  1. Oh yeh, forgot about that clause, hmm.
  2. Then how else does the government justify regulating gun ownership, even for felons?
  3. Aah Jeez and we used to call WTOP, WGOP...P.S. I can hear it when it is cloudy or raining up in Western, MA. The wonders of AM radio.
  4. Sorry, is it optional? I still want to check that, thought it was made mandatory...because of all the looney's making threats against all of them. Second Amendment A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. The "well reglulated" part allowing for the government intrusion.
  5. Good one, but seriously, GG asked the question not me. I just try to go with the flow, but to be accurate it is ADD boy.
  6. They and a majority of Dems caved with lame excuses...stepped aside, nice pretty language, still they caved. Read Bloomberg, Reid was as mealy mouthed as I have ever heard him. http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=100...=top_world_news
  7. Was wondering when libertarians and fiscal conservatives would actually start balking at the religious "socialist" agenda of the ultra right wing. Church groups have historically through the middle ages and before wanted purse strings to control political agendas, no suprise there, just that business types would stand for it for this long suprised me, guess all those tax cuts got them to giddy and they ignored the spending side of things, hmm!
  8. Hall of Stupidity, and I support ownership of guns! Don't like the NRA political teeth knashing on the subject, and under the Consitution states have the right to regulate ownership, heck they and the feds already do, it is a crime for felons to own guns. But people should still be able to own guns and follow the rules. This poster takes it to another level., Where is Crap Throwing Monkey with an appropriate response when you need one. P.S. Former President's under the law are required to have a secret servies security detachment, get over it. Unless this guy is a convicted felon and should be investigated by big government.
  9. Sorry, that part I understood, don't know...if they all fly jet blue and stay at an econo lodge, I might go for it. See how the other half lives, might be valuable. Otherwise, the $5 million dollar tour your right is probably a waste of time. A quick flyover in a barebones C-130 would probably work instead. Too noisy for any of them to talk!
  10. Interesting thought, with a little elbow grease, it could be arranged. Question, do it in Washington, DC or say is somewhere like Chicago or St. Louis?
  11. Yeh that Senate caved, Dems couldn't get over the fact that Republicans would probably run ads against them stating that they weren't protecting the U.S. and that they fixed the freedom issue, which they didn't. No big suprise there. Emirates Air allowed to fly into U.S. airspace, what is the problem there?
  12. The legislation as I understand, currently prevents critical infrastructure to be owned by a foreign government. Duncan Hunter R-CA proposed it. Does that force divestiture and how would that work? What is interesting is the Appropriations Chairman Jerry Lewis is going to attach to it to the "Supplemental Iraq spending bill (meaning they are using Enron accounting methods)" Once attached, it will be difficult to remove and new House Majority Leader with the support of Speaker Hastert don't plan to remove it, putting the White House in a bind and probably forcing the Senate to consider it.
  13. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/conte...tml?sub=AR' Sounds like the House leadership is not waiting for the 45 days and are ducking for cover before the election. Port Deal must be getting a lot of traction back home as more details about Dubai and what actually gets checked in cargo before and after. History Channel ran a piece last night talking about port vulnerabilities and high seas piracy, as well as Al-Qaeda operatives caught in training excercises.
  14. Man, with all this whining you would think the Dems are bacck. Please, take responsibility, the Republicans from day 1 have tried to shove this one under the rug, they only spend time there when the noise from NO get to loud to ignore. If the GOP did a little more hand holding like they do with Pat Robertson types, also a pain in the ..., and gotten the resulting positive P.R. from showing up, they could coopt half of all the complainers who just want an excuse to believe all the lies that you tell them, like they are going to be taken care of. Since you haven't even bothered to be consistently showing up down there in that devastation, reap what you sow and stop blaming Hillary, there is such a waste of words, at least she would suit up and show. There is one woman who knows how to put her pants on, one leg at a time. Bush on the other hand, has to have his mother zip up his fly. Get over it.
  15. Condi Rice has it, we noticed it during the hearing before the 9/11 commission. Her upper body stayed still while she testified. The table drapery she sat at covered 3 sides, but as you can see from the photos on my webpage, the angle I was at showed her legs and they were moving the whole time. Interesting, so if her are legs are still at the next hearing, is she on drugs? Link: http://www.afischerphotography.com/news0007.html
  16. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/conte...6030601611.html Norm Orenstein writes about the ramifications of a part-time Congress, which he argues that we currently have. He says that it causes more problems than fixes. What do folks here think?
  17. Not going down that road, I am neither God, nor a doctor. Can't judge, my attitude is if all women want to get together an outlaw abortions that is fine by me, in lieu of that I want it safe, legal but very rare. I do not want to go back to a lot of botched back alley abortions. From a political standpoint this should get interesting really fast..??? another Carl Rove plot right before a critical election? Could be... especially if the SCOTUS rules right before the election or plans to rule anywhere near it, and if so, how does the affect the election, could be a wash. Will it gin up the right wing to turn out, a big concern for the GOP now?
  18. Article was in the NY Post, nuff said...makes the Washington Times look liberal. Kinda like listening to Al Franken on the other side...that good enough for your and do you need me throw in some size 33s and makeup?
  19. Oh there is always some idiot, including this teacher willing to go to far, however if you/he are posing your rhetoric/question as an arguement with their knowledeg that in asking the students need to debunk it, I could see it as a provoking challenge for the students. Would prefer the teacher chose a different subject, but from a civil rights and humanitarian, as well if you felt inclined from a religious stand point, you could easily make some meaningful counter arguements. That was if your post was serious? Heck I had a sociology teacher who used to start off his class with a line about everyone coming into this world as a balling, puking brat, wet both ends want nothing more than to be held and suckle your mother's nipple. Now look at you...don't remember the rest. So all you puritanical tight wads, get laid or give it up and go so "Broke Back Mountain."
  20. That I agree with, but the comedy of it is that he had a list under his own House stationery, how stupid can you be! Also, I have seen a number of vehicles in the Amhest, MA area running on vegetable oil. Interesting idea, don't know the economics of it, but interesting power wise. But the cow manure issue, minus the smell is not a bad deal.
  21. 100 months to be exact, you going to the government auction? Here it is going to be out here. Some interesting stuff? Still interesting you brought up Cow crap and Cunningham in the same post...appropriate!
  22. Just like where does the federal government have the right to tax...article one, section 8, don't have it in front of me right now, but it says something like the ability to levee such funds as necessary to provide for common defense and other purposes...
  23. This probably one of the few subject that libertarians, liberals and moderate or fiscally conservative folks can agree on. Keep the state out my Religion. I was born fine the first time, why question God's work?
  24. Hey I married one and converted her to the light. One of the only ways I got to screw a Republican the last 12 years. P.S. We knew Newt was having fun with Calista when he was married, had too big a pearl ring on her finger. Funny part was that the Bisek was written up in Roll Call as being handsome in a capital hill sort of way. Ultimate diss that I have ever seen written. She actually is a very nice person, obviously with an Agenda, but still very gracious.
  25. Common, I worked for Clinton...cigars baby, cigars and big titted fat broads. What is wrong with you.
