Our left side is now one of the best in football
Sketch Soland replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is the million dollar question, imo. I have the feeling the Bills think he is a RT, considering the money they paid for him, etc. as I said in my last post. I do see your point, though, so it will be interesting to see what happens by September. The comments i have heard from one bills drive have all emphasized that he moves well for a huge man, which leads me to believe that they think he can play RT. And at 6'8", he is tall for a guard, although, granted, dockery is 6'6". We'll see.... -
Just a little tidbit on Langston walker

LOL You're going to have to do better than that, troll, to get me to take the bait. That was a poor excuse for a Chicken Little Crackhead post. And nodnarb hit all the salient serious response points anyway, so I will defer to his post -

For the money that they paid him, i am confident that they will install him in RT. Yes, I realize we paid Dockery more to play Left Guard but that is just more reason we wouldn't dump another big contract into RG, especially when Tackle is the more important position, in general, and Pennington has obviously not put a clamp down on RT like Peters has at LT. I expect they want RG to be a dog fight and may the best man win between Merz and Preston, with Whittle acting as a stop gap starter if these two do not show enough to win the job. This is not to say that it is outside the realm of possibility that Pennington could continue to improve and assume the RT spot outright and walker could play RG but I just don't see that as likely considering the huge contract they dropped on him. The fact that walker has played both, though, is certainly a plus and does give us some flexibility if necessary, which is nice. Of course, they may draft a Guard who will step in, but, looking at the Oline roster at the moment, there really isn't that much more room for more players, considering that Merz, Pennington, and Butler are Marv picks last year and are going to be given their chance to earn their roster spots, Whittle is obviously the versatile Veteran Backup, and Preston is young enough and has enough experience to at least give him a shot to take a step forward. That's five backups right there, which is already pushing the roster spots for OL. -
Are we now playoff bound team?
Sketch Soland replied to Oneonta Buffalo Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We don't know if McCargo is useless, obviously. Replacing Fletcher and thus reshuffling the LB core is still a question mark. Tripplet is a 3 Tech. We obviously need a capable 1 tech run stuffer type. Kyle Williams probably is not that answer, although it is a possibility as he gets stronger and gains more experience. McCargo could possibly play 1 tech. But yes, DT is still a big question mark. Are we a playoff team right now? No, but it is March 3. we may be a playoff team at the end of December. We'll have to wait and see how the other questions marks in certain positions are addressed and how certain younger players develop. -

They are not nearly as talented as you are in the deparment though At least you exude some flair in your trollishness. Most of these crackheads wouldn't recognize clever if it smacked them over the head with a rubber hose.

And your point is what..... that: Langston Walker is a useless sack of schit because you say so? and/or That any "reasoning" as to why a team's O-Line played poorly is merely an "excuse" and should not be considered in discussing a new player's potential strengths/weaknesses/future contribution to a team because this rational approach subordinates blanket generalizations and snap judgments in favor of reasoned examining of the issue from several perspectives? and/or That I don't know that the Bills have had in general subpar O-Lines over the last ten years? and/or That you are a grade A Mr. Smarty Pants and I have been pwned by your turning of the tables on me? and/or Why won't I tell you the information I've gleamed from being in a mind meld for ten years with the Bills O-Line coaches? -

Good post. That is interesting about the anachronistic blocking scheme. That would certainly help explain a poor O-Line in general. -

I am very excited about the Peters-Dockery combo. Both young guys, emerging, they certainly have all the potential in the world to be one of the best guard-tackle combos in the league in the future. -
Great post, imo.

ATTN: CHICKEN LITTLE CRACKHEAD BRIGADE YOU DO NOT KNOW MORE THAN A PROFESSIONAL STAFF OF A PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL TEAM. I DON'T CARE HOW MIND NUMBINGLY ADEPT YOU ARE WITH YOUR TIVO REMOTE AND HOW WELL YOU CAN PAUSE ON THE EXACT RIGHT MOMENT DURING 4X FAST FORWARD. YOU MUST THINK THE BUFFALO BILLS STAFF OF SCOUTS AND COACHES JUST GRADUATED FROM A HOOKED ON PHONICS READING PROGRAM IF YOU THINK THEY WOULD THROW 25 MILLION DOLLARS AT A PLAYER FOR NO GOOD REASON AND WITHOUT SIGNIFICANT AND EXHAUSTIVE RESEARCH. YOU ARE ALSO THE SAME RETARDS WHO BITCHED FOR A MONTH ABOUT "CASH TO THE CAP" AND HOW WE WEREN'T GOING TO THROW MONEY AT ANY PLAYERS BECAUSE RALPH IS A CHEAPSKATE. SO STFU AND WAIT TO SEE THE MAN ACTUALLY PERFORM IN A NEW SYSTEM, WITH NEW COACHES, AND NEW TEAMMATES. I WOULD LIKE TO STOP HOLDING DOWN THE SHIFT BUTTON FOR THE CAPS AS WELL SO JUST INDULGE ME, THANKS. -
