  1. Why don't we just acknowledge the fact that some of us are going to be pissed no matter what happens and instead of guessing ahead of time, just wait and see? Or does that take all the fun out of it?
  2. What nobody has mentioned is the following. What if we think none of these guys is our franchise QB. We decide to go with the an OT or LB in our first pick, and I would imagine we pick up a QB maybe in the 3rd round. Assuming there is football next year, what QBs look like they are coming out that WOULD be a franchise pick next year?
  3. The problem with that outlook is that you will NEVER get everyone on this board to agree if X quarterback is the franchise QB we need. Some people are going to be pissed no matter who we take. I agree we need a QB, and I agree we need some help on the line (though I think we are relatively close there--probably a solid LT and some depth away).
  4. rstencel, I would much rather keep Levitre at LG and let him develop there. That was where he was drafted for, its his natural position. He did alright filling in in an emergency at LT, but I don't think the Bills want him starting there. I would like to see the Bills draft MLB, LT, QB as their first 3 picks (switching the first two as the players available dictates). That would make our line: Pick/Bell, Levitre, Wood/Hang, Incognito, Butler. I think most of us could live with that.
  5. I would be surprised to see a move to the 3-4 for a couple reasons. One, with the uncapped year coming, FAs are going to be fewer/harder to come by. Also, remember Nix's initial comments when he was hired? He wants to build a team through the draft, not through big splashy FA signings. Stay with the 4-3. We need another DE to fit in the rotation (depending on Schobel), a middle/outside LB and could always use another DT for depth.
  6. Doc, that is my same sentiment. How much would it cost to have Icognito around for another year? Does someone who watches the OL on tape think it would be worthwhile? Having Levitre, Wood, Icognito be the middle three with Hang as the primary backup doesn't sound half bad to me. Butler at RT and all we need to find is a LT assuming Bell is not who we want starting (though he is fine as a backup)
  7. Personally, B Schott sounds like the better choice to me (not knowing anything about how they interview or what they might say in it). We get an OC from the AFC East who has had to gameplan against NE, MIA, and us (helping find weaknesses on our D means he can help fix them). Add in his father is at the very least a sounding board, and I would be ok with that. Would be interesting to see who he would bring in as DC
  8. It makes sense. We are pretty sure Fewell isn't coming back, so this gives whoever the new coach is the option of hiring or not instead of firing or not.
  9. Dellapelle, do you seriously just post to post? According to you, shouldn't we be signing Bill Cowher on Tuesday? I have seen you advocate for a first round QB, a first round O-line, and a first round D-line in various threads. Please, pick something and be somewhat consistent about it. I understand people change their minds, but not every day in every thread...
  10. A one game suspension is crap. This should be 3 at least for a completely blatant illegal hit with absolutely no excuse. Until these players are made to pay and pay hard, this will not stop. Fines do so little, who the crap cares if a guy has to pay 50,000 if they are making 5 million a year?
  11. Why does everyone want to trade Lynch? He is younger than Jackson, and probably has a better future in front of him. I would trade Jackson first, but I would much much rather hang on to both of them
  12. Thats the second first down catch TO has dropped. Seriously, come on man.
  13. I am fine with all of those except trading Marshawn. Any team worth its salt right now has 2 running backs who know what they are doing. Plus Jackson is what, 30? He won't be running for a lot longer. TO and Parrish, absolutely trade away.
  14. Pats- they have kicked our a$$ ever since I have really been paying attention Cowboys- because Dolphins- because
  15. Of course the Saints couldn't be visiting in late Nov. or Dec. when the weather could really affect them. Nope, they get a game against us nice and early in the year....
  16. The defense consistently sending only 4 people and DB's playing 7 yards off receivers on 3rd and 4 is what led to the TOP disparity. Not our no-huddle offense.
  17. Someone tell me why the no-huddle hurts our time of possession if the Bills don't actually snap the ball until 2-6 seconds before they must (like they did many times last night)...just like they would if they huddled? Isn't one of the major points of the no-huddle to give Trent time to get a read on the defense and be able to change into the play he wants. If the bills line up but don't actually snap the ball until say 4 seconds left, how is that different than coming out of the huddle and snapping with 4 seconds left??
  18. and the bills we all love/hate show up at the end, just like always. Why in the world was my dad from WNY? why?
  19. We might be saying the same thing soon Doc
  20. any word on paul?
  21. They need to run that play again, that looked really good. Plus Mayo is down.
  22. I will probably wander down for some games on a Sunday. I am up in Saratoga, and this area sucks for getting Bills games.
  23. According to BuffaloRumblings, Langston Walker has been released....better hope Bell is as good as we all really hope he is.
  24. It won't matter until Jauron is gone. There is still a conservative ninny as head coach.
  25. All the more reason to put in a rookie salary scale so teams can actually have these players for a couple years and see how they do before paying out the mega bucks.
