I guess we need to sign the Waterboy (Terrell Owens) so that coach Klein can win a championship.
-
I can't see anyone on the bills team (coaches or players) that could stand up to TO if he were brought here. TO would definitely bring leadership to the locker room- I'm just not sure what kind.
-
Is it just me, or does Dick Jauron remind you of Coach Klein from the movie, THE WATERBOY?

Kevin Jones and Joey Galloway in da house

JUST SAY NO -
Whoever signs Owens will make a ton of money off jersey sales, etc... It reminds me of the Jets signing Favre last year. The Jets may not have made the playoffs, but they made money, were always the media focus, etc... Sure, there are huge drawbacks to signing someone like TO, but whichever owner pulls the trigger will get instant publicity and instant cash into their wallets.

He'll go to the Redskins. Danny Snyder and TO would love to give it to Jerry and the boys.

I think we will take Percy Harvin with our 1st pick; especially, if this deal with Coles fall through. I would like to see us take Brian Orakpo, but he'll be gone by the time our pick arrives.

For once, I have some disposable income (thanks to IRS refund). I want to buy a Bills jersey; however, there isn't a player on our current team that I want to purchase (I can think of plenty of former players I would like to have, but none on the current roster). I lean towards an Edwards jersey. Any suggestions? I wonder if our front office knows they are losing money from people like me. Last year, I made some budget cuts and didn't purchase the NFL Sunday ticket. I missed watching our Bills play each Sunday; however, when they were on national TV last year, they made me realize I made a wise decision by not spending the $ for the entire package. Like I said, I want to spend some money on the Bills, but it's hard to find something worthwhile right now. Seriously, I should probably donate that money to a charity or my church. I am sure they can put it to better use.

The Bills and the 49ers are eerily similar. The Bills’ 103 regular season wins in the 1990s were second best, behind only the San Francisco 49ers. I still long for the good old days when Berman would predict Buffalo vs. San Francisco in the Super Bowl before each season. In this decade, both teams have pretty much met the same fate - lack of playoff appearances, a coaching carousel, multiple QB's, etc... That being said, which of the two do you think will reach a super bowl first?

We need to sign Chris Simms. I can't imagine him being any worse than Fitzpatrick.
-
Let me get this straight, we are considering signing someone (Fitzpatrick) that stunk it up for the Bengals last year. They're are a lot of decent backup QB's in FA right now and we're going after this guy. Someone explain this logic to me. Simms would better. Leftwich would be better. Heck, even Losman would be better to have around than this guy.

The Buffalo Bills retained Fred Jackson's rights with a one-year tender for the minimum $460,000, according to an NFL source. If this is true, I feel bad for Fred. Fred Jackson is one of the few Bills players that shows heart when he plays. I can't believe we didn't offer him a real deal; especially, in light of having Fred Taylor in for a visit and Lynch's most recent off the field antics. This minimum offer is an insult. Fred Jackson is better than Lynch. What is up at One Bills Drive? Show Fred the money.

If the Bills start off 5-1 again, are you going to get excited??
major replied to SKOOBY's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Absolutely. I get excited anytime we win - even if it's a meaningless game after we've been eliminated from playoff contention. -
The other day, most of us sounded off on the Guy on Billszone who claimed he has an inside source at one bills drive that gave him the scoop on our team's offseason plans. I plan on holding this guy accountable. I'm going to go down his checklist throughout this offseason to see how many he gets right. Should be fun. My favorite is when he said we were going to make Albert Haynesworth the highest paid player in the league. Here's a reminder of the Bills zone Nostradamus guy: 1. The Bills number one target in free agency is Albert Haynesworth. 2. The Bills second target is Jeff Saturday. 3. Peters isn't going anywhere. He didnt play at the end of last season because he really was hurt...nothing to do with contract issues. 4.The scouts really like Rey Maualuga and dont be suprised if hes our first round pick and we move Posluszny to the outside. 5.Bo Scafie is on the radar of the Bills as well. So is Owen Daniels but he is an RFA and looks to be a pipe dream. 6. No Chance we re-sign Jabari Greer. 7. The Bills are either going to go LB round 1 and DE round 2 (They like the kid from UCONN) or DE round 1 LB round 2. 8. Chris Simms is going to be brought in as our back up QB most likely. 9. Mark Sanchez picked 1 overall to the Lions

If Jeff Garcia ends up as our backup QB in the offseason, could it turn into another Flutie situation? I have this feeling our fans would demand Garcia after every Trent mistake.

Lets see how many of you can guess our new #2 QB

Jeff Garcia. -
Mine would be the greatest comeback game against the Houston Oilers in the wildcard playoff game. I was so depressed at halftime of that game and on top of the world by games end. Everywhere I went that afternoon, people were congradulating me on the Bills winning. It was a great day that I'd like to relive.

Personally, the 1985 Chicago Bears are the best super bowl team I've ever seen. Forget the undefeated dolphins of 72, the Bears of 85 are something I'm not sure I will ever see again. Your thoughts?

Don Beebe was a true blue Buffalonian. I remember when he won the Super Bowl with the Green Bay Packers and he said that when he won, he was winning it for the Bills fans and for all those players he played with during that run in Buffalo. Are there any players on our roster right now that remind you of this guy? He gave his all to our franchise - even when he was gone, he had us on his mind.

http://www.remembertheafl.com/AFL.htm It's a great stroll through Buffalo Bills memory lane.

Every time the super bowl rolls around, I think about Gale Gilbert and how he lost four straight super bowls with us and one with San Diego (5 total). It got me thinking, did he ever start a game for us in the regular season? I don't think he did, but I can't remember. Someone help me here.

I may be in the minority, but I miss our white helmets from the 70's (the one with the buffalo we have on our helmet now, not the standing buffalo). I wish we'd bring those back. Unfortunately, those helmets were worn during the losing years. Regardless, I do wish we'd bring those back.

Referees seem to always work in Pittsburgh's favor
major posted a topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Is it just me, or do the refs always seem to make the calls in Pittsburgh's favor when they are in the big games? The Seahawks should have won SB 40; however, the refs made the calls that needed to happen in order for Pitt to win it all. I know there isn't a real conspiracy going on; however, it makes me angry that they always get the calls they need. For example, the hit on Willis at the end of the game was helmet to helmet, regardless of what idiotic Phil Simms said on the broadcast. Yet, when I looked for the yellow flag for helmet to helmet, I couldn't find it. -
We already have a great WR in the making. His name is Steve Johnson and his number is 13.
