  1. is it too much to ask for a little verbal eloquence and articulate s*it-talking out of the trolls? can't they send their marginally competent windbags over here?
  2. I'm drawing up a diagram of Vince Young ensnared in a Cover 2 Cat's Cradle as we speak. Does anyone have fewell's email?
  3. hell that's timmy anderson's regular MO on taking down a running back anyway, except it seems like he assumes that he exudes some uberphermonic "the power of the buckeye compells you" kind of essence
  4. when tony romo can make the pro bowl as a QB the system has too many spots available. there was only one NFC QB pro bowl worthy this year and we all know who that is
  5. The question is: does the Jags D match up better agaisnt the Titans O than our D does? I'd say yes, not only because overall the jags have a much better defense, but also because the strength of our Defense plays against the weakness of the Titans O (i.e. Bills Pass D vs. Titans pass O). If our strength was run D, our defense would match up much better against their offense. This seems to be the Bills Daily's point. So, the secondary question then becomes: will our strength be so overwhelming over their weakness to overcome our relative weakness to their strength (i.e. our run D versus their run O)? That is the crux, as Young himself being a running quarterback not only offers the "Michael Vick" problem of a running QB but also the possibility of big "pass" plays happening when Young scrambles and pass protection breaks down. This could result in a long 'flukey' pass play when up to that point in the game they had been completely ineffective in consistently moving the chains throwing the ball. And we all know how such big plays can swing the momentum and eventual outcome of the game. So we shouldn't underestimate Young's passing ability simply because he's not able to consistenly move the chains with pinpoint passing precision ala Palmer or Manning etc. While they're offense certainly doesn't sport the efficiency or yardage of a high-powered offense, they certainly possess enough variables between Young and Henry to be wary of. This all being said, I don't see them putting up 27 points, and I don't see us only scoring 13 against a weak Titans D. This game will, however, show how much our front 7 has improved about staying in their respective lanes and plugging their gaps so that Young can't break containment and wreak havoc. That is key, not only to stop Henry but also so that we can keep Young under control.
  6. This is my first post, my fellow two billsdrive compatriots, but here is the point I offer you: We welcome the Tennessee Titans into Orchard Park the following week. This is a huge deal, for one. My beer to the left of me tells me that Vince Young has never played in front of 73 THOUSAND !@#$ING BLUE COLLAR SCREAMING !@#$S! But maybe that's just me... I could just be drunk on the fact that this team finally has a QB that they can get behind................. But a 145.2 QB rating versus a...................... 0.0 QB rating give me pause... I digress, but.... Okay, here's the skinny: Welcome to STOP TRAVIS HENRY world. This is the key. Without TH, the TN titans have no offense. I think a saavy watcher of the NFL will concur with said statement. So, my prescription for the win follows: 1) Travis Henry is not a God. Did we just watch the jaguars do what they did? Yes, he was injured. We all know a healthy TH is trouble.... but..... (Deluca.... YOU SUCK YOU !@#$!) 2) Yes, our Run D has sucked, but vis a vis the last two weeks? We made Sammy Morris look like the B word that you told to !@#$ off after that first night..... (yes Sammy Morris ran over us in the 1st quarter.... and your point....?) This is the real conundrum, my brothers.... Can we stop Vince Young and our tragically forgotten friend Travis Henry..... I am here to tell you !@#$ YES>>>>>>> WHY? I'm glad you asked. If I'm not completely retarded, I believe this game against the titans is at home. And tell me you stupid !@#$ing pessimistic !@#$s, how well has the '06 Bills team done at home in December? Welcome to Greatness, My Friends..... Welcome to the Fundamental Belief..... NOBODY CIRCLES THE MOTHERFU*KING WAGONS LIKE THE MOTHERFU*KING BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MORAL OF THE STORY: Throw long early, run the ball often, recognize that parrish is NEVER going to do what he did in that punt return that i have hereby striken from the record (what punt return?) J.P. Losman has earned our respect. Give it to him, my brothers. Fondly, Kurt Schottin GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
