  1. looks like he posted this just about the same time the Peters trade was reported...shame he didnt wait an hour
  2. I dont think it will happen but I remember hearing someone say recently that they thought Curry could drop
  3. that might have been Hardy's cap number but that was not his salary....second round picks do not make 2.5 mil in their first as their salary Jackson will obviously be signed at some point, its April people need to relax
  4. I dont know what language that is but I think you said Westbrook was a 5th which is not correct, he was a 3rd...they also took DeSean Jackson in the second last year and Reggie Brown in the second or third a few years ago i also think the Eagles are going all out this year and are going to get Boldin as well...they have the picks and the money and McNabb only has a few years left so why not Peters and Boldin for two 1st's, a 3rd, a 4th and a conditional 6th...sounds too good to be true for Eagles fans
  5. he is an excellent receiver out of the backfield and is solid in pass protection as well....he also happened to rush for over 100 yards and scored a TD in the super bowl against what was thought to be a pretty good Bears defense
  6. I dont know what Kelsays number is for next year but Im sure its too high for anyone to take on...my guess is he gets cut shortly after the draft
  7. if this is true its an excellent move...Rhodes played well last year in a backup role behind a beat up O-line and in reality played just as good or better then Addai which is why Im surprised Indy would let him walk Rhodes is also an outstanding receiver out of the backfield I cant believe I've applauded this organization twice in one day...whats next, they sign another LB?
  8. the Bills are not in a position to make a trade like that....if they were one or two players away maybe but this team cant afford to essentially trading Peters and their #1 pick for a LB they will have to pay a ton of money to
  9. i was listening to Sal Pal on the radio here in Philly on the way home and he said the Eagles are still in the hunt for Boldin even with the trade for Peters but if they keep the 21st pick expect them to go with Pettigrew TE or Moreno RB
  10. he makes what, just over a mil a year? his salary is more as a punt returner then as a receiver and he is worth every penny that would be a horrible trade
  11. I dont agree with the thinking that they need to spend their first round picks on DB's as much as they do...teams find quality DB's after the first round every year and thats where the Bills should be looking....they need to start using their first round picks on Lineman and LB's their thinking is backwards, instead of drafting from the trenches out they draft from the secondary in and it clearly hasnt worked
  12. with the exception of Pat Williams who have the Bills not resigned that they should have? Clements, Winfield? Neither was worth what they got paying Peters what he wanted would have been a mistake for this franchise so the only solution was to trade him...if they can get Oher or another LT with one of their first round picks and possibly take one of the Centers, best DE's available or TE with their other then they can go in a number of directions with their second round pick the Bills are in position to fill holes with players that should be able to step right in, the concern is will they make the right selections
  13. i am all for this trade
  14. I'm now finally excited about this draft if Oher is there at 11 its a no brainer...he could step right in and play just as good and most likely better then Peters played last year which actually shouldnt be that hard they could then take the best DE left on the board at 28 or maybe even Pettigrew if he somehow dropped that far, doubtful but you never know
  15. If Oher is there he should be the pick...will step right in and most likely play better then Peters did last year they could still get a DE with the 28th pick
  16. the line wasnt that great last year either if Oher somehow makes it to 11 its a no brainer tot ake him
  17. not to defend the current regime as I dont like them at all but its not much different now then when TD was running the show either TD was an overrated ego maniac and the guys that replaced him are non-qualified yes men not drafting any 0-lineman on the first day for this long is a joke
  18. i do agree having a defense full of good players will make any scheme look good but you cant say the scheme doesnt matter Jaurons scheme almost always has the CB's about 10 yards off the line of scrimmage and will always give up the quick slants if its executed properly no matter how good the CB's are...teams know its always there thats why they always call slants against the Bills on key plays and the good teams execute and keep drives going
  19. the Tamp / Cover 2 is a wuss defense that is the definition of coaching not to lose...it counts on the offense not being able to put consistant drives togther which might work against bad teams but we all know what happens when they face a good offense like the Pats yes the Colts won the super bowl with it but they play a more aggressive style when Bob Sanders is in the lineup then when he isnt and its not like their defense is why they won since they ranked near the bottom of the league all year long and just happened to have one of the best offenses of the past decade...the Colts probably would have won a few more super bowls with a better defense the Bucs won it with an all around good defense with solid players at each position and a better then average defensive line but its no coincidence that they didnt win the super bowl until they got more production out of their offense the fact is its not an aggressive defense and when you look at most of the super bowl champs they usually play more aggressive on defense and dont just sit back in a cover 2
  20. he stated this is the first of 3 mock drafts and is based more on his top 32 players rather then team needs and where he thinks players will actually go i find it hard to believe he doesnt have Everette Brown in his top 32
  21. so you would rather trade Peters for a retired Guard and a TE that has maybe 2 years left instead of to Philly for a first and possibly a third....yeah that makes sense why dont the Bills just trade him to Dallas for Hershel Walker just when you think the trade proposals cant get anymore ridiculous you read something like this
  22. wouldnt a guy with "unreal ball hawking instincts" have more then 4 career interceptions? Greer is a nice player but he is not a shutdown corner and was overpaid by a desperate team
  23. Maybin and Smith are the last guys I want the Bills to take I really like Ayers and Oher but not as high on Jackson
