  1. CJ Spiller is pretty impressive though. 4.24 speed. In contrast...Don Beebe ran a 4.21 and Reggie Bush ran a 4.33 He's ridiculous. He's got good size and great hands. He would be a game breaker and help captain checkdown tremendously. That being said, the Bills cannot afford a miss at the number 9 pick. They better pick a sure fire player and he's not the Adrian Peterson of this draft.
  2. Is it worth taking the risk of drafting Dan Williams DT and hoping Davis falls to the second round?
  3. But they are amazing. They do just enough every year to sill out Rich Stadium. Enough to get us hooked. To give us optimism for the season. Enough to believe they've just turned the corner. By signing the Dwan Edwards and Andra Davis' of the world. Enough to make a move, to make us believe it was an amazing "Coup" to get such and such a player. Either they are great in marketing or we are just all fools....
  4. I think it's pretty amazing for a Buffalo Bills RB to get a 1000 yards in the last 3 years. No QB, no line and stinking inept coaches!
  5. You're right. But I doubt we can get even a 3rd rounder for him. That's why I think keeping him is the best move.
  6. If Eric Berry falls to #9 there will be many teams wanting to trade up. I hope that happens.
  7. I totally agree with you, but on swing passes, pitch outs, he's a beast.
  8. You can't trade the Beast! It just wouldn't be right. He's had his problems, but who didn't last year (except for a very rare few)? Beast Mode epitomizes the Buffalo Bills. Tough, rugged, not easily taken down, punishing. Build the lines and let him take a few opponents down!
  9. He has the chance to. We just won't know until the other stuff is fixed. Did everyone forget that his OC was changed the week before the season started? Who does that? That must have been the MOST IDIOTIC thing I have ever heard of. (It should have been a rumor - but with the Bills - it's reality!)
  10. Didn't he just get boob reduction surgery? Seriously athletic fat men are hard to come by, and Cody fits that Bill.
  11. Agreed. Don't reach for a QB that has mediocre talent. We already have one in TE, and he already has some real NFL experience. Even though he would be better as an arena football league QB, that's who we have. We should be better in the middle (hoping Eric Wood recovers completely) and will get by at RT. But there is a glaring hole at LT and we really need to fill that hole.
  12. Looks like the all combine team. Agree with the positions needed to draft. Except for Bradford it should be a OL, DL and OLB heavy draft. I hope they can accumulate more picks.
  13. Very thoughtful post. But Parcells builds his teams on defense and linemen. He won the Superbowl with Phil Simms. Got to the superbowl with Drew Bledsoe. Got the Jets winning with Vinnie Testaverde. All decent QB's but none stunning. He's being helped right now in Miami because the Bills have been so dysfunctional. Bill Polian drafted Peyton Manning. If any knowledgeable GM was given that opportunity, who wouldn't have done that? None of the QB's since 1988 (except maybe Tom Brady) are even near the talent of PM. Certainly none of the QB's this year can be mentioned with them. It would take the Bills tanking, knowing that the best QB in NFL history was going to be available to them during the draft to be able to make that type of move - and it ain't happening You are correct that the Bills mediocrity is killing the their rebuilding effort. Middle of the pack drafting, and draft busts have kept the Bills where they are today. I wouldn't necessarily blame it on the QB - even though they all suck.
  14. If he was so good, why did he not throw at the combine? If that is his makeup then it worries me. I know others passed, but they already had good grades. To me Lefevour had more to prove than all the rest. He has the stats, but in a weaker conference.
  15. http://www.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/1...t;entry20254918 Impressions from second QB-WR session -QB Report I just got back from the second (and final) throwing session of the Combine and I can tell you this... Oklahoma State's Zac Robinson will be rising up draft boards with his performance today. With highly touted passers Sam Bradford, Jimmy Clausen, Colt McCoy, Tim Tebow and Dan LeFevour all sitting out the throwing session, Robinson was among several passers who took advantage of the spotlight. Robinson showed good footwork and balance dropping back -- a question mark considering he's coming from a spread offense -- and was consistently accurate to all levels of the field. He zipped intermediate slants and dig routes and showed plenty of drive on the deep out. As a perfect example of why quarterbacks should throw at the Combine, Robinson scored points with scouts on the accuracy of his deep ball (good trajectory, outside shade) despite none of his deep passes actually being caught by his receivers. Arguably the second most impressive quarterback on this day was surprisingly Ole Miss' Jevan Snead. Snead was as accurate on this day as I've ever seen him -- hitting receivers in stride consistently and showing off his good arm strength. The problem with Snead is that he knows he has a good arm and he relies on it. He carries the ball a bit low and has a very quick release, but he rarely stepped into his throws today, relying almost exclusively on his arm. Snead has intriguing tools -- and he clearly helped his cause today by showing them -- but quarterback coaches I've spoken with in the past have pointed this out as an issue. Cincinnati's Tony Pike was inconsistent today. The opposite of Snead, Pike has steps into his throws and has a nice over-the-top delivery, which is enhanced by his 6-5, 243 pounds. However, he sprayed the ball today, especially when throwing outside the numbers. He got better as the day went on and didn't do anything to lower his stock, but he certainly didn't seize the opportunity, either. Under the radar quarterbacks Thaddeus Lewis (Duke), Riley Skinner (Wake Forest) and John Skelton (Fordham) showed why they are rated as they are. Lewis was inconsistent to most levels of the field, except on the deep ball - where his wounded ducks forced receivers to slow and, at times even stop their routes, to wait for the ball. Skelton was wildly erratic, especially early in the gauntlet drills. His high and wide throws consistently forced receivers to adjust, throwing off their balance and timing during drills.
  16. Contract clause that allows the whole team to give him titty twisters on a weekly basis, if he gets about 350.
  17. Best line on this board in a long time. We are proud. We stick with them. We die with them. Lost all respect for that loser with what he said. Hope he shows off his real GM skills. John Elway is why he gets the respect he does. We'll see what he really can do.
