  1. I love how people are so obsessed with his character that they ignore that we just dropped 75 million on an offensive line and don't have a back to run behind it.
  2. Actually, the reports have all been that the players like Willis. There were plenty of interviews with guys talking out about how much they admired his willingness to play through pain and injury this season. None of the Bills questioned his heart/toughness. To me, that's a form of leadership.
  3. If the rest of the team was solid I could see looking to upgrade WM or move him due to character concerns etc. However, the Bills have too many holes to intentionally go and CREATE another one by trading a quality starting RB. Deal with the holes you have before making new ones, imho.
  4. McNabb is overrated. I prefer QBs in good enough condition to finish a superbowl game.
  5. Jones-Drew Height: 5-7 Weight: 212 Addai Height: 5-11 Weight: 214 Just thought I'd point out that Addai isn't much smaller than the 5'7 Drew. It's just that Maurice is such a hard runner he appears bigger than he is. Talk about a low centre of gravity for 212 lbs. =p
  6. Willis is good enough at RB to win a superbowl with. However, NO rb is good enough to CARRY a team to the superbowl. see: Ladanian Tomlinson, Barry Sanders, et al.
  7. The easiest job in the world is to spend your life criticizing what other people do for a living, and how they do it. I have no respect for media types. I know I wouldn't want my whole life to be based around other people's accomplishments.
  8. If it wasn't for Canadians you'd probably sit at home watching 16 blacked out games a year instead of 4. Stuff it, asswipe. If you want the Bills in Buffalo, work out a deal with the border that gets you quicker crossing if you have valid Bills tickets to show (there and back) Also, get a new freaking stadium (the Ralph is a joke), and make the cheap-ass fans pay regular prices to watch a game.
  9. I'd take Payton. He was my pick before the season, he goes on to win coach of the year...I think that justifies him remaining as my top pick out of the group that was available. 3-13 team to conference championships? Sorry, results talk.
  10. You dont want any canadians coming to bills games? I hope you want to see even MORE blackouts... Willis might actually be smarter than you think. The Bills in Toronto and you guys MIGHT actually be able to attend a game or to. A few more years in Buffalo and they'll probably end up in LA or Vegas. Good luck going to games there.
  11. With fans like this, you wonder why anyone would want to leave Buffalo.l
  12. And you guys thought he was stupid...he knows the team would be better off up here. Maybe I'm just biased because it's a shorter drive, hahah.
  13. shut up already, it won't happen.
  14. everyone looking at skill position changes is ahead of themselves and wrapped up int he glory positions. The only thing that should be focused on right now is the trenches. Once our OL and DL are up to snuff, THEN we'll be able to see what our skill position players are -really- capable of. Until then, pointless. Look at Edgerrin in Arizona, or even Tomlinson when Sd had a bad line (like 3.7 ypc).
  15. Every quote from a Bills player sticks up for Willis. They seem to love him, that's good enough for me. I certainly trust their opinions more than any fan.
  16. So you're saying you haven't ever dreamed of doing something other than your current job? !@#$ing idiots.
  17. You guys are complete idiots. How about instead of creating holes in areas we are strong at, we stay strong in those spots and simply look at upgrading elsewhere? If you simply create more holes to plug other ones, you'll still sink. Durrrrr. Willis is a good back. He's a tough back. He's learned to protect the passer. He's improving catching out of the backfield. He doesn't fumble. He -has- shown more breakaway speed this year. Throwing him away to gamble on a OL is a dumb idea. Shows why you're fans, not NFL GMs.
  18. While we disagree on a lot, I DO agree that another RB would be a blessing. Travis AND Willis would have been an awesome duo. You can see that the coaching staff for some reason lost confidence in the A-Train, he stopped getting carries even though Willis was fighting through injuries and flu blugs. Also, makes me question the decision to drop Lionel Gates..I really liked how that kid ran the ball.
  19. #1 overall picks are overrated. They are hit and miss, and you're stuck with a MASSIVE contract on an unproven player.
  20. This is getting pathetic. If WM was on the other side of the ball against our D-line, you'd all be salivating over the thought of having him here as he gashed the hell out of us. What a sorry bunch of grass is greener fans, no wonder you blackout every week and the team is going to end up in a city with better people to support it.
  21. This board is so full of hypocrisy. Henry supporters give McGahee no credit for his games against the Jets because he has a reason to be motivated, and yet when TH shows up motivated against the team he feels kicked him in the groin, they act like it's how he always runs. They also ignore the benefit of having a QB like Vince Young drawing attention from the MLB and spreading defenses every time he fakes a bootleg on a run play. Not to mention, the players are running behind different OLs. It's a pretty common trend that Willis runs well vs teams with smaller fronts that the Bills line can match up with, but struggles vs teams whose fronts are strong enough to dominate ours. The truth is, that the one season both players were here with the SAME QB and SAME OL, Willis was by FAR the better back. What's happening now involves so many outside factors it's difficult to judge who is playing better football.
  22. The point was to show that stats mean crap for a RB, it's how they run that matters. It's not comparing LT to Willis, it's saying if the best RB in football can average under 4.0 YPC, anyone can. Evidence that there are a ton of factors that go in to RB stats, other than the back himself. Look at Travis, he didn't do crap before Vince Young showed up to spread defenses and occupy an extra player to spy him.
  23. This was a close game, that was decided - as most NFL games are - in the trenches. We're just not good enough on either line.
  24. 2001 San Diego Chargers 339 carries 1236 yards 3.6 YPC 2004 San Diego Chargers 339 carries 1335 yards 3.9 YPC Would you run THAT RB out of town for averaging under 4 YPC? I'm sure you'd be seen as a genius for chasing Ladainian Tomlinson out of San Diego. Some people simply don't get this game, and they happen to be the loudest. It's sort of pathetic.
