  1. This. He's never coaching the Bills, so I couldn't care less.
  2. The case can be made that this move helps with regional marketing, but it's definitely not cronyism as Marrone was also drawing serious interest from both Philly and Cleveland.
  3. It is relative to what he inherited. The 'Cuse program was totally in shambles pre-Marrone, and that wasn't very long ago.
  4. Great move. This is the first time the Bills have ever excited me with a head coaching hire.
  5. ^Means nothing. They didn't run Spiller enough, which was the problem.
  6. Of the people they're interested in, just Whisenhunt. I'd be fine with Kelly, Smith, Horton, Marrone or McCoy.
  7. Can't believe they went for two already. Kelly's got balls.
  8. If it's not him, it's Brady or Manning. Take your pick among the three. There's no wrong answer.
  9. No. The only thing they have in common is they aren't great at throwing downfield, but Smith does everything else better. He'd be an easy upgrade over Fitz.
  10. Because of the guy with the 70 percent completion rate, 8.0 YPA, 13 TDs to 5 INTs, and 104.0 rating this season? Seems silly. He'd be a fine stopgap until the Bills actually find a franchise QB in the draft. Odds are that won't be this year, so they'll have to make do with something and Smith will probably be the best available option.
  11. Would you rather have a "bad interview" guy? Horton has a good track record as a coach. He wouldn't just be hired because of some quotes.
  12. I have no interest in Bruce Arians coaching the Bills unless Andrew Luck is coming with him. LeBeau is a hell of a coordinator; that's not the same job as head coach by any means. Bottom line: No to Holmgren.
  13. Ray Horton would already fuilfill that requirement, if they are indeed going to interview him in Arizona.
  14. Jackson's a solid candidate, but the ideal scenario for me is Lovie at HC and Jackson at OC.
  15. This is poor logic. What hope do the Bills have of ever becoming a good team if they let their best players leave and just keep creating holes? Byrd is an elite safety in the league and Levitre is a borderline elite guard. They both need to be retained. Just because the team sucks doesn't mean it's the fault of these two guys.
  16. Exactly. Skelton and Lindley are bad enough to make Larry Fitz a non-entity. That's saying something.
  17. Smith is going first overall. No chance he'll be a Bill.
  18. I think it's the other way around. Levitre gone, Byrd tagged or signed. Losing either would be a major blow, of course.
  19. Strictly as a backup would be OK. I don't want to see him on the field again unless there's an injury to whichever rookie QB the Bills draft.
