills...at $128...Today there were 2 tix in section 203 row 8...they were 29.99 for both and I said what the hell why not...
I was the only bidder until 45 seconds left and the !@#$er bidding against me drove it to $56...the Dickhead....
I was dissappointed with the turnout for the Jags game...at 1030 the lots were empty...after the win sunday I am very surpirsed that this game isn't selling out...the Phins tix seem to be going there are no lower levels left..Obviously the Titans game is a no go on Christmas eve, unless the Bills are 9-6 at that point
Last year they sold old every game and they sucked and had nothing going for them...we finally seem to be getting things turned around and now they can't sell out...this does not help the Bills case when Ralph finally leaves us....

I did not plan on going to the Chargers game on Sunday, however I enjoyed the game so much, and got two tix in Section 203 for $56.00 on Ebay - How can you beat that?, I figured what the hell...
I dunno how this one will turn out...I know the fans that do go will be in at at the beginning of the game...just don't know for how long....
besides...I like football better when its snowy

seeing there haven't been many blackouts lately I'm slightly outta practice...WTVH (Syracuse CBS) used to black them out, which was a reason for my switch to DTV in 2002 and I haven't had 1 game blacked out on DTV yet...so it was natural for me to set it up for Sunday Ticket...for some reason apparently WTVH now shows the games...my parents and uncles said they were surprised to see it on tv here seeing that it wasn't sold out...
I'll know for sure this sunday, I don't plan on going to this game...and it is gonna be tough for them to sell out....by 1pm Thursday

DTV can not show the NFL game if local affiliate is showing it however it seems when the game is HD and you have superfan than you get the HD broadcast on the NFL ST side. This is the dumbest rule but forced by local affiliates who figured we would miss their commercials if we watched the ST broadcast. This is the same insanity with local affiliates that prohibits east/west coast feeds of major networks.
So for an xtra $100 on top of the $200 I already plunk down? I might as well get season tix and swtich to my antenna for the remaining 8 games...
Are the local affiliates that angry that I miss 10,000,000,000 Billy Fuccillo commercials?
Not to mention...my CBS station signed a waiver so I can get CBS East/West...Like the Bills will ever be on the NY & LA channels...

A couple years ago, Mrs. Rock was thinking of coming to the TBD opener with me and Babyrock.
The she started talking about "why were we going up Saturday, and why were we sleeping in a tent on the ground, and were there any malls around there..."
I interrupted her at that point and just said, "Nevermind, you are not going."
She does come to games on other days and we pick up freebies and get into contests for free t-shirts on Abbott Rd, and she checks out the store (I give her HER ticket when she goes in the store in case she zombies out), and we have fun doing other stuff - but NOT at the TBD opener!
This was definately a lesson learned...If I turned her loose in the store alone, I would be broke...because she wanted every goddam thing in there...seeing she was pissed that her 'pink' jersey was sold out, she said that she would order most of the stuff she wants online , so going forward I hope that this is no longer an issue...
We are planning to go to the Phins game on the 17th..Just have to buy tix...this time no excuses for not making it to see everyone

I went to the game yesterday and as I always do, I set my DirecTV Tivo up to record the game...this was I can see the crappy calls made by the Refs
Anyways I got home after the game and found that it was blacked out, seeing that utica is what 180-200 Miles from Buffalo; I kinda sorta figured that the 75 mile radius rule got tossed out of the window...
I just got off the phone with DTV and they stated that it was blacked out becuase my local CBS affiliate was showing the game (WTVH in Syracuse) and they are prhobited from showing a game if your local affiliate is showing the game. This surprised me for a couple of reasons, I recall WTVH being affected by the black out rule, again a crock of sh*t beacuse 'Cuse is what 120-160 miles from Buffalo, which is one reason I switched to DTV 4 yrs ago. Also that I have received all Bills games on Sunday ticket and the games were indeed broadcast on WTVH / WFXV (Fox); I asked the lady if she could double check that, without mentioning that they come in on my local affiliate - I would not like the surprise of having all Bills games blacked out on Sunday Ticket; then it would be a waste of $200. She double checked and read me the regulation that states this is true....and that is why it was blacked out in Utica...What Crap!!!

seeing everyone already mentioned the worst NFL ones...almost everyone on Fox sucks, Collinsworth has always hated on the Bills...so I hate him, Madden is obnoxious and dumb, Thiesmann - ughhh
the 2 worst announcers period....are Joe Buck and Tim McCarver (When Deon played for the Braves he dumped cold water on him - that was the best); I am a Yankees fan...enough said...they are horrible and I cringe when I have to listen to them...
